Still constantly watching the street too. Even when they're talking to someone, they're looking left and right the whole time. They call it hyper vigilance these days. Lot of ex-soldiers have the same habits.
man watching u guys.. i seldomly miss my old crew and my dai lo and og's. im nearly 40 now and went straight a long time ago but have many many vivid memories. my og some hardcore ones killed themselves thru depression and over a woman.. some in jail.. some drug fkd.. some doing well.. some disappeared.. some od. what a time. good to see u guys doing well. its life isnt it, we just want to do well look after ourselves and families. This Chinatown Edition IRL with the OGs was my favorite! Walking down memory lane with Kenny as he was telling us his stories. Dim Sum makes me hungry 🤤🥢 I want some now 🙃
Nice to see all these guys reminiscing old times in the same hood. Back in the day, these guys would NEVER hang around together like this. It was wild & dangerous back then in those streets of Chinatown. You couldn’t walk in certain blocks without getting staredowns from gangsters on every corner & they were all different allies.
The way these guys act really represented their gangs. Ghost shadows were wild and crazy, Kenny and China mac is kinda loud and wild. Tung on is more calm and about money making, big head is a pretty calm boss.
Thank you for these first-hand accounts of the life. These gentlemen have taught us alot. I miss Chinatown alot: I left to go to the military nearly 20 years ago, and I have not been back since. One of these days, I will come back, and walk the same streets you all did, and I will remember these stories of the OG.
Love this stuff. People have no idea how extra wild nyc was back in the 70s-90s. I’m lucky enough to hear stories first hand from people involved in some crazy ish. Now they’re just regular old men living upstate lol
I didn't expect a Cambodian to be apart of the crew but that's dope! I got to visit Chinatown NYC 1 day in the future. Respect ChinaMac for IRL of the OG's! 💯
I remember going to Chinatown back in the days when I would visit New York and China Town had the Fire Chinese food, Chinese Town back then was definitely G'd out!!!!
This whole video was a trip down memory lane of my Saturdays as a kid. I used to live in Sunset Park Brooklyn and would go to Chinese school at 62 mott st. Then after school and lunch, i would head over to the library on East Broadway. The kids section was on the 2nd floor and I would always play wheel of fortune on floppy disk on their computer. I live in CA now and havent had golden unicorn dim sum in almost 30 years.
under different circumstances it would have been nice to have meet. we personally would have gotten along great. even though we all from different parts of the world..the asian street code is identical. we have the same saying over here that the og used to say ' we dont shit in our own back yard '
I still remember some of these street’sI especially mac street one day I was seat down there with my hommie on the some bench two guys come over ask me what I am doing here so I answered them I am relax here so they told me don’t hangout here is not safe so I just follow what they said then I take off I believe was year of 90
Bro real shit this is good content im all the way from london and damn bro this so interesting and only you could of made this happen man keep doing more series about chinatown proper sick
An Asian host vs an Asian guest over who pays the food bill is no joke. Sometimes the poor waiter/waitress is stuck in the middle with two folks trying to force the cash in their hands lol.
honestly its better than no one paying at all. ive been in the middle of that and as a chinese i always laugh my ass off because its a show of respect 😂😂 sometimes i HAVE to pick the first person that give me their card…its just normal in Chinese culture

I can tell that Kenny was a idgaf guy when he was younger because he still got a lil bit of that in him 😂
Crazy how the entire crew still stands watch every time they stop to talk. Some habits never go away.

I love hearing the old hesds talk about back in the days white black chinese all the old heads stories be wild from back in the day
China mac is always loud asf but here he really knows when to shut up and let the OGs speak 😂 respect
Asian style
China Mac is the younger generation like me. We are loud around American folks but we stay quiet with the OGs, our uncles. Lol
