I've used this before by insignia on my Xbox One S. The adhesive is new. Did not have any adhesive for the last gen consoles. Solid charger and always kept me with fresh battery packs while playing. That slider lip part is new too. Insignia overthought this compared to last gen.
Great video! And now about the charging stations so let me guess while your in a game you have to go through all that hassel just to get a full charge battery and hope that it's fully charged! And yes I wouldn't be putting anything on the side of my xbox series S especially how it looks.. And its crazy how your talking about this so my charging station I have is I believe Power A if I'm correct it was only for my xbox one s and yes its more old school because you have to put the whole controller on the station an shows either a orange or white light ,but come to find out the same chargeable batteries can be used on my newer controller with the series S so I'm going to ride this out for as long as I can. But yeah keep up the great work dude .. And I can only imagine how many other things Xbox is going to come out with .. And ive been still meaning to goto five below for those controller covers..👍

Just gou this today as a controller dock requires you to dock your controller. I don't want to switch from my preferred controller so it can charge. My power a charge kit is not charge and play. So, it doesn't charge when power cable is plugged in.
The instructions on this one say the diagonals face the securing tabs. That's backwards!
Maybe the dock of four is better since it's standalone. We'll see how this goes.

Question, does the play and charge kit charge the controller if I have my Xbox off (its in instant on mode to run updates so its more like my Xbox is asleep)
To be honest, I no longer use the play and charge kits since I got these batteries. The feature was there in the past. I don't think they'd remove, but like I said I haven't used one in a long time and things can change.
How long do the batteries last on a full charge?
Just got one and i got it on without too much work. I agree on the adhesive though. Not putting that on the Xbox.

I just got this charging dock today. And I had the same problem with that slider part on the bottom. The design is so stupid in my opinion. I did pull the adhesive cover off but I have the plain Series X. Other than that it seems to get the job done. Pretty cheap, but there’s not many alternatives. Thanks for the video!
Sadly, there are only alternatives if you want to swap out the back on the controller. This seems to be the most convenient at the moment.
@@RedBandanaGaming I didn’t get the separate charging dock that the controllers rest on because I didn’t want that sitting somewhere taking up space. I have that for my X1S, but I also have one for my PS4 and Switch too for my Pro Controller, so having a bunch of docks lying around is a pain. This seemed like a cool alternative but definitely has a very poor design.

You can just get a Xbox battery and use a c type cable to charge it. That’s what I do. Don’t have to keep opening controller and I plug it in when I’m not playing, and I don’t over charge it. Just leave the cable on the box of the Xbox usb

I bought the series S charger. My batteries don’t lock into place and won’t charge.
Flip them around.

I’m having the same issue. Diagonal pattern on the front just as instructed. LEDs are flashing orange.
How has this held up?

Thanks. I appreciate that. I ended up connecting it to my regular Series X. I still didn't use the clip though. That thing is just too sketchy and no way did I use the sticker.
