When Jordan faced Magic Johnson in the Finals, he wanted to beat Magic at his own game to prove his dominance over Magic. So what did he do? Jordan averaged 11.4 assists per game in the 1991 Finals. Yes, you read that right and you can look it up. 11.4 apg….it remains the highest assists per game in the Finals after only one man: Magic. And Jordan is only 1 of 4 people that has averaged over 10 apg in a finals series. And LeBron isn’t one of them.

Same with his 3 ball.. Media/peers saying he was a bad 3point shooter so as you say, what'd MJ do? Set a playoff record for 3pointers made in a single half at the time.. Media said Jordan couldn't win😐 Now his name is synonymous with winning etc etc.. His entire career was just knocking down That's why although some numbers may suggest others were better at certain facets of basketball MJ one up'd and was winning too..

The greatest loser of all-time would be a player that never made the playoffs. If you're going to troll, make sure you do a great job at it. There was never a single Finals where Jordan had less Hall of Fame talent (in terms of players, coaches, and executives) than the opposition did. It's 2023 and we're still talking about finals records? At this point in LeBron's career, LeBron has a better case for being the GOAT than Jordan when removing playoff success from the debate. LeBron already lapped the field in stats and lapped the field in accolades. The official site of the league has the player profiles of both players and it shows that LeBron has more physical and non-physical honors than Jordan. Physical means that you can actually hold it and place it into a trophy case.
Swap Jordan in for LeBron on those Cavs teams and I guarantee you that they don't make the finals anywhere close to 10 times. Swap Larry Bird in for LeBron and the Cavs would make the finals more times than if it was Jordan who was swapped in for LeBron. Magic Johnson would've also taken those Cavs teams further than Jordan would've. Simply said because Jordan wasn't a team-first player. He was a me-first/shoot-first player while Magic, Bird, and LeBron were multi-dimensional players who looked to make their teammates better.
There was a time when Jordan in the pre-pippen era had:
-Oakley who was the league leader in total rebounds in the '87 season (not to be confused with rpg) while giving the team 14PPG
-Woodridge who averaged 20+PPG in 2 consecutive seasons on 52% scoring COMBINED in '85 and '86
-Paxson who shot 43% from 3 point range in both the '86 and '87 playoffs COMBINED
-Corzine who shot 60% from the field and 90% from the FT line in the '85 & '86 playoffs COMBINED while also averaging 10PPG
-Macy who was borderline a 50/40/80 club Point Guard thru 75+ games in the '86 season
... Yet Jordan didn't captain those teams to 50 wins and past the first round. You swap LeBron (or even Magic, Larry, and a prime Pippen) individually in for Jordan and the Bulls would've been even more successful. People need to stop treating Jordan like a Special Olympian like we're been doing with Curry these past few years.

I know I’m bias because I’m grew up in the 90’s. But did the talent really get that much better or did the rules change to favor the talented athletes. They changed the rules and for the average NBA player that’s fine but for great players they will take advantage of those changes AKA James. He doesn’t take the physical abuse that MJ took on which is why he can play damn near 20 seasons. Imagine if you can’t hand check MJ, foul him hard when he drove to the hole. This argument that he can’t shoot 3’s is so lame because look at Giannis dominating and he doesn’t shoot 3’s. Imagine a mid range assassin in this era who’s also athletically one of the best and the desire to win like no other. It be game over

Draymond has surprisingly high Bronsexual levels.. very dissappointing because I feel he is greatly underrated as a player. Anyway we need to nip this in the butt about Lebron being better because of "stats" ...
Both Harden and Westbrook at the end of their careers will have overall better accumulated stats than MJ and Kobe.. they will not be better than either by the time their career is done...
Speaking of MJ and Kobe as playmakers: MJ averaged 32.5 8 and 8 and 2.9 steals in 88-89 and 32 11.4 and 6.6 in the 91 finals.. In 13 Kobe averaged 27 8 and 8 until he hurt his ankle to will the lakers to a playoff birth after a horrible first half of the season..
    - Both MJ and Kobe and do what Lebron can do stylistically, and in some cases do it better..

Im sorry, but that is the exact opposite of longevity, if you rest nearly half the games each season, then of course you'll be able to play longer, but that is not the same as longevity. John Stockton is easily the goat of longevity. The man played 19 seasons, and played all 82 games a record 16 TIMES! MJ played 9 full seasons out of 13. So, how is LeBron the most durable player when he misses 20% of his games?

1-Greatest concentration of hall of famers.
2-Highest ranked NBA finals ever in 98.
3-Era with the greatest number of record holders.
4-Greatest concentration of best defensive players at all posts.
5-Era with Peak TV audience for the NBA, which would indicate the game was more engaging/entertaining.
I'd say the 2010's to now has the greatest concentration of sharp shooters at all posts, which is impressive but the evidence doesn't prove it's the best era.

That's like 80% of his baskets. Travel and dunk on an unprotected protected rim.
If you look up LeBron's shooting % outside of 3 feet, not outside the 3pt line, outside of 3 feet from the basket, you'll realize almost everyone regularly playing ball at the nearby gym or park shoots better than him. The difference is they aren't 6'8" and overhyped by sports media.

I love these ppl who say "MJ never beat the greatest team ever"...Jordan didn't have to beat the juggernaut because his team WAS the juggernaut and he was the BIGGEST reason why they were the juggernaut. Even when Jordan got old he still held on to deny younger players for a few more years. Now I do believe Ultimately had the Bulls not broken up after 98 and stayed together I do think they would have been beaten by the Lakers or the Spurs as those teams were younger and hungrier. The Bulls were so worn out after the 6th title I don't think they could have stopped one of those 2 younger teams in the finals. But the fact that Jordan was still winning titles at 34/35 years of age, especially back then before all the advances of today that extend careers that a guy like Lebron benefits from, was very impressive. 34 and 35 we're ancient back then and you didn't see too many players still dominating at that point.

Jordan is the GOAT period..he accomplished more in a shorter career than LeBron..more MVPs in the regular season and playoffs, more Championships 6, more Scoring Titles 10, more 50+ point games 31 in the regular season and 8 more in the playoffs..higher winning percentage in the regular season and playoffs, highest PER ever, highest Win Shares Ever...as for Draymond Green isn't he the same guy to beg KD on the phone crying like a B.. to come to the Warriors?( And then run him off a few seasons later) Dennis Rodman would eat that fool alive..that is all

I don’t believe Lebron is the 2nd best player of all time. He may be the most abled player of all time. But you can’t mold your game off of Lebron as a young kid learning basketball. However, there is not 1 player in the league or just playing the game, who doesn’t have MJ DNA in their game. You can argue that Iverson is the only player to have generational impact on hoopers similar to Jordan. Now you see that same impact in Curry. But unless you’re the BIGGEST and strongest on the court, you ain’t playing like Lebron.

Green brings up the fact that lebron went to 9 straight NBA Finals... but fails to bring up the fact that lebron handpicked his HOF Superstar teammates AND he played in the east when it was rightfully called the "LEASTern Conference"! So of course he was going to go the Finals every year. But even with his own chosen Super teams, when he finally got real competition from the team from West... he LOST more times than he won!! lol!!
Compare that to Jordan when he was in the East! Back then the East was the Dominate Conference! Jordan with no help had to go up against teams like the 1986 Celtics and the Bad Boy Pistons in the 80's!! When did Lebron EVER have to go up against teams like that in the Leastern conference, AND with no help!?? Then in the 90's, the East was still the Powerhouse, so a couple of times the Bulls biggest competition was from those East Teams in the Playoffs. In the Finals, Jordan never had to go 7 games.... in the East he did. Let's see how many of you remember the Team? Teams like that don't get the credit they deserve.
Bottom line is, Jordan didn't have a Cakewalk to the Finals like lebron did.

Lebron James is mount rushmore. I would also personally make him the GOAT in longevity.
But the fact remains that he had to create 3 superteams to win 3 championships plus a mickey mouse championship. And above all, he lost to the Dallas team while playing for a Miami superteam.
It took roughly the same amount of years for both MJ and Lebron to win their 1st NBA championship. Difference was that when that happened, nobody ate during MJ's reign, whereas others ate plenty of championships during Lebron's reign.
Until proven otherwise, you had a handful of hall of famers on Detroit - IN THEIR PRIMES - that had to create "Jordan Rules" to stop that one man. MJ will forever be at the top of the pyramid.
