    An amazing little amp. I've tried one a few times at Guitar Center and was impressed.although I can't bring myself to buy an amp with no reverb and a 6.5 in speaker. Definitely sounds like a slimmed down version of a big boy Vox!

      yep, and it sounds better in real life than through youtube, especially when mic is close to the speaker as in this vid...You can really feel and hear the open-back tones in real life👌😎

    You obviously love this amp, and I don't blame you:)
    I use one with a multi effects pedal with aux in , looper and drum machine and it's connected to two 10" speaker cabs.
    It can do anything I need and more , and yes I know the pedal costs more than the amp ,but it's a great clean platform.
    Nice playing, I enjoy your channel.

      Cool setup man😎👍
      Yeah, cleans are clean as it gets for even under $400👌
      It's indeed a great platform for pedals, and I believe that when it's connected to better speakers, the tones are spot-on😎
      thank you for commenting and complimenting(I was really rusted when started this channel, but I'm getting more comfortable with the guitar again)😊
      awesome that you like my channel😊

    Hello Guitarist Next Door. That was a well presented review of the VOX Pathfinder 10 amp. In your video "Roland Micro Cube GX vs Yamaha THR5" you replied a comment that I left on that video that your camera now uses a shotgun microphone. Your voice audio quality in this video is much improved because of the shotgun microphone. 👍

      hi!
      yep, I used it on this one. it's not on the same level with more experienced/bigger TH-camrs, but I'm happy with it right now😊
      thanks for commenting and for compliments too😎👍

    Love my PF10 so much - not getting all the HiGain Hate it gets - it is of course no ModernMetal or HiGain Jimmi Hendrix Leadtone Amp - but I wouldn't hate a Prius because it's not a Monstertruck right? I love the Clean Vox Tones with my Telecaster and just yesterday I recorded a beauty of a Crunch Tone. Thick, Juicy and everywhere in the Mix 🔥 Thanks for the Review and have fun with your Vox 🚀

    • @guitaristnextdoor8430

      Awesome that you love it!👌
      And yep, its no metal amp, but awesome with clean and crunch, really open and full tone😎
      Thanks for commenting and have fun with yours too☺️👍

    I use one of these as a preamp
    Plug the Headphone out into your poweramp (or FX return) and you've got a really fine versatile amp

    Nice review of what seems to be a great amp. Perhaps a built in reverb or delay could improve this amp even more?

    Man, I literally have the same setup, haha! A Vox Pathfinder 10 and an Epiphone Special VE in ebony. I have recently upgraded from the Vox to the Boss Katana 100, but still use the Vox from time to time as it has its own thing going. The guitar is great for the money but as I'm getting better now, I'm looking to upgrade that too. You can't go wrong with both, though, if you're on a tight budget.

    • @guitaristnextdoor8430

      and I have the BOSS Katana 50 MKii haha😂👌. I 100% agree, this guitar and amp are a great combo for beginners or if you are on a tight budget. Superb bang for the buck!

    I just picked up a used one for $40. Put my Pod Go straight in and man! Just turn off the amp and cab sim. I’ve got several smaller amps. Spark, Monoprice 15 and this solid state leaves them in the dust! Now I’ll be looking out for a Vox 9168R!

    Gr8 review. Which would u recommend best for cleans? Pathfinder 10 or the fly 3? Don't care about portability and they are priced the same for me. Mostly want to play country music with some irish folk and rock. So cleans is important.

    Just yesterday got one as a first amp from a friend for the equivalent of 34 bucks. For that price I could really choose between a new tiny 9v powered marshall thing and this and so far I'm pretty pleased with it. Have you tried doing the famous LED delete mod to it?

  • @guillaumeghestem
    @guillaumeghestem 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi ! I own this little amp for about 15 years... And for sûre it's à good amp, but since I mod it by canceling thé resistor ( or led mode)!
    You should try it, 5 minutes work and definetely changing, especially with another cab linked in it ! 😉

    • @guitaristnextdoor8430
      @guitaristnextdoor8430  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@guitaristnextdoor8430 more bass, more graaaaaoooo, no more synthtic distortion (no need to push the button any more) but a good old overdrive.! Linked to à 1x12, or 2x12 it's a great valvestate spare amp for gigs

    • @guitaristnextdoor8430
      @guitaristnextdoor8430  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been using and loving Jim Dunlop Jazz III picks....those are a bit smaller in size but thicker than regular picks. great for fast playing and riffs. only real con is that with clean intros for example, a thinner pick provides nicer tone IMO. but otherwise, I just love these, been using them for over 5 years😎😍
