    It's not a hybrid, that's why I like it.

It seems US buyers are very much against saving money on gas.

@@PRNTestDrive I'm retired, in my case it's minimal, I put on maybe 5K miles a year.

Some of your comments don’t really make sense - it’s the most powerful van in the segment with by far the best passing acceleration times as well, yet you are crapping on the power saying it would be sluggish loaded - false. 30mpg on the highway is barely less than the Sienna which is how many people primarily drive their minivans. The handling and ergonomics are far better than the other vans. The Kia has huge issues including parasitic power loss bricking on the 2025s. Toyota is smaller and not available, and lacks good seating in the second row bench etc which is what people buy minivans for - that’s why Odyssey is the best selling van to retail customers in the US. Toyota centre seat is only available in base trim and is a joke. Interior quality is best in class but the design of it is not showy, Kia takes the cake on that. You calling it fisher price makes absolutely no sense. The doors and seats and materials are better than all the others. Also calling it expensive when RAV4s and CRVs cost over $50k now is just talking about the crappy reality of the Canadian auto market.

There's no doubt that the car market here in Canada is getting ridiculous, prices are soaring. I was underwhelmed with the Odyssey, but acknowledge that its a top seller and people seem to like it. There's no doubt though that sales have decreased year over year for quite some time though, so Honda may not continue offering it down the road. I still think the base model is a better option to go with.

Honda got rid of the VALUE trims. Just cloth seats, electric side doors & a sunroof. Just a few years ago (2020+) when they were selling in the mid forty thousand dollar market CAD. Might be a good idea to pick up a used one after a lease is up. Depending on price. Infotainment is old when kids use iPads, MacBook Air Pro’s etc.. No need for it. Only get a ten speed automatic if buying used, 2020+ or, a Touring that only came with a ten speed transmission. I’ve seen so many of them when travelling in USA.

We spotted plenty during our week with this one also.

I love minivans, but they cheaped out the sienna, the odyssey imo is a win, if you can get past the swoopy window thing or the push button transmission stuff.. I can probably look past the push button transmission, but that window swoop has been there for 16 years and i still cant get past it..

Perhaps that’s why it’s still so popular, despite (IMO) lagging behind in terms of features and tech.

    This or the Sienna?

I did answer that in the video, twice I believe. The Sienna is a better buy if you're looking to spend $60k. You can get AWD and Hybrid with the same features and more. Wait times are the issue, as many report a 2 year waiting list to get a new one.
