Love how respectful and clearly you communicate and educate the farmers, especially lovely seeing how respectfully you talk with a female farmer/employee!
As a farm worker often I've experienced rudeness from male contractors who will talk disrespectfully (and act inappropriate) to all of the female employees but will talk politely to the male employees, which is disheartening to say the least. The lovely cows! My last milk cow was a Jersey/Holstein cross. Sweetest being in the face of the earth. My grands were around 5 to 9 and would do chores with me. We used to sing to sweet 'Blackfly' to help her in the milking. At peak she was putting 4 gallons of milk in the pail twice per day. This is milk for my grandbabies, butter (loads of it), yoghurt, cream for your coffee, milk for the chickens and milk for the pigs. It is milk for the family in need down the road. Nothing steps up the pace of a small farm like a cow 🐄. Oh how I miss her.
