Hello Mr. John, I made my own review of all the channels of air guns that I subscribe, more than 50, image, sound, information, honesty, conclusion, AIRGUN DETECTIVES, number 1, when I see new video notifications, and a joy ,much health.
Luis...how are you? I really appreciate the support! Viewers like you are the reason I continue to do this! I noticed the rifles get the most attention but I am still going to do the pistols. I try to rotate every week for something different. God bless and have a great 4th of July weekend!
To be honest yes Luis i agree they are up near the top. Companies haven't gotten ahold them them yet to write checks to them. Steve S. And these guys i would say are the best. They have got to the pockets of Steve BUT he is still pretty much tell it how it is and his production level and review method is world class. Im not in to budget guns and deff not in to budget break barrels. We shoot mainly PCP and we are spoiled shooting the best money has to offer. We do shoot springers but they are the likes of TX200s, Pro Sports, HW97KTs, HW30 and a detuned sub 12 HW30 and a R1. We dont own any budget springers but again do have a soft spot for world class springers.
@@EDCandLace I do have several of the higher-end break barrel and underlever s I will feature in the future including the TX200, HW98, Ntec 350, 48, LGU to name a few. My goal was to provide a review on an airgun at every price level. Regardless of economic status there is something out there that everyone can afford. This is a hobby/sport that should be open to all. I never got into this to make a living. Fortunately, a 30 years LE career provides me with a nice living pension. So this is a hobby, so one thing the viewer will always get is my unbiased opinion. I have shared that with many representatives and nothing will deviate my opinion. I am happy to review almost any model, but I will not hesitate to point out the weaknesses. I will always provide my opinion but it is the consumer that has the ultimate choice. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comments. I hope you and your family have a fantastic 4th of July 🇺🇸👍
You've got a nick in your piston seal and air is getting by the seal. I have two IGT Gamos and they both make around 17 ft-lbs of energy in .22. I've had to return three Gamos to PA because they only made 12-15 ft'lbs. When you get a Gamo that's not defective it's a good gun. That's about 40-50% of the time in my experience. You seem to only get 25% lemons. Good for you and good honest review.
I think you are right, I was getting 19 FPE out of my Swarm Maxxim, basically the same rifle. The tough thing too, it is not that easy to find parts for the Gamo rifles. I may have to tune this one when I have time. I appreciate you watching and thanks for leaving the comments. Have a great 4th of July!!!
Honestly I left confidence in gamo just because of theses issues. And went for Artemis 16. You might get claim. But in my country. It is what. No warranty no claim.
You said it Henry! This virus thing had the gyms closed until a couple of weeks ago and now the lousy Governor is threatening to close the gyms again! So frustrating! Have a great 4th!!
Great video. I have 3 Gamos and i felt the same frustration with my Hunter Extreme .177 . It would not sight in with the included scope a 3x9x50mm.Installed a Leapers 4x16x50mm scope using the same 1 piece mount and still holds point of aim since 2009. From then on the first thing i do is replace the original scope right off the bat.I also replaced the trigger with a charlie the tuna unit.
That's a nice set-up. Yes, I usually change out the scopes several times to see if it is the rifle or the scope. I got lucky with the accuracy of the replacement rifle. Have a great 4th!
I'm glad you went through with the full review even though you had some problems that's really great to know about their customer service you hit the ball out of the park with this one great job and I'm loving the gun
Great review. I had the same issue with one of my swarm fox rifles as far as accuracy goes. Called Gamo and they said it would be at least 3 weeks before they could look at the rifle and pinpoint the problem. Decided that was too long of a wait. Luckily I smith all my guns on my own. So I replaced the piston seal and put in one with a full face seal from custom air seals and replaced the o-ring on the breach seal and swapped the spring for a gas piston and BOOM!!!!! What a shooter she is now!!! I'm dead on at 50 yards, dime sized groups with cheap crosman premier and destroyer hollowpoints, RWS hollows, and JSB Hades pellets. Next to try are slugs. I also got 2 of those BSA outlook scopes both in the 4x12 model. One for my swarm magnum gen 2 and one for my swarm fox both in .22 caliber. Both scopes are GREAT!!! Thanks for turning me on to these scopes. Next gamo you should review is the swarm fox. Great little rifle.
Hey Will, sounds like some great upgrades. I have a gas piston and a new seals for an ACCU underlever I own. I just have not had one free moment to upgrade that. The Gamo parts are so difficult to find. I purchased my parts from CAS as well. Have a great 4th!!
@@AirgunDetectives Go to John Knibbs international LTD. They have plenty of spare Gamo parts and all are original OEM parts. I get my parts from there. You have a great 4th as well!
It is very difficult to condense valuable information. Too many important things you should know before investing in a specific airgun. I like to be detailed but also entertaining. I appreciate you watching 👍
@@AirgunDetectives I totally understand. A lot of other reviews are short because they really don’t share much information. You talked all about your break in period, ammo, and elaborated on your issues and eventual triumph with Gamo customer service. Lots of great info!
Another great review. I prefer the original targets above the splatters. They make seeing an accurate group very difficult with the splatter around the hole. When you get a tight group, all you see is the splatter. With the originals, you see the actual hole of each pellet. Thanks again!
I just placed an order for mine!! Can't wait to receive it! I do have a Umarex Syrix .177 cal already, after I seen a few reviews on this.. I had to get this model for small game hunting. Awesome video..keep up the good work! I'm a new subscriber. #AlaskanFan🥶🌍
I've had the same issue with a few gamo air rifles I bought in the past. I ended up returning all of them except the gamo swarm maxxim in .22. Go with Hatsan. Their break barrel designs ensure that they don't lose accuracy over time with things getting loose, excessive lube in the chamber from manufacturing, etc. They are priced right and built like tanks.
Thanks John I really appreciate the video. I’ve been looking for a decent review of this gun. I’m debating between the Bone collector and the whisper fusion. Thanks again for the great videos.
I have the same gun. I have been lucky. It shoots very well. But what you said about the scope moving back past the seem is true. Mine did the same thing. I will move the pin to the front. Thanks for the tip.
I have had the same problem with quality control with gamo also. What I do when I'm sighting in a brake barrel rifle is That I use a bag like you are but I use only one hand my trigger hand and I pull the bag to the front of the trigger guard I think you will be surprised . And if it still will not group then it is the rifle not me. I have gotten so upset with the brake Barrel that I have wanted to shoot at it with an other air gun. There is nothing more frustrating then a sore arm and a bruise ego and a air gun that still will not group .
I have the same modelSWARM and it’s shooting decent right groups at 15 yards in my indoor range. I agree the scope is cheap and an upgrade should help improve the accuracy! Still experimenting with various pellets. Nice review!
i puted a new scope (Hawke vantage 4-12x40 with Diana Zr mount ) on my gamo magnum My first impression was OMG that's it , a pcp accuracy at 25 yards pellet on pellet i used to make 3/4" at that distance sometimes more that's the mystery of this gun , i'm gonna test it on further distances
i emailed gamo a week ago asking about any new rifles coming out soon, the reply i got stated that they are releasing the bone collector in 22 by the end of 2020, first of 2021 that'll have the gen 2 system AND, using the mach 1 piston, which means more powerful than the current model, i am going to get 1 hopefully
Their scopes are pretty much hit and miss . But also check the riffling with a flashlight and take a close look lands on the rifling. Since they use the Button method which is by the way the easiest way to mass PRODUCE. as the button wears it tends to make a messy cuts until button is changed out. I ended cleaning mine with wit JB bore paste and it did a really good job.
Good Morning John, Great review! Happy 4th to everyone!! What a beautiful looking rifle. I think the traditionalist will love this rifle provided they get a good one. In May on the Gamo USA website these were on a Weekend Sale for $129. Yes, the Gamo Customer service is AWESOME. I've had the same great experience. After all your Gamo rifle reviews which single shot Gamo rifle do you like the best overall? Have you ever shot the Whisper CFR?
Exactly, I paid $129.00! For that price, the wood stock, and the performance of the replacement is why it earned 4.5 stars. I have the ACCU which is basically the same as the CFR, just a different stock. I will review that in time. I actually have a gas piston conversion for that, but I will wait to install that so I can do a comparison video. Have a great 4th!!!
I really, really wanted to like this rifle. The first one I received had huge issues with grouping much as you described. I replaced the original scope with a Hawke 4-12X40 but still got groups very similar to your initial 6 inch verticle groups. I sent the rifle back and received another from Gamo. This rifle seemed to group slightly better but would not hold zero. On the advise of several websites I added loctite to the scope screws and mount. The groups (at 30 yds) seemed to get a bit better but it was almost as if the rifle would not hold zero. I might add that I tried different recommended pellets including H&N Field Target Trophys (14.66 gr) and Exact Jumbo Heavy Diablo (18.13 gr). I got inconsistent groups, the best being about 2 inches but there was no rhyme or reason as to consistency and placement. I did notice the problem with the scope mount being misplaced on the rail but thought is was just bad design. I did see your advice about switching the scope mounts so that the post is in the front but did not get a chance to try that. Unfortunately I was inspecting the rifle this evening and found a crack in the wood stock where the barrel attaches. I'm awaiting an RMA for this second rifle and I'm torn as to getting a third replacement or just ask for a refund. It is a very nice rifle (wood stock) for the price but was really hoping for the type of accuracy you (and others) got (at least on the second rifle you received). I might note that although I am not a crack shot, I am no stranger to precision shooting, specifically from a rest. Although I realize that break barrel air guns have a learning curve I can certainly hit quarter size groups with a comparable scope equipped Ruger 1022 at similar distances. Any advise you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Mark, if you like the rifle then I would exchange it for one more. The odds will be in your favor that it will be a better shooter. Make sure all the stock screws are tight. You need to shoot a few hundred pellets through it. Make sure you clean the barrel and replace that stock scope. I really like the outlook series by BSA. Very affordable and they hold zero. Also, try a variety of pellets. Mine liked the RWS Meisterkugeln 14.0 gr and the RWS SHP 14.2 gr. But your model may like something different. Finding the right pellet is the key to accuracy. The best upgrade is my trigger screw. Very inexpensive and a tremendous improvement. I own about 20 Gamo rifles and I had accuracy issues with about 4 of them. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a bit of an effort to set up the rifle. But when you finally get it to shoot right, it's worth the time. I did write an article on my website about How to break in your new air rifle. You may find some of the information helpful airgundetectives.com/how-do-you-break-in-your-new-breakbarrel-underlever-air-rifle/
@@AirgunDetectives Thanks for the useful information. I'm glad you mentioned the stock screws as, along with the loctite on the scope mount screws, I loctited these as well and tightened them down. It was at the stock screw where I noticed the crack on the stock this evening. Oh... and I found your video about adjusting the trigger and ordered an updated screw from your website. Thanks again. Great video and channel... much appreciated!
@@AirgunDetectives Just an update... I received the third Gamo Bone Collector shortly after our last message. I attached the Hawke scope I had on a new rail mount in the hopes it would be more stable. In total I've probably put 500 rounds through this rifle and have run a bore snake through it twice (3 swipes each time). After the initial sighting it appeared to group a bit better (as did the second rifle). I then started shooting at a steel silhouette tree I have. Worked fairly well for about 30 rounds. Then the rounds started dropping low. I went back to paper and tried sighting in again. Quickly found that I was back to getting inconsistent groups. Determined to find the problem I reduced my shooting distance by half. New distance maybe 10 to 15 yards. Again no consistent groups. A couple will hit at point of aim and then... off to never never land. Determined I replaced the Hawke scope and rail mount with the 4X scope and mount that came with the rifle. I was careful to be sure to follow your direction in placing the post mount with the static post in it forward so that both scope mounts were on the forward section of rail. Using the 4x and stock mounts at 10 yards I would get a couple at the point of aim and then a few more perhaps an inch off. Odd that I do occasionally get point of aim but no consistency. I would argue that it would be my skill set but when it was initially on point I was pounding the hell out of 2 inch silhouettes at 30 yards. I have tightened the barrel screws and loctited them.... so hard, in fact, that I cracked the stock on the second rifle. Additionally I have tightened scope mounts so tight that I actually broke through one of the Gamo scope mounts. I have tried several types of pellets. The only thing I have not done is installed your trigger screw. I got the screw but the allen wrench I had was too short and I had to order a longer one. I'm pretty disenchanted with this rifle. They say it could be used for squirrel hunting or target competition. I don't hunt but feel that I could not humanely use this on anything smaller than a Rhino (size wise) and assure any type of shot placement. I have seen you, and others, achieve 30 yard groups around an inch. I've never even come close to that. Best groups were maybe two inches and even these could not be repeated consistently. I will probably try to return this to Gamo for a refund and re-purpose the Hawke scope. Any recommendations you have for break barrel rifles with some type of multiple pellet indexing systems? In any case... thanks for your help!
Final update... finally found the problem. The third screw that supports the action is one that sits in the trigger guard (behind the trigger adjustment) was loose. After tightening this screw the groups quickly fell into place... even with the inexpensive Crosman Premier Pellets. With the inclusion if you trigger adjustment screw the rifle is performing as expected... if not beyond by expectations.
I disagree with the rating mainly because you had to write a letter and return the gun for a replacement. This second gun was probably given the "twice over" before it was sent out to you. The simple fact is that the quality control is lacking. I am very happy that they have great customer relations and I believe that they deserve a 4.5 stars, but, as good as they were, the old saying, "We do things right because we do it twice!" just doesn't make the original rifle any better. Best rating, in my opinion, would be a 3, and I believe that's generous. Great review, thanks for sharing and God Bless, Greg Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸
Greg...actually...the 2nd one was right out of the box as well, and I was just John the customer through the entire exchange process. Not to mention, I only paid $129.00 in May during their sale. The wood stock is awesome, I like the trigger (S.A.T. Trigger with my screw is awesome!), easy cocking, 10-shot mag and the accuracy. I am not going to penalize the specific gun because of a lemon. As you know, I just share the information. You as the customer get to make the ultimate decision. Have a great 4th of July!! :)
@@AirgunDetectives $129?!! Wow! What a bargain!! (I just have a feel they are much more expensive over here... Yup. €299 for the SAT trigger version with a basic scope. While at it. Found the Gamo Swarm Magnum .22 also. €499! Ouch..)
Hello Mr. John, thanks for the review of this rifle because I didn't know that there was another version for the Bone Collector, can you tell me the difference between this rifle and the synthetic one? Does it worth buying the synthetic version? Thanks!
Another great review. I have finally found out about the recoil reducing scope rail that Gamo uses on these multi shot rifles! I had asked about that space on another airgun blog but never got an answer. The rings I have on my Swarm Maxxim 22 bridge the space you talked about. I have a few Gamos and they are all very fine airguns - except my Swarm Maxxim! I can’t get it to group better than 2” at 20 meters. I have tried several scopes with no luck. The only pellet it ‘likes’ are Predator GTO led free . I am very disappointed with it. I love their new multi shot concept and I may yet get one, but it must be a proven shooter before I buy. I live out of the US and returning is not a viable option!!
My 1st Swarm Maxim grouped about 2" @ 22yds. I sent it back. 2nd one grouped 1.25" at that distance but it's auto magazine broke after around 500 shots.
Tony, thanks for watching and I have had issues with about 20% of the Gamo rifle I purchased. That is why it is very essential to thoroughly test the rifle when you first receive it. If it's a lemon 🍋 it should be returned. Keep trying different pellets, that makes the most significant difference in grouping. I appreciate you leaving comments and sharing your experience. 👍
Great and Awsome Review as always . John i'm a realy big fan of Alloy Pellets especaily with my MCX on PCP. it likes the Crosman Powerpoint and Prometheus Pistol sabot pellets I was wondering if Possible when are you going to do review on pellets because on certain Airguns the Alloys are Monsters in Hunting. but you have to keep the FPS under 850/900 fps. theese pellets don't get much attention and I think someone should study this and give an Honest review about them.
Jose, I will look more into that . The only alloy pellets I have had luck with are the GTO's. They are really amazing. Other than that I found many to be too unstable and inaccurate. Thank you for the comments and have a fantastic 4th!!
hi, very good review. It would be great if you could show the cometa fenix 400 compact gp cal.5,5. It is the best break barrel air rifle made in Spain. and the 5.5 ones are very good. I own a fenix 400 compact gp cometa and a weihrauch hw97k and they are very similar in precision. being a little higher the hw97k. In pcp weapons I recommend you to try the Lobo airguns air rifles. (model: Toro cal.30) is incredibly accurate over 100 meters. but any model of Lobo airguns is excellent value for money. It would be great if you tried to show one of these Spanish-made rifles. they are really made in Spain
Cleaning? Can you comment about cleaning? I have heard there is no need to clean airgun barrels. How do you know when to clean? How do you? Thanks Will read your break in article. Thanks again
Hi Richard, I will make a video or write an article sometime in the near future regarding the easy and proper way to clean air rifles. Have a fantastic 4th! One of my great ancestors actually signed the Declaration of Independence.
Always an interesting topic. I think I have never cleaned the barrel on my Crosman Phantom .177 break barrel rifle. Owned it for..9..10 years now? Many tins emptied thru it thru the years. Still shoots good. Though.. I am no top marksman myself. I mostly shoot offhand while standing - so I am not sure if I could shoot better or would the rifle actually, and finally need somekind of barrel cleaning..😁
Do not use a metal rod!! Weedeater line is good. I also use heavy mason twine to pull patches through. There are tricks with straws and shop vacs to get the line through the silencer baffles.
I have a Gamo Swarm 10x 1st gen. And I use Excite Spike .22 cal pellets. I find loading the 1st gen 10 pellet magazine has difficulty seating each pellet. These pellets appear to be pretty well shaped and consistent, but it takes a number of attempts of moving the magazine wheel back and forth to allow the pellet to drop fully. Is this the normal routine or should I be trying different pellets or another magazine?
I bought that rifle and it got bad, I could never calibrate it, it made me spend a lot of money on pellets, very bad grouping and I returned it and bought another and this is good but it is difficult for me to group it well, I am using the SUPER-H-POINT of 14.2gr is the best I have found, you recommend something better
Those are good so are the RWS Meisterkugeln Standard .22 Cal, 14.0 Grains, Wadcutter. I will do a video in the near future on how to tune this rifle and replace the piston seal. Thank you for tuning in and subscribing. #staytunedforairgundetectives
We sent review units in .22 and .25 and the highly detailed reviews (unpaid) are up on our Facebook. Its a 43 minute video, first half .22 and second .25. We really played with slugs in the reviews after the basic JSB18.13s and 25.39s in the .22 and 25.39s and 33.95s in the .25 and they both shot them very well as expected so we didn't bother we testing any other pellets it's all about slugs... Go watch the video, you will be highly impressed with the performance we got for such a budget gun... The .22 with AVS cup base 26g slugs we shot 10 groups of ten shots at our 100y indoor range and 8 out of those 10 groups was sub minute with the biggest being 1.22 minute (moa) and the smallest being .84 minute. That's what we expect our slug setup Impacts and RAW HM1000X LRTs to do... Seeing a 300 dollar gun do that blew our minds.... The .22 is very slug friendly and liked most of the slugs we ran in it, the .25 was much more fussy and only liked a handful... We had no problems getting 26g .22 slugs to 54ftlbs and boy they liked that twist rate at that speed... It's truly hard to believe that a 300 dollar gun with a little tuning time was shooting consistently sub minute 10 shot 100y groups... Also the trigger is very good (not a match grade trigger by any means BUT a very very good trigger) very surprised at how good of a trigger it had.. We adjusted it to our liking down to 1lb 2oz and it's got a light 1st stage takeup to a clean 2nd stage stop and the 2nd stage has no creep and breaks clean. It's a very shootable trigger and is not a trigger that limits the gun.. It's better then any Kral trigger and better then Marauder triggers... It's about what i would normally expect trigger wise on a gun in the 800 dollar range. The Mrod has a really good trigger to me this trigger is slightly better then it, again not a match trigger but a damn good trigger.... The side leaver is slick, tight and smooth... The gun feels cheap but the mechanics do not. Go watch our review on facebook and you will be really impressed... We went much deeper in depth about the gun and really rung it out to show performance much more then any other reviewers have. We was also allotted one of them (the .25) to give away. Hawke and Air Venturi wanted us to make someone happy. We will be giving the gun away to the winner tomorrow at 8pm.
Now you see there's the little issue I'd have with buying a Gamo,..here in Canada we're most;ly sol with after sales/warranty service,..we have laws in both Canada and the US against being able to return firearms to manufacturers,so the service you got would be difficult ( to say the least ) for a Canadian buyer like me. My only hope would be to find a dealer who could and would test fire a rifle before shipping it to a customer here. I'd like to be able to buy a rifle with confidence, I wonder if I can with a Gamo product!
Just picked one of these up and have had an unreal difficult time getting any sort of decent grouping...the sight rail does not have the 2nd forward groove like yours did so i cannot flip around the sight mount. Wth gamo!?! Midstream update? No wonder i could not hit anything. Think this one needs to be returned
Sounds like a lemon 🍋 to me. Make sure all the stock screws are tight, scope screws are locked down. If you have more than one .22 caliber pellet try them. If it still won't group exchange it. If you purchased it through a retailer send it back to them.
Airgun Detectives-Airgun Reviews theres some more pellets on the way to try this week, we shall see. if those dont work out think im going to send it back. any other suggestions? literally everything is out of stock right now...
So I sent the bone collector back and picked up a swarm maxxim g2...its been great first few shots and now the spread is pretty bad again. I even added a bsa scope that you recommend. I really think that recoil rail is the problem. there a better scope mount you suggest that would work with the bsa? Does it need high rings to clear? cant win it seems 🙈
Not a fan of the. 25 in that Model. But I do own a .177 I will review it in the future. I had .25 XL a couple of years ago. It was horribly inaccurate so I returned it. Have a great 4th 🇺🇸👍
Airgun Detectives-Airgun Reviews I know, my groupings are the size of dinner plates, gonna have to return it. keep up with the great vids and happy fourth🇺🇸
Yep, basically the same rifle. You get the SAT trigger and a downgraded scope, but you do get the amazing looking wood stock. I actually like the SAT trigger as much as the CAT trigger once you put in my trigger screw. But you are correct the same rifle. Have a great 4th!!
The bundled scope is no good and I am sure most shooters change to a better scope. So if you are going to junk the scope it’s a good idea to buy the option with the downgraded scope!
Thank you for your video on the Bone Collector. I've been waiting for it since you gave me the heads-up on the upcoming review. I own five Gamos and never had any problems with them but it's great to know that they have great customer service. Too bad the sale for $129 has already expired. That wood stock is really sweet looking. Do you know if Gamo plans on packaging the new BSA Outlook scopes instead of the Gamo scopes? It seems that everyone I know that owns a Gamo scope ends up swapping them out. Also, do you know if they plan on adding the gen 2 swarm mags? Maybe they could add a few more mags as standard and save us the trouble of buying extras. Anyway, thanks again for your excellent work and content.👍😉
Ken...you are lucky, as I mentioned in the video, I have had a few issues with the rifles over the years, but fortunately they have all be rectified. Have a great 4th!
It's so hard to get a good Gamo they have a problem with quality control. And a lot of their rifling and crowning stinks. Have had many seems no better than Chinese stuff.

@@AirgunDetectives Have happy 4th.
Thanks Buddy...Have a fantastic 4th!!
@@AirgunDetectives you as well my friend.
An awesome review once again! Had a bit of a longer running time even.
That latter grouped so good - and even without your bipod.
I am out of bipods right now. I don't have any spare rails to put on my own guns. I have them coming but air mail is slow 🐌 😒

Hi Will. What size seal did you use in Bone collector smiting job? Is the. Compression tube 25mm? Thanks
Fantastic review! It was on the long side but you had so much valuable information that I didn’t mind watching the whole thing. Keep up the good work!
Im very surprised more people are not subscribed to you. You have a very sound recommendations and you are also entertaining keep up the amazing work
Thank you Ken. I appreciate the kind comments. Hopefully the subscribers keep coming :)
Just make sure you look for a sale...I only paid $129.00 for that rifle during Gamo's May sale. Have a great 4th of July!!!
I have the same gun. I have been lucky. It shoots very well. But what you said about the scope moving back past the seem is true. Mine did the same thing. I will move the pin to the front. Thanks for the tip.
dang great grouping on the replacement gun
It actually worked out quite well! Thank you for tuning in!! :)
Otro rifle estupendo. Gamo ha mejorado mucho y ahora fabrica muy buenos rifles. Saludos desde Sevilla, España
Ron, thank you for watching and I appreciate you taking the time to leave comments. Keep experimenting with different pellets as well. 👍
i puted a new scope (Hawke vantage 4-12x40 with Diana Zr mount ) on my gamo magnum
My first impression was OMG that's it , a pcp accuracy at 25 yards pellet on pellet
i used to make 3/4" at that distance sometimes more
that's the mystery of this gun , i'm gonna test it on further distances
4:52 i know gamo says you can dry fire their guns (at least break barrels) but i wouldnt expect their scopes to withstand it.
Nice review 👍 still waiting for my Sig ASP20 whiskey 3 combo
i emailed gamo a week ago asking about any new rifles coming out soon, the reply i got stated that they are releasing the bone collector in 22 by the end of 2020, first of 2021 that'll have the gen 2 system AND, using the mach 1 piston, which means more powerful than the current model, i am going to get 1 hopefully
Do you have a guide for breaking in a new air rifle? Thank you for all the videos!
Great review, thanks for sharing and God Bless, Greg
Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸
€499! Ouch..)
@@brorjordas1979 Hey Buddy, yes that was a super sale they are normally around $200 usd. The wood stock is actually pretty 👌
Did you do the fps for the replacement gun? The original seemed very low. Was just curious what the new one did. Thanks for a great review.
Great and Awsome Review as always .

it likes the Crosman Powerpoint and Prometheus Pistol sabot pellets
I was wondering if Possible when are you going to do review on pellets because on certain Airguns
the Alloys are Monsters in Hunting. but you have to keep the FPS under 850/900 fps.
theese pellets don't get much attention and I think someone should study this and give an Honest review about them.
Jose, I will look more into that . The only alloy pellets I have had luck with are the GTO's. They are really amazing. Other than that I found many to be too unstable and inaccurate. Thank you for the comments and have a fantastic 4th!!

Can you do a review on the New Gamo Swarm Maxxim Gen 2 .177 rifle?
hi, very good review.
How do you? Thanks
Will read your break in article.

There are tricks with straws and shop vacs to get the line through the silencer baffles.
yow that's coool thank you!!
Thank you for tuning in!! :)

@@AirgunDetectives You to!!!
Just wondering if you ever checked the FPS on the second rifle. It appeared tp me you were losing some pressure on the first one.
I did they were within 10 fps. I am going to tune that when I have a chance and see if I can improve it 🙂👍
Now you see there's the little issue I'd have with buying a Gamo,..here in Canada we're most;ly sol with after sales/warranty service,..we have laws in both Canada and the US against being able to return firearms to manufacturers,so the service you got would be difficult ( to say the least ) for a Canadian buyer like me. My only hope would be to find a dealer who could and would test fire a rifle before shipping it to a customer here.
I'd like to be able to buy a rifle with confidence, I wonder if I can with a Gamo product!
0 for 2 Gamo Swarm Maxim 0.177 for me. Don't risk it.
I dont know why they are still producing SAT triggers instead of CAT triggers
Always a gamble with breakbarrells
would you make a review on the benjamin npxl .25?
Not a fan of the. 25 in that Model. But I do own a .177 I will review it in the future. I had .25 XL a couple of years ago. It was horribly inaccurate so I returned it. Have a great 4th 🇺🇸👍
Airgun Detectives-Airgun Reviews I know, my groupings are the size of dinner plates, gonna have to return it. keep up with the great vids and happy fourth🇺🇸
I'm breaking mine in now. Crossing my fingers.
Maybe its just me but it looks a lot like a Gamo Swarm Maxxim with a wood stock ,different trigger and scope.?
