"Progress, not perfection" and "Doubt kills" has stuck with me ever since I first watched this film. So many good sayings in this film.
I think it helps so much when a creative team takes their subject seriously. You can tell they did that with "The Equalizer." It's not hokey or jokey. They go with it in complete seriousness. Yes, it has light moments, and its unlikely moments, but they honor the subject by treating it as though it was real.
This is one of the things that usually sets a production apart from others. Like ... the original Star Trek. They treated the subject seriously, even though it was way, way out there.
Denzel is incredible
37:35 Robert told Teddy his childhood life letting him know that he knew everything about Teddy but Teddy knew nothing about Robert
If you like Denzel, you might want to watch "Deja Vu," which he stars in. It's an excellent time travel movie.
Robert is a "retired" CIA (or NSA) Agent specializing in "wet work" (Assasinations). His desire to help people using his skills comes in conflict with a promise he gave his late wife to quit that lifestyle. This movie came out the same year as John Wick.
I love Denzel's take on the character of Robert McCall! I used to watch the original 80's TV series on which it's based, and I can say without a doubt that his is the best version (including the current TV series). I can't wait for the third installment that is supposed to come out soon! Great reaction!
The 'measured response' thing, for both the original and for Denzel's version, is what I always loved. They would first approach the bad guys, politely offer some kind of deal, or just a simple chance to walk away untouched. Then, when said bad guys inevitably refused, the Equalizer walks away and then systematically takes them apart in every way imaginable.
At the bar when he apologized, it wasn't to the Russian, it was to his wife for breaking what he felt was a promise he made to her. Part 2 is a must, it'll give you a little more insight into Robert
In Robert's first fight scene against those Russians, the reason why he closed the door 3 times was to tell himself that he's doing the right thing that he's about to do.
And at the end when he said "im sorry,"
Hes saying sorry to his late wife because he promised her he wouldn't be that man that did that stuff anymore.
Fun fact: the big Russian henchman at the end fight scene was another Russian henchman in John wick 1 at the end of the club fight scene
Great flic, enjoyed the reactions,😊👍✌️🇺🇸
That scene when Denzel confronts the Russian in the restaurant and tells the story of the orphan, that scene looks like it belongs on the whiteboard of an English classroom. It reminds me of An Inspector Calls, a story where a character's real identity is open to interpretation.
The song that Denzel plays over the PA system is "Midnight Train to Georgia" by Gladys Knight & the Pips".
Thanks for reacting to this Reembok … made my day to see this
Always loved this movie, and the sequel.
The day you find out why in Mark Twain quote refers to your purpose in life. When you feel you know your purpose and are fulfilling it, you feel contentment and can work on honing your skills with full heart and soul, knowing it is what you were made for.
Denzel is really a great actor! One of my favorite movies of his is called John Q, hope you watch it sometime.
great job on this movie ,Rembok
When Robert locked the cop in his car the engine was running so he should've been able to put the window down himself.
Fun fact john wick and equalizer came out in the same year😮
Love this movie and the second one. Great reaction #newsub
Robert tells the boys at work that he was a "Pip" as in Gladys Knight & The Pips, the iconic Motown music group. When the Russians are holding the employees hostage at the Home Mart, the store's speakers start playing music, and it's Gladys Knight and The Pips. Everyone seems to miss that one. Great movie!
Good one!!!!
Denzel is an Exceptional Actor ain't No Doubt about it,glad you reacted to this. Here's a few of his films you'd wanna react to; "Ricochet"(1991)
"Training Day"(2001)
"John Q"(2002)
Equalizer 2 watch that too please
The book, you know 91, is Don Quixote.
YOU DONT PAY ATTENTION!! DENZEL MENTIONED THE KID TRYING TO BE A SECURITY GUARD WHEN THEY WERE EATING LUNCH!!
Darlin, you asked what Roberts prior job was ? Some of us retired Veterans know. Former Marine or Ranger most likely.eventully " Contractor or Auditor " there are various agencies under the DOD. You should Never underestimate what some Strangers did with their lives. Keep in mind,We move casual or even slowly by Choice. Our Training and Abilities We keep Forever. SFC.D.WILSON U.S Airborne Rangers / Cavalry-SPFOR ret. Stay Safe and live a full life. Gods Speed !
denzel in reading don quixote, the famous book
just found you channel, great reaction, i dont mind the talking asking questions over the movie, better than pauses, Good job
I don't like it when people do either..especially talking over the movies!! Cause they themselves don't hear what's being said then they miss key elements of a scene🙄
Reactions are edited and if you notice the sound is lowered when the creator speaks. It's not practical to sit and let the scene run and then talk or react, reactions happen simultaneously when the movie is running.
@@reembokreacts i think your doing great job, i look forward to watching your videos posted and new content, your my type of reactor, i do understand pauses have to be put in for copyright, but good job
Please, more Denzel Washington movies. The Book of Eli is superb
Love that movie. It's one of those movies that if you don't get it the first time, watching it the 2nd time after you get it just makes it sooooo much better.

Neighborhood diner. 7 days in a week, regular people, same faces, they see you. They become more than strangers. Regular. When people go missing.
People check on you when you what, Regular.🤨
I wouldn't be the one to tell you about Robert, because it would be based on Robert from the old TV series.
15:02 reaction.. into..amazed..-Ernie Moore Jr.
Denzel's character has OCD...that's why he's always arranging things and straightening things and studying things
❤

17:11 Ele está pedindo desculpas à sua falecida esposa....
Audio from the movie is not clear, kinda cloudy. Your audio is crystal clear. He is reading all hundred books.
Good movie but if I'm fighting for my life that window will be punched out
Congratulations on killing the mood of the final confrontation in the store by constantly YAKKING SO LOUDLY
Time for Rouge One star wars story
Bob is short for Robert Why I don't know what it is
You have to be in shape to observe and report?
Whoever used the Mark Twain quote didn't understand his sense of humor. You were born because your parents copulated.
Please react Indian Oscar winning film RRR 😊
Never feel bad about this kind of movie and badguys getting what they deserve human traffickers are the scum off the earth, they just happen to also do other activities these badguys.
The day you found out why you were born, mom and dad were horny.
He has a type of OCD. A lot of it wasn't symbolism. the excessive talking you miss a few things to be sure.
You love him, I love YOU! 💋😍💋
So u one who just comments the whole damn movie smh
Denzel-“When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too.”
