Here's some more info about the Growler American Stout Mountain bike / Hardtail Trail Bike:
Intro:
Welcome to the new age of American Made Bikes. The American Stout is a bigger, bolder American Made iteration of our classic Mr. Big Stuff fat bike and is built using our proprietary OME technology. The larger volume tires float more easily through snow while giving better traction and control as the rider floats through roots and rock gardens. The American Stout is the ultimate "Do it all no matter what you need" trail mountain bike.

I'm in Chicago where can I buy a fat tire bike?
@@1718HULK You can order one from us! We ship anywhere in the US. Plus our bikes come almost fully assembled, all you have to do is put the front wheel on.
Love the reviews guys, well done explanation 👍
Is there a way we can review this in the Asian market. We don't have much option for fat bikes here.

Got my American Stout GX with the Mastodon comp. fork and dropper post at the end of May 2021 This bike is AWESOME! When it came all I had to do was put the front tire on, install my pedals, and put the handlebars on. took 10 minutes and I was out the door! I rode it all summer The bike is a blast to ride Great company to do business with!
TH-cam suggested this video. Awesome!
I own a few fat bikes and I'm looking at purchasing another one for my girlfriend in full suspension. I saw the Double Stout that may work real well. I have a Surley Bucksaw and they do not make it anymore, so I'm looking for a full suspension fatbike for her. Your Double Stout looks like it may be the one I'm looking for. And, it's made in America. That means a lot to me. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! We'd love to have you join the Growler family. Let us know if you have any questions!
Aww man this bike is awesome! I’m just about to order the Argus sport, I wish I could afford one of these! Always good to see a company put thought into their bikes!
Thanks for checking out our bikes! If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out, and if you're ever interested in a Growler we also offer financing!
I just got one and love it so so so so so so so so so much
@@theonewheelbandit. We're so glad you're loving it!
I can make this for you for $1500.
Great looking bike. Good job! :-)
It might be time to try one of these out. I'm still running a 2010 Lynskey. Lol.
We'd love to get you on one! Definitely sounds like it's time for an update ;) Feel free to reach out with any questions, we love talking bikes.
What if I wanna buy a fat tire bike but use it as a street bike? I am just a heavier guy. I don't plan on using it off road a lot, just thru the city. Would this still be good for normal city rides? Or would I look stupid riding a mountain bike on just normal roads?
Just placed my order yayyyy
Welcome to the Growler Family!
It looks so much more fun than full suspension in my opinion. Maybe not as capable downhill but it fits my riding style
We love our hardtails!
I got a question ..... I'm just now starting to see fat bikes for the first time in my life..I just retired from Trucking and I'm 69 years old..I ride a single speed bike everyday 15 miles for exercise....I have a 77 thousand acre lake close to where I live and I want to get a fat bike to ride the trails around that lake...but I got to ride on the streets of my hometown to so will a fat bike give me some decent speed around town...I'm not sure about the speed of the fat bike cause all I'm seeing is a single gear on the sprocket..it's not geared like a mountain bike...can u explain to me about the gears an how fast it might go..can I do a 20 mile trip with decent speed
Quick question, does it have gear
If so, which gears?
Just discovered you guys. I like the beer crossover theme. I have never ridden a fat bike. They look super cool!
We appreciate that! We're pretty fond of our theme as well. Fat bikes are an absolute blast to ride. If you'd ever like to get on one, don't hesitate to reach out! Thanks for watching!
Nice
Whats the price of an American Stout ? I need one in a XL size
Wow sana magkaron ak ng tulad nito. Amazing👍👍👍
I’m glad I found these bikes because y’all have a XXL model
You know it! We actually have an NFL player on one of our bikes, Buffalo Bills' Harrison Phillips!
I’m about to order on either today or tomorrow
@@alexhanson6299 congrats on the new bike! Just saw the order pop through our system. The yellow on gloss black frame is going to look great! Nice choice.
noiice .. i need one for my collection . don't laugh i'm rollin on a Mongoose Dolomite 7speed . pick it up free bum for nothing , and to be honest the bike is kickin some ass all you have to do is know is how to wrench on bikes and make those upgrade and your good that if you 're low on duckiets (money) and you're good
Thought this video would help me pick a bike, not try to sell me one
Awww man am from the UK I would love to order one but I don't know if I can as I don't know the shipping quote!!

very nice
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
New subs here from Philippines
Thank you, we appreciate the support!
Hey... since you seem to answer questions... I AM gonna go ahead & ask one... I like fat bikes... but I mostly ride on gravel & pavement... so should I consider one of these...? Plz reply... I am very confused...
Strangely loaded question. If you're going to ride in snow or sand than yes. On pavement, why would you even think of a sat bike? Gravel woke be a personal choice but most would go with a gravel bike.
Hey! Thanks for watching! Fat bikes are a blast anywhere you want to ride them. While a road bike will certainly be faster on the road, if you're looking for maximum fun and the ability to ride anywhere, fat bikes are the way to go!
Nice Fat Bike, I ride a ridged FATBOY and this would be cool to have a Double Stout! I do wonder how shocks would change my ride? And how is the shipping going today are you busy or would it come to PA. very quick or are parts held up today due to Covid?

I have a Trek Farley 7 on order, but considered this a couple of months ago. I reached out about the frame being Made in USA, but never heard back. I would cancel my Trek order if confirmed, otherwise they are no different than Trek.
Hi! All the aluminum frames that we offer are manufactured in America. As a bonus we custom powder coat and hand assembled every bike to your spec. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have.
Can you run a 26 x 5.05 in. tires on the rear? Snowshoe 2XL 5.05?
Our American Stout frame is designed for 27.5" so that wouldn't fit, but check out our Nitro Stout which will take 26" here: growlerbikes.com/collections/growler-nitro-stout
If you're interested we also did a video on that bike which you can watch here: th-cam.com/video/egeGp0kzznA/w-d-xo.html
surly ice cream truck can run vee 2xls
What gear makes this fat bike fast
Do you know how well the tires would hold up on asphalt ?
Honestly not too well. You would probably reduce the wear of tire by 25% or more by running them on asphalt. With that being said we have customers that strictly run their bikes on road or beach only and go years without swapping tires.
How long does the building process take from when we place the order till we get the bike? Thanks
Before the pandemic the build time was 5-8 business days. Currently we are at 3 weeks. Build times will change based on demand.
Ok I’m placing my order right now
@@brewhousebikesgrowlerbikes4505 can i go speed in humps in this
Beautiful fatbike💞
Thanks for watching!
does it not have suspension because the fat tires take all the shock???
Some of our fat bikes do have suspension, it all depends on the build. But yes, the tires can soak up some of the shock. Thanks for watching!
2.75x4.5" tire ? did you guy make up a new tire size ?
Its the typical 26x4.X" tires not 27.5"
27.5" fat is used by a few manufacturers on their bikes actually!
@@brewhousebikesgrowlerbikes4505 you’re right. I see that’s the new trend. Soon it might even be 29x4.8!
What fork offers the most travel and will fit 4.5 fat tires?
The Manitou Mastodon is the king of Fat bike forks as of now. They really are fantastic. You can get them in pretty much any size but I would take a look at what the frame design of the bike you are buying is and choose the correct length from there. Both the Growler American Stout and Nitro Stout are designed for 100mm. Our double stout is designed for 120mm.
@@brewhousebikesgrowlerbikes4505 thank you for your reply, I can’t find specs for my frame. Says 6061 aluminum and I am still waiting for the bike. It is a M2S r750fs. Any help would be appreciated
I wud love to have fat byke but thay are a bit expensive and a lithle bit more dificult to find one. Im just find thre. This one, specialized fat boy (wich is my favorit at the moment) and scott big ed. I have once drive fat byke but im litle warried about drive abilities. I think its best for downhill like for fun but will it cross 100km just like normal track bykes? I mean it looks more heavy and i think uphill and airdinamick will be a problem 😐
Fat bikes are one of the most versatile styles of bike out there! Great in all conditions and will handle just about anything you can throw at it. Let us know if you have any more questions!
@@brewhousebikesgrowlerbikes4505 thats good note it help me i didn't know but an actual question is if fat byke can across same rang like normal byke (trek)
@@brewhousebikesgrowlerbikes4505 i mean i know i can cross same range by just moving faster im just askink if i can ride next to my frends driving trek byke
Growler means something else in the UK...
not just the UK ;)
I'm proud of my growler and show it off around town as often as possible.
Can you put regular mtn bike tires on it ? Not fat?
Yes! We have lots of customers that run multiple wheelsets. 29+ is a great option.
Growler Bikes thank you! And thanks for the quick response 👍
It went together easily in less than an hour. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
👍👍👍

Could you please advise which is a good fat bike?
My choices were Ontrack, Sturdy, NinetyOne or Hydra.
Your experience and suggestions will be great help.
Hi Ganga,
Unfortunately we don’t see these brands in America. All three of these are very similar in design and layout. I would suggest if possible give each one a test ride and find the one that feels the most comfortable.
Would love to rip this through the snow
One of our favorite applications for these bikes, thanks for watching!
Are the bike slow?
Nope, they rip!
I have the same bike but it is red
