How To Fix A Squeaking Treadmill

  • My treadmill was squeaking and creaking annoyingly with each step. Sort of a chirp noise. I show how to lubricate a treadmill to get rid of the squeak. This treadmill is a Sole F85. Your treadmill may be different, but the concepts are the same. It's not a difficult repair.

Dude, I won't say you are a genius, but you have free beer anytime in Ozark, MO. Just look me up, my treadmill was driving me crazy, but when I watched the first part of your video it sounded EXACTLY the same as mine. Took 10 minutes and lubricated every joint on mine and it runs QUIET. THANK YOU!

You are a genius. I thought the horrible noise my NordicTrack was making meant it was dying. You saved me from having to buy a new treadmill. Thank you!! (Now, if you could stop by and show me where these two extra screws might go, that would be awesome. ;) )

Interestingly, my F80 started squeaking right after I lubricated the track/belt with approved silicone-based lubricant. In addition to that, it's a bit squeaky when it is folded up and down. The previous owner ran some grease on the square arm of the folding work. Perhaps it was squeaking before and that was a repair attempt. I'll report back on whether it fixed my squeak, but I have a good feeling about it. Handy video. Thanks for producing and posting. Cheers.

Hi There, Please can you help? My treadmill is making a very strange noise. It sounds a little like something rubbing against a plastic comb. I have checked so many different TH-cam videos for solving noise from a treadmill, but none have been relevant. My treadmill is not squeaking or banging or anything that comes up in the vast majority of the videos I have watched, the most similar noise I can find is this video.... th-cam.com/video/r3eKa7KDc1M/w-d-xo.html ....this is the closest I can find to the noise I have, but this video does not show how to fix it. My machine is a very old Horizon machine and the noise is only made when it is being stepped on over 2.5mph. The noise comes with every step made. After taking the cover off it, it very much sounds like it is coming from the left of the motor just where it attaches to the belt. We lubricated moving parts cleaned out the dust and bits and spend AGES with our ears close to the motor to figure out where the noise is coming from. It is so loud I can hear it over my earphones when I'm trying to listen to music.
