GB3 is essentially a Build Fighters fan dream game come true. There are countless numbers of HG and MG kits available to use, as well as new ways to make customizing your Gunpla even more fun. This game definitely earns a thumbs up from me, so go ahead and pick this game up if you're a fan of Gunpla. Adam Stanley no point? How about these points. 1. Money 2. Fans would enjoy it. 3. Open world does not have to suck. 4. Would give them a reason to have a non shitty story ( all gundam breaker stories are just the worst )
Xenoblade chronicles or Xenoblade X where you basically get to pilot a Gundam.
It seems like bigger TH-camrs such as The Sw1tcher and Giant Bomb have decided to play Breaker 3, more publicity is pretty sweet.
You're right once I order my copy and play it a couple of times I going to review it to help with the publicity hopefully that'll make the heads of Bandai-Namco realize that there are Gundam fans in the west who'll play and buy Gundam video games that way a potential Gundam Breaker 4 and other Gundam video games can be localized and brought over to the west.

i like how this game is a love child of gunpla builders beginning G and gundam build fighters Try but somehow a bit more serious than some tournament shit...(the tournament theme is still there but there is something more at stake than just winning)
Basically it's like games like the Custom Robo series and anime like LBX: Little Battlers eXperience basically tournament-esque sport involving miniature combat mecha and for the most part the main plot is winning the national Championship or some other major tournament but you've also got a much more serious sub-plot that introduces much higher stakes then a national Championship or a major Championship that is at points better and more exciting then the main plot about the tournament.
Derrick Haggard Yes i watched and played(every season and LBX for the 3ds in english) LBX or danball senki series... I know how serious the anime despite being a toy robot battles...
Yeah I mean early on in the first season the main team has to stop what basically an assassination plot against a major figure so yeah LBX aka Danball Senki basically lets fans know early on there is a serious mature subplot going on alongside the typical win the National Championship plot.
That review makes me feel like replaying this game sometime! I got the Asian version which I've played a ton with friends, could be fun to return to it at some point, for a different experience compared to Versus.

It is good to hear that the save transfers between the Japanese and Asian copies. Outside of following the generic story between Breaker 2 and 3, I have no idea what anybody is saying or reading the parts and abilities of the Gunpla.
Hmm, how well/fun is the combat part of the game? I'm new to the Breaker series but I am a big mecha/Gundam fan, played to death a few of the Gundam games on the old PS2 when I was a kid.
Is a really good game, fun, virtually endless possibility in customization and not bog down by mission, although boss battle or other boss gunpla I generally just use nuclear bazooka from Stardust Memory with increase bazooka damage simply because one launch and your free to fire other weapons while not missing the target as it has god tier AOE and can follow up with a combo.
I came in late to the party and was very impressed by how they manage to build a truly fun game.

Hello Team fox, i was wondering about the difficulty of the game since there is no PvP in it, how hard is the game, im not saying how hard you can make the game by not upgrading equipment etc. Im saying how smart is the AI and is there difficulty settings..
Have you guys seen the gb3 website? Its got a new dlc update with a new story and other updates to come are barbatos form 6, kimaris, Age FX and ball unit. Now i'm pretty much tempted to buy the game.

+Nizz LaRock Yes there are multiple melee and ranged weapons to spice up combos, and you can cancel by sidestepping with R1+ any direction

Do I have to have PS Plus to play the game? I honestly don't care about playing online so I hope Plus is not required in order to simply play the game.
Nice review :) I'm from the UK and I'm growing more tempted to buy this game and I do have a PSN+ account to play online with my current games. I was just wondering, will I need a different PSN+ account to play online with this game or does that only apply to buying DLC? I did search online for an answer but all I found were people asking the same question.
You should be able to play online with the same account as long as you have ps+ for that account. You'll should also be able to get the dlc from the same account given that the dlc in available in your regions psn store. If it isn't in the store then you can make a Japanese account and get the dlc from the Japanese store, this won't require you to make a ps+ plus for the Japanese account.

I've been playing the Asian English release for a week now, and the part where you said about the importance of upgrading is definitely true, especially once you hit the end of ch.3/early ch.4 if you are playing through hardcore on your first run.

I heard you need a Singapore PSN to install the DLC's for this game. I'm kinda confused by this, how exactly would I go about doing that if I live in the U.S. Will I need to pay for a new PSN account and could I go back to playing on my U.S Psn after I install the DLC or will it only be on the Singapore PSN? Lastly, would it be worth the trouble?
+Lag Spike I believe you can just install the dlc using a HK PSN Account (which is in english when you make it, and the DLC is also saved on the system) and then go back on w/e account you want. You should just play on a HK account when you play GB3 to avoid trouble tbh
confirmed. all R3 - English. bandai namco games NEED Singapore PSN to redeem DLCs. just make a new user on your PS4 with Singapore PSN. log-into the said new user with SG PSN redeem the code and download DLCs. it should be usable now on ALL PSN accounts in your PS4 regardless of region.
a few pointers:
Your PS4 has to be activated as your main console for you to share DLC on it.
On the console, go to Settings -> PSN -> Activate as your Primary PS4.

I think I'll get this game, though I'm very dissapointed SD Gundams aren't playable, it would have made the game a lot more fun.
Im just gonna say as someone who is gunpla build rank 200. Newtype mode is really easy as in its really easy to make a gunpla that is absolutely broken OP.

Hi, i would like to ask a couple of questions, as im very interested in buying this game but there are some things that i need to be cleared:
1- How does the battle system compare to EVsFB for example in terms of action, speed and mechanics
2- I didnt understand the "multiplayer" part of the game, can i play with a friend locally on the ps4 or vita, i ask this because in the game description it says from 1 to 4 players?

+MMoshaya19 Similar gameplay aspects that you can take from FB is how the camera is locked onto an enemy and changes based on both of your positions, as well as you simply boosting by using x. square is a regular melee attack, triangle. is a stronger melee attack and can also be (charged depending on the melee weapon) by holding triangle. You use the option equipment palette to use weapons that come from your actual parts. R2 is a ranged attack and can also be charged up if your weapon allows it do so by holding R2. There are EX Skills that can be used by holding r1 and pressing either square, triangle, circle, or x depending on whatever you assign there. There's also an awakening bar that fills up (pretty much identical to the burst meter in FB) and you can use a burst attack (which is basically a super attack) before the awakening gauge runs out. The combat is pretty smooth and feels very natural, it only drops in frames if a lot of nukes are fired onto the screen from my experience.
You can go to the multiplayer booth at the main hub in between missions and either search for a party or host one yourself. You need a PS+ membership to play with up 3 other players. As for local multiplayer, I don't believe you can.

I'm here because I like Diablo and heavy customization / loot in games, but I have no fuckin' idea what Gundam is, i.e. the universe, the previous games, nothing. Should I investigate further? The english subs version is out on play-asia and I'm tempted but each review I watch speaks to people who know the game's past.

It isn't sold in the west. But it's playable o. Western systems.
There are two ways to get it...
1: make a new PSN account, set your country to Singapore and buy it off the Asian PSN store.
2: buy a Singaporean ( or any Asian country with English language) disk off the Internet and your US Playstation will still play it

i own this game but the game started to be boring as fuck now plus gundam breaker 3 is the same game as 2 breaker games.
i own 1 and 3 but also i really hate build fighters soo badly i wish bandai never created this mistaken series also the reason why i own gundam breaker 1 bc i was new to gundams
What the Breaker series needs is pvp online. Let’s hope Breaker 4 makes its way to the west and with full online modes!
