according to Legend, the founder of Wing Chun style, was a nun, Ng Mui, who escaped the destruction of the Northern Shaolin temple, at the hand of one of the Qing Emperor. There was a type of martial Arts called Five Ancestors fist, Master Ng Mui was one of those Five ancestors who escaped the Shaolin Temple Destruction. Later on, a New Shaolin Temple was established in the South.
More dramatic in Cantonese. Especially in Ip Man 3. 16:26- That's exactly what I said to mama, when we watched the series together "Uh Oh, Ip Man got permission now!!!"
If you want to continue Donnie Yen's journey after these movies, he is also in Blade 2. He is not the main character but it a plus because those 2 movies are good.
A straight fiyah flick with Donnie Yen you need to check out, PRONTO, is "S.P.L." (Saat po long), aka "Kill Zone" (2005), which also stars legend, Sammo Hung. The story and the fight choreography in this movie is second to none. Top notch! Trust me. ;)
There's also a "Kill Zone 2" (2015), but it is a totally different storyline and characters, but again the storyline, and the fight choreography is absolutely amazing. This one stars Muay Thai master, Tony Jaa! Another must see! Believe me, Reembok!
8:59 comment one in the chamber is for a gun that loads upward. The gun in the movie is a revolver and all bullets are held by the round thing. Pushing out the round thing removed All! of the bullets.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Interesting fact: Many don’t know this but IP MAN had four children, two sons and two daughters but his daughters were never mentioned or talked about at all really just his sons were.
There is good 1-1,5 seconds delay between movie and your reaction to it. I guess its just synchronisation issue. Just to let you know 😅 Great reaction 👍🏻
Now that you’re watching Ip Man if you remember anything from Danny yen on John Wick four he’s actually doing some of those really fast punches in the movie kind of giving us a reminiscing of our beloved Ip Man
17:08 As you heard Wing Chun was created by a woman who’s name was Ng Mui but during that era women still were not looked at as fighters or influential icons, IP MAN isn’t the founder but because of his large influence he was able to make it globally popular while combining it with his own style. *From what I understand WING CHUN was more of a defensive style in order for women to protect themselves when need be as we saw IP MAN dodging the opponent’s moves before striking back.*
His name is actually Yip Man, they changed it for the film so they had more licence to stray from the real history in the later films. The first film was the best by far & the wing chun very authentic.
I liked Ip Man 1 for the Wing Chun content. However, much of this movie didn't really happen. I mean this movie makes Dragon The Bruce Lee Story look like a documentary. The other Ip Man movies deviate even more from reality. As far as one in the chamber, this might be true of semi-automatic weapons. Revolvers bullets are in the chamber that he ejected.
My favorite thing about the final fight is that the General didn’t stand even the slightest chance of doing anything and IP just beat him to death. I’m sick and tired of all these movies where the enemy is better than the hero and the hero has to do something strategic to beat him. There is none of that here. Just a bad man getting what he deserves. Violently.
Well, not exactly “not the slightest chance”. He literally pushed Ip Man to the edge and was clearly the most dangerous enemy Ip Man faced, though of course Ip Man was just enough of a better fighter.
The Ip Man movies are alot of fun to watch, there are 4 Ip Man movies especially a Spin-Off called Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy which is a spin-off to Ip Man 3.
Great reaction. You'd love Hero (2002) Jet Li with Donnie Yen in one of the most beautiful visual fights you could see. Where it's set and the audio throughout is breathtaking (You'd understand after if you watch it) You'd also love Romeo Must Die with Jet Li and the late great Aaliyah. R.I.P. 😔
"Why would they do that?" in reference to the depopulation and killings. It's kinda hard for us Westerners to really understand the absolute and mutual racial hatred that many Asians ethnicities have for other Asian ethnicities. Especially during that time.
You seem to be very interested in martial arts movies. Therefore, I would like to recommend you to watch "THE RAID" and "THE RAID2", which in my opinion still contain the best fight scenes I have ever seen in a movie. 🙏
Well, I personally love that you will never upload a reaction to a movie I've ever watched 😂 Bloodsport was the last, and I'm sure it was still the 80s when I watched it. Basically I was an infant 😂
Ip Man would agree with this message. I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps: 1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost. 2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell). 3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins. 4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of faith and your self-righteous works). 5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈 6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to know God's will for your life.
Can not enjoy your reaction. All of the important scenes have you possisioned in the center of the screen. The excuse that its blocked is irrelevant because ive seen many reactions to this fight and the do not need to self center to control the algorithm. Learn to do it right and maybe youll be better. This is lazy.
While Yip Man was a real person, this story is pure fanfiction. It somehow manages to be even LESS historically accurate than Braveheart. Yip Man is famous because of Bruce Lee, not because of anything he actually did. "Ip Man existed" and "Japan invaded and occupied China" are the two only accurate parts of this movie. Pretty much everything else is made up. Like most traditional Chinese martial artists, it's unlikely that Yip Man ever had a real fight in his entire life. He's just joined the Bruce Lee train of being a heavily lionized and exaggerated individual thanks in large part of Chinese nationalistic propaganda and internet hero worship. Bruce Lee never fought anyone either. His only real fight was against a waiter.
Ip Man wasn't the founder of Wing Chun. But he was the one that gave it global exposition and the greatest practitioner of it
Also, the "Jackie Chan thing" is called a wooden dummy or Mook Jang, which helps with conditioning
in world war two we mostly hear about the german and soviet atrocities, but japan was just as bad
So was America. It's a matter of perspective. To be fair, the Soviet Union lost the most people in WW2.
Japan literally kept concentration camps to literally torture and experiment on opposing forces that even adolf was shocked. That's saying something.
@@putinscat1208Japan and China really ravaged each other. War is a very human trait regardless of locale, race, or religion.

IP man's wife stayed with him even in his worst moments of his life....
17:00 The founder of Wing Chun kung fu was a woman, a Buddhist nun called Wing Chun
The nun's name was Ng Mui. She taught the style to Yim Wing Chun so she could get out of an arranged marriage.
Yes goes back thousands of years
@@ofenomeno1381Actually, only a few hundred years. Kung-fu is much older than Wing Chun.

Master Ip showed the general mercy. He shared his life. Ip humiliated the general and look his honor. He gave the general a fate worse than death.

I honestly think the subtitled version is better
Im a big fan ❤❤❤❤
i love how you're reacting to rocky and ip man. Because I swear, the premise of Rocky 4 and Ip Man 2 were so similar you'll love it
If you want to continue Donnie Yen's journey after these movies, he is also in Blade 2. He is not the main character but it a plus because those 2 movies are good.
Gotta use the original Cantonese. If only to hear the emotion/rage in his voice after Liu sifu is killed.

Flashpoint was better than Kill Zone, its' sequel.
Ip Man was not the founder of wing chun but he is the reason why it became so popular. he is a grandmaster of wingchun

Great reaction Reema. I appreciate your commentary a lot and especially the compassion. Loved your take on IP Man, and Rocky 1-3. Very good indeed!
Ip man was not the inventor of wing Chun but the more famous master in modern times wing Chun school clan.
No, in a revolve, all the ammo is in the revolver, aka drum....
Iou are thinking about semiautomatics and such, with magazines.
The "Jackie Chan thing" is a traditional way to practice without a partner going back hundreds of years, a bit before Jackie
i love how she says it's donnie yen standing like that no dummie it's the character he's playing
