I'm grateful for the farmer's good-natured indulgence with the filming. He could have wanted no camera shenanigans, just focus on treating the cow and that's all. Instead he seemed quite content to have the entire thing filmed, so we got to see something rare. I hope the farmers know how grateful we are to them for their indulgence.

Yes! And with all the negativity that could come with an injury video he trusted that people would see that we are working to help and truly care about the cows. But he did put himself out there by allowing me to film an unfortunate circumstance and I'm grateful that you guys will get to see us do everything we can to help Pizz get through this and be a healthy comfortable cow again 😊

      Good to see!
This shows the amount of torque that the 1st cow puts on that claw when she pivoted.
It was eerily clean for essentially being a large nail wrenched off her digit.
      Well done!
The cow you showed when you returned to Pedro wouldn't have anything to do with you!
      She was pissed!
She did the cow equivalent to "Aww, h*ll no!*
She ran out of there as fast as her newly trimmed hoofs could carry her!
That really shows the difference in personality of the cows, the last one was so friendly in comparison!
Great video, I'm crossing fingers for positive updates from the Pizz cow.
(I did hear that right, right?)

Just seems strange to me that he'd feel the need to defend his duties of *caring for animals* in the first place, but I grew up in a rural community in the Midwest. I'm still often thrown for a loop and *very much* offended when people talk like keeping livestock and farming is evil.

And I agree 100% with your decision to block the girl first. It gives her a shot at natural recovery and saves her from the dreaded Reaper-Mobile for a time. If she recovers from this, then we can say "This cow had pulled her whole hoof off by accident, and cheated death in the process."

I watch Nate the Hoof Guy and this was recommended to me. This is my first time watching, and I look forward to more of your videos! Is there an update on the cow? I was really concerned for her and I like that you took care of her.

I gotta say, it was really interesting seeing the entire hoof capsule off a cow. But man that must've cause a lot of pain for that poor cow.

Aaron, you are brilliant to show a shot of the cow’s face as you are trimming. First time I have seen this done. She did look pretty comfortable. I hope the emergency cow has a good outcome. I’ve had a toenail ripped off and the cow must have had ten times my pain because she had to put pressure on it when walking. Would an amputation, if necessary, be just that damaged claw?

From the 1st day a person starts trimming, how long does it take to be able to trim and feel comfortable doing so? I know it depends on the person but like a week, month, year, years?

I don't see why you keep having to explain yourself. IF they would pay attention, they would know how serious you take their welfare and your job! So annoying for the rest of us that they talk without having their story straight.

So glad the farmer wrapped her up so well. He clearly cares about his animals, you can see by how healthy and calm they all are. I imagine with an injury that severe, if she didn't trust that farmer, no matter how big he is she is still bigger, she wouldn't have cooperated so nicely having her foot tied up and just standing there while you dealt with the foot. Also glad to see how quick and attentive you were in getting that wound cleaned up and getting the block on.

What a wonderful farmer! Accidents happen all the time, especially with a lot of animals, but you can tell he really cares about his animals. Their setup is really nice, and the fact that the foot is so hard is super good, it means the girls aren't standing in a wet environment for too long. Plus he seems like such a good natured person.
