A good behavior analyst would get a “normal” baseline of someone’s body movements before reading their body language in a particular situation. It doesn’t mean anything if someone looks to the left or moves around or whatever unless it’s not their normal demeanor. Generalities are a no-no if you really want to get a true read on someone. I remember all the old channels that used to try to seem like experts but really weren’t before TH-cam became a mainstream place for everyone to get their news & entertainment. There are now some really good channels that are worth watching & they constantly try to educate people about the reality of their craft. They always stress that body analysis is not an exact science.

Like if you fidgit a lot, that's a baseline for you. Same with people who have weird speech patterns, unusual gestures, etc. All about patterns ! Now, people who did not extensively study nonverbal body language, may come to the conclusion you're nervous or hiding something. To make that judgement you often have to see the person in several settings over time

Many Body language analysts doesnt know the most important things. The only universal thing in body language is that there is no universal tell. You have to study baseline for hours and the watch something that might be deceitful. It is very important to learn that one individuals baseline. People are different. A good body langugage analyst is OBSERVE
also just on the body analysis thing, there are a lot of really good people on youtube who do videos on this, and they will take into consideration a persons normal body language compared to in relations to the video or problem at hand. if they don’t and they just throw shit out there and say it’s 100% accurate, then they aren’t good of course…. but yk usually they take it into consideration and have an intro speaking on all of it
