Thanks for the vid, but you should also make mention that the car will need alignment or tell your viewers to mark the bolt when removing so that when its time to reassembly there is a base reference for alignment until they can go get proper alignment. but still a good vid
With these springs did you end up having to adjust camber up front? If so do the RCE Yellows come with the necessary tools to adjust camber or is that something that needs to be purchased separately?
Hi Subi I'm from Australia, love your products and channel. Just wanting to know can we purchase these item from you guys? Also are led lighting n wiring deferent or the same? Some products in the states, such as wiring aren't normally the same and Australia don't sell a lot of mod atm as I have a STI cheers.
blakeemartin89 Shoot us an email at sales@subispeed.com with any questions you have about the products. We can certainly get some products out there to you :)
Which set of springs would be just a slight drop to get rid of a bit of wheel gap BUT keep the suspension within normal alignment spec?...ie - no need for adjustable control arms or camber kit.
Debating between these and swifts, but would like to know if you can recommend any after market struts that will pair nicely with either of these springs. Thanks!
Hello Subispeed. I wanna ask you a question about riding height after rce yellow installation. I know the fact that front vs rear has different height. But what I also noticed was that both front and rear passenger side had 1/8 inch higher riding height than front and rear driver side. Is this normal?
With these RCE springs, is anyone running into scraping issues? I've got a steep driveway and don't really want to buy these if it means constantly having to angle in and out everywhere I go.
Adam Elghor The ISC N1 really is not comparable to the HKS system. HKS uses way better components and engineering. Hard to dive into on youtube, but those two systems should not really be compared back to back with almost 1000 dollars separating them.

shut the fuck up
These lowering springs looks fantastic! Into the wish list they go.

So yea put both top hat pieces from the stock spring onto the new spring you won’t get spring bind build it like it was the stocks hock
Thanks for the video just wish it was a little more detailed, especially about installing the bump stops.
Bump stops should just slide onto the strut and replace the stock ones in the same factory position.
I'm pretty sure that was less than 22mm, unless it settles more than your pictures.
Hey subispeed, just curious as to what specs the wheels and tires are on your blue 15 WRX.
What wheels were on the car in the video?

How's the ride comfort relative to stock and also compared to eibach's? Another great vid. Thx guys
What are the torque specs?
Which set of springs would be just a slight drop to get rid of a bit of wheel gap BUT keep the suspension within normal alignment spec?...ie - no need for adjustable control arms or camber kit.
Now can I have 255/35/18 tires on with these springs?
Debating between these and swifts, but would like to know if you can recommend any after market struts that will pair nicely with either of these springs. Thanks!

Wasn't there an Allen key and a pass through wrench required for the rear top hat?
Did you get to drive on this setup? Any idea if its smoother than stock?
I have tein Street basis coilovers and my question is how do I tighten the nut without the shaft spinning?
Is it true lowering springs are rough on factory struts?
These springs are designed to work with the factory dampeners. Most springs are not designed this way and can be rough on the factory struts.
When installing thee rce yellows do you really need camber arms ?
Any Idea If this Is the same way to Install for 11-14 WRX's ?
Did you guys do an alignment after installing these new shocks? Or did you just mark the factory position on the camber bolt?
Beetfarmer89 no you must get an alignment
Ya get alignment u will regret it if u don’t. It will wear out your tires badly improperly too
Hi Subispeed, i understand this is for ride hide reduction which is great, but are these springs also stiffer for better cornering?
These springs are actually geared towards better performance so yes. The lowering is just an added bonus ;)
I find it odd you are installing RCE springs when there is an R*S*R (well known for springs) sign on the wall behind you! :)
Will this set up rub with 18x9.5 +38 rim on 265 35 18 tire? Does anyone know?
Question!
Do you need camber control arms? I installed some H&Rs but I hear major clanking sounds from the rear.. alignment done. Still hearing it
U find out what it was that u needed?
Its all about the U!
what's a good brand spring compressor?
can you send a link to the white line and the rear control arms, please!
www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/suspension/camber-caster-adjustment/whiteline-adjustable-lower-control-arms-rear-2015-wrx-2015-sti-2013-ft86#.V7y5Y_krKrw
when drop on spring do u have to put camber kit on it too?
nop
Is wheel alignment necessary for this type of install?
Anytime you install suspension parts it's usually best to get an alignment, and in this case an alignment is a definite must.
What tires are on those wheels
Great video and good job making it look easy. Please use safety glasses next time while working with struts and springs.
With these RCE springs, is anyone running into scraping issues? I've got a steep driveway and don't really want to buy these if it means constantly having to angle in and out everywhere I go.
no issue man
+xxxREVOLVERxxx I wonder if I get a bigger tire like a 255 instead of the stock 245 u think it'll rub?
+kris salcedo even 265 it won't rub
+kris salcedo it drops only 0.8 inch. you are safe.
xxxREVOLVERxxx 265 do rub on te37's with specs 18x10 +39
What happened to the HKS setup you guys had on?
We will still be running the HKS setup. This was just a reference for anyone that wanted to do an install of this nature. :)
SubiSpeed How do the ISC N1 coilovers compare to the HKS coilovers you are running?
Adam Elghor The ISC N1 really is not comparable to the HKS system. HKS uses way better components and engineering. Hard to dive into on youtube, but those two systems should not really be compared back to back with almost 1000 dollars separating them.
Okay sounds good. It had me worried because i just bought a set of the HKS coilovers and i thought something went wrong..
What size wheels and tires are you rocking on this car?
265/35/18
those are Wedsports SA-10R
18x9.5 +38
Do you need aftermarket LCA's to do this?
They are not required but recommended so that you can adjust the rear camber.
SubiSpeed Okay thank you very much!
Will there be zero rear camber adjustment without lower LCAs? Or can there be a small room of adjustment
why not just get coilover or adjustable one.
Well springs and coilovers are in two totally different price ranges.
What rims are those?
What song is this?
I love what u do guys... keep going :)
can this be use with oem control arms?
+DJ12Ema You won't be able to adjust camber without aftermarket control arms in the rear.
what wheels you have there? 18X8?
Adil Baig and do you have wheel spacers too?
those are Wedsports SA-10R 18x9.5 +38.
+Adil Baig those specs poke wheels outward just a bit.
What size tires are this?
Look at the damn comments on any of the videos with this car in it and you will see the answer as 100 people ask the same stupid thing on each video.
@J Something I'm asking for the tire size not the rim size! Do you know the diameter size of the tire wall?
265/35/18
Why are all lowering springs on subaru are not even, the back is lowered than the front :(
That's usually not the case. These springs actually have a nice even drop all around as most do.
Fair enough...but show me a 2004 wrx or sti w/ these springs at even drop.
those calipers tho
If I put these on my sti, would the car be bouncy?
b864r no
SubiSpeed alright thanks
SubiSpeed are the life of the shocks shorten after installing the springs?
Not working on phone... :(
those bolts are lose as hell if u can unbolt them with that puny electric electric screwdriver
+Alex G They were certainly not loose and what we're using is an impact gun that works perfect for these jobs.
+SubiSpeed
Nice to know
Thanks! 😀
+SubiSpeed what impact gun is that? What adaptor are you using on that impact gun?
so much little difference
