It's not about Meiteis being the valley based seeking for ST , it's all about kukis trying to set up an independent kuki nation with parts from India , Bangladesh and the kuki chin states of Burma..It's a very clear motive as the clashes had been on for almost a year.. Meiteis being a tribal by origin deferred from ST list till now demands for its rightful status and what could be reason for objection to that...But then it's not the main issue for the crisis, there are many other factors too... Inorder to bring peace, the central government should carry out NRC at the earliest so as to curved the foreign influence in this clash.. Once the NRC is implemented and foreigners being driven out then the indigenous tribes can be brought to the table for a peaceful resolution.
