R.I.P Paulie😔😔😔😔
I was about to say it just like that u fkr😂 i guess great minds think alike.. R.I.P Paulie
Yo.,..Tommy Gunn even says RIP
R.I.P. Carl Weathers.
And rip Carl Weathers
RIP Burt Young. He was one of a kind. Very interactive on social media.
Damn I didn’t know he died
When Burt Young was in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959 he boxed regularly, winning 32 of 34 boxing bouts. He 's like Rocky in his own way, RIP Burt :(
Drago’s entrance has to be the most iconic/intimidating entrances in movie history 🔥
Tony Burton was great in this. RIP to him and to Burt Young.
Rest in peace
Burt Young
Uncle Paulie
49:04 were real punches. Any punches showed in that fashion were real shots. Stallone actually had to have surgery from being hit in the ribs so many times after the movie was filmed
Ivan never faced any adversity before in the ring. He got cut he didn't know how to handle it. He went down and couldn't recover. Rocky is used to going down and being cut so he knows how to survive. That much is realistic.
That is the only reason why Rocky won. If Ivan was at least a little used to beating, Rocky would end up dead.
Yeah. Drago was still an amateur when he fought apollo. And being as big as he was, that gave him an advantage against other average fighters.
When you're used to only facing a bunch of "fall guys" in sparring matches, it doesn't matter how strong you are.
24:49 The way his body spasmed on the canvas indicates that he had suffered some sort of TBI (traumatic brain injury), so even if he had survived the fight, he probably would have been looking at massive brain damage.
also looks like his neck snapped before he fell
@@mafrank1natural Also a possibility. I heard Lundgren, who had no previous fight choreography experience, was actually beating the crap out of Carl Weather (Apollo) for real. Weathers threatened to walk because of it until Stallone calmed him down and convinced him to finish his scenes.
RIP Burt Young an actual professional boxer, that once had a charity fight with Mohammed Ali.
Saw this one in theatre when first came out. R.I.P. Burt Young.🙏
Excited for Rocky 5 and Rocky Balboa (6)!
The robot was included after Stallone saw it at a party and wanted it in the movie. The slip from Apollo wasn’t scripted, it was Carl Weathers slipping for real but they liked it and kept it in. The scenes of Rocky in rural Russia were filmed in Wyoming. As for the final fight, it was filmed at the Agrodome in Vancouver, all the extras were Canadians who probably didn’t understand a word of Russian the ring announcer was saying.
What slip?
my fav of the franchise , great villian and soundtrack
47:30 is like the midway point of a half marathon - You’re already tired as fuck, but you remember that you want
this more than you ever wanted before you started training. No pain, when compared to all the accumulated pain and work you’ve put in 6/7 days a week for a year
Paulie has the best arc in the Rocky series imo
The best training montages of all the movies.
Oddley in an interview Dolph mentioned that in the interview office there were so many tall massive guys there that made him feel so small he almost left.
If he dies he dies.
Best movie of all time rip pauly
Not a first time reaction. The description indicates “first time reaction” but the reactor declares they and their entire family watched this one and speaks about how well she remembers it.
J'ai adoré voir vos réactions à l'un de mes films préférés.
from what i read about Drago, he actually was an Olympic gold medalist in boxing and fought a number of amateur matches against other Russian military. so the whole "Drago hasnt fought anybody" is only partially true.
also...something i noticed in the Rocky vs Drago fight was that while it didnt seem like it for a while, those body punches started taking a toll on Drago's body. also... the more times that Rocky refused to stay down, the more it started to mess with Drago's head. you can tell he was getting more and more frustrated because as the fight progresses, his punches start becoming less and less powerful and disciplined and going more into desperate.
You ain't wrong.....
Could be a WW3
Situation
But we have to make the cake and we gotta be the light
The next movie is a necessary watch because it shows the consequences of Rocky's style of letting himself get hit
I like ur reactions . Because u don’t talk a lot during the movies. People talk over the best parts . That’s y I subscribe
@Reembok Reacts I think what hurts the most in this film, he carries the guilt from losing both Mickey and Apollo. Mickey took in and trained Rocky and Apollo gave him the one thing no one else gave him...a chance and an oppurtunity. Not only that, but Apollo challenged him again and lost honestly and honourably. And when Rocky was at his lowest after losing Mickey and the fight to Clubber, Apollo stepped in and brought him back to life.
Awe just read that. R.I.P. Burt Young he played an awesome character in Paulie! Also nice reaction. I like your style its cute😉
Rocky 4 is the best rocky movie in my opinion simply because Ivan Drago was the most formidable opponent that the rocky character had to overcome
ABSOLUTELY!
Plus it shows the ramifications later in other movies from fighting drago. Clubber didn't do half as much as what Drago did.
Rocky should have called it, yes. But Rocky knew Apollo and he took the " No matter what" seriously. He knew their friendship was going to be very rough if Apollo would have made it because Rocky trew the towel. Still they made a big mistake removing Apollo from the Rocky franchise.
Worlds gone mad, but there's still many, many good people in it and we must remember that when all hope may seem lost.
16:46 Here we are now, seeing the same Apollo who popped up in _Rocky II._ He had _won_ the fight against Rocky, but it ended up not _mattering_ to him because of _hate_ mail. Total strangers wrote letters to him that pissed him off and got him riled up. _Strangers._
Now, here we are with the same sentiment _again._ Ludmilla is implying that Apollo is not at the top of his game and there's no _way_ he'd be able to take Drago. He cannot _stand_ that. He was the American Heavyweight Champion, once upon a time, but the fact that he isn't at this particular _moment_ is a pill he cannot _swallow._ This is something I cannot _relate_ to.
R.I.P. ❤❤🙏😭
RIP Mr. Young u will be missed "Paulie" Peace n Love✌️
R.I.P. Mr. Young
RIP Burt Young (Paulie)
Ivan Drago is considered an amateur in his ranking even though he fought in the Olympics, while they see Apollo Creed as being old or over the hill as they put it.
Now Paulie's truly gone too
As I’ve understood things, the making of this movie got delayed.
The reason was, that Dolph actually injured Stallone when they were sparring before the filming.Dolph hit a litttle too hard. 😳🤔
Love the Rocky reactions watched them all and theres still more left. Hopefully you continue. This one has always been my favorite. Thanks for your content.
Great Reaction!
R.I.P. Burt Young🙏🏻
Reembok, now you have to react to Ip Man 2 immediately lmao, and compare it to Rocky 4.
RIP Paulie.
R.I.P. Burt Young
33:00 Look at this car. I mean, I have no _idea_ how it handles cold, but it _cannot_ be adept for navigating _snow_ drifts this deep. I mean thank god someone keeps these _roads_ plowed, or these guys would not be able to come and _go._
Great reaction Remma. The thing I love about this movie is how much Rocky loved Apollo like a brother. You are right he will always carry that guilt around. He wanted to follow his brother's word, but not at the cost of his life. :( You have to watch the Creed movies after you are done with Rocky movies. Also, funny thing is Dolph is a great actor. He is actually Swedish not Russian and Chemical Engineer. :) He also coached the US Decathlon team.
Nice introduction hopes her channel continues to grow, her personality is infectious.
55:57 your review was great thanks.
Rocky actually did throw the towel the last sec, but it was way too late
Great Reaction!!! I know this is a reaction video but she is BEAUTIFUL ❤ I’m immediately subscribing and turning ALL notifications ON!!!!!
The Apollo fight Rocky was torn between a good friend and the pride of a fighter...he and Apollo knew that during the fight
It was the wrong thing for Creed to make Rocky promise not to end the fight. If he calls it, Apollo may never forgive him; if he lets it run its course, Creed could be injured or - in this case - killed. I think if I was in Rocky's place, I would have thrown in the towel. I might lose a friend, but Apollo would still be alive for his family.
This one is my personal favorite out of all them Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago makes a great! villain that makes Rocky 4 work thumbs up 👍 😀
Deine reaction ist perfekt ❤
The scenes in Russia, including the training montage, were filmed in Wyoming (no way an American film crew were going to be allowed that kind of access in Russia in the mid-80s) and the fight between Rocky & Drago was filmed in Vancouver.
RIP Carl Weathers
yeah i noticed the super old school stand up at the table
A yo PAULIE!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your channel should have WAY more subs. Always great. I hope you get more attention than you've had.
This best movie in the all Rocky and Creed franchise no other movie comes even close to this movie. This is the most successful Rocky movie and the most remembered movie without this movie there are no Creed movies. I love the Montage in this movie Hearts On Fire, Fun facts: During the filming of this movie Stallone asked Dolph to really spar with him. Stallone ended up in the hospital cause Dolph punch him so hard he moved his heart . Another fun fact Brigitte Nielsen the actress who plays Drago wife was the real life girlfriend of Stallone during the time of the filming. :) . You should see Dolph Languren movies like The Punisher 1989, Universal Solider, Showdown In Little Tokyo , I Come In Peace. Rip to Burt Young (Paulie my favorite character)
Your opinion on whether it’s the greatest Rockeye/Creed movie. I will give you this, though you are correct. When you say without this film, don’t get the Creed movies.
I agree
@@EVGriffinJrI disagree. Creed 2 wouldn’t have happened. The first one has no connection to this other than Apollo dying. Even if Apollo was still alive they could’ve still jus changed the story of creed slightly
Burt Young actually passed away 2 weeks ago, on the 8th October, but it was only announced in the last couple of days. RIP
❤😮 you should watch the other two get your tissue ready for part five lolol love it 😢
Dolph is a monster. He's pinnacle. He almost killed Stallone doing this movie. Stallone a little rough nugget to a full blown Anglo.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Another Great Reaction,Loved It. May Burt Young R.I.P. The Last Film i ever saw him in was on "Carlito's Way: Rise To Power"(2007) & another great Sylvester Stallone Film that's very underrated is "Over The Top"(1987) i totally recommend them both
Also Back To School
Rocky didnt need sparring cuz hes already a seasoned professional champion. Drago was still a nood by comparison. His size and strength was really the only reason he could've won against apollo. And thays really what rocky had to focus on. Getting as strong as he can, and build his defenses as best he could. He had to bring his physicality to dragos level.
I am with Reembok Reacts no matter what 💯
❤❤😮 my favorite movie you seen 5 6 watch the Creed
24:55 he died because of the impact of the punches. He got hit too many times, really really hard.
ive worked out alot to heart's on fire haha love it!
Nice reaction! . Please 🙏 make a reaction of "Poseidon" 2006. Could it be possible?
The reason Rocky didn't throw the towel because before the second round of Rocky telling him we gotta stop this thing Apollo tells him you gotta promise me you won't stop this fight and said You don't stop this fight no matter what
If you listen closely Apollo yells, "NO!!"
Reem 24:53 in newspaper snippets from the movie and online it says Apollo died from massive head injuries.
Literally just seen this reaction and now I’m hearing Carl Weathers has passed on, wth 💔
46:42 And _now,_ the tables start to _turn._
The leg lifts he did in training was invented by Bruce Lee which he called the Dragon lift a core exercise.
This Rocky movie is childhood memories for me. Had no idea Burt Young died he was such a great actor especially as Paulie in the Rocky franchise. 🪦 to this iconic actor. Also you were talking straight facts about the speech Rocky gave at the end of the fight with Drago it is definitely relevant today in 2023 coming up on 2024.
26:40 "You see all the propaganda and misunderstandings _everywhere._ Ugh. That's why we have _sports_ and not war. _Olympics._ Not war."
😕 Ideally. I mean, that's the _hope._
This movie is like one long workout video.
7:39 This crude, '80's conception of artificial intelligence.
A great boxing movie with the heart of a champion, Million Dollar Baby starring Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman
Burt young and now carl weathers of short time from one another so sad to hear
Carl weathers AKA Apollo Creed has died on February 1 2024
Instead of the robot for Paulie’s plot, I think they should have portrayed him reassessing his past life somehow. It would have matched the theme of not being afraid to change.
His pass live, was Paulie Buddhist or Hindu?
@@ckobo84 I mean his past years that led him to feel the way he was in the first Rocky movie (i.e. this relationship with his sister, having an attitude that it’s other people’s fault for where he went in life).
He did that during the walk to the ring.
RIP Paulie! (Burt Young)
You are so beautuful, it's hard to concentrate on your reaction.
30:37 WIFE-BOT 2000!!
Next Reaction film IP Man 2 👍👍
10:51 "See, I fight so you don't _have_ to fight. 'Cause I want you to use your _head_ for somethin' instead of a _punchin'_ bag, like _I_ do."
And right here, we come to the reason I haven't _watched_ any more, beyond this one.
For the longest time, I held off on starting this franchise, because I thought it was primarily about boxing. Then I watched the first one and discovered that actually, it's a _love_ story in which one of the lovers happens to be a _boxer._
But in part 2, Rocky demonstrated his awareness that, while boxing had been _extraordinarily_ good to him, it had _taken_ things from him he knew he would never get _back;_ things he would probably rather have in _place_ of his accomplishment in boxing.
And here he is demonstrating that awareness _again_ by encouraging his son not to follow in his _footsteps._ The fact is, the average human being is _not_ adapted to sustain thousands of blows to the head in one night and no amount of training is going to _change_ that. Thus, boxers demonstrate a greater susceptibility to _brain_ damage.
So Rocky, appropriately, steers his son _away_ from the life of a professional fighter. His attitude is, "Don't make the mistakes I've made. You can do better."
So aside from its poorer performance at the box office, I have opted _not_ to watch _Rocky V,_ _Rocky Balboa,_ or any of the _Creed_ films.
24:08 "If he dies, he dies."
Case in point. 🤷♂
Just brain trauma got Apollo
41:32 what is the time frame for cold war? How much AFTER?
When did the Second World War ended and when was the the fall of the Berlin Wall / reunification of Germany?
Two dates that everyone should know, at the latest as soon as you are an adult and also relatively easy to remember because 45 + 45
You want believe this but it's true carl weathers AKA Apollo Creed has died on February 1 2024
That is so cool that your dad was a heavyweight can share any Picts or clips of him?
Rip paulie (died on october 8th)
22:43 Yeah, they intended it as an exhibition of Soviet superiority over the 'weak' Americans.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
40:45 -- Sure does look a lot like Gorbachev doesn't he?
42:39 -- We Soviets can be every bit as over the top patriotic as you Americans can!
i find it funny that they talk shit about ivan drago because of his steroids, when stallone and weathers are both juiced up themselfs^^
stallone had trouble in australia because of his steroids.
Apollo would not have died because like Victor Drago in Creed 2, Drago would have probably been disqualified for late punches at the end of the first round. Even if he was not, the referee would have probably stopped the fight at the end of the first round. As soon as the referee tried to stop the fight but was shoved aside, we would have had a disqualification and probably criminal charges unless Drago had diplomatic immunity. Creed's corner would have ran into the ring as soon as the referee was shoved aside and probably the security too. You can't blame Rocky for not throwing in the towel when the ref was being ignored. His blame would be for not stopping the fight in the corner.
Ivan Drago the best!!! 😊❤
25:55 "You call him a _killer."_
Well, I mean, he has _killed_ someone. And he has shown no _remorse_ for it. 🤷♂
The directors cut was better.
