Just ordered one and used a free shipping code I found in an air gun forum. I'm very excited as I prefer a simpler but powerful spring break barrel and I love my older Gamo Whisper .22. I also have a Hatsan 125 Sniper .25 coming. Again, a simple, powerful spring break barrel. And I LOVE this color. Thanks for the great videos!

I very recently bought this rifle and i love it. I just plink and it is plenty accurate for that use. In regards to the iron sights you can use them. What i did was take off the cheek piece. You do that by unscrewing the shoulder pad and it slides right off. And without the cheek piece its the perfect height for the iron sights. Great video.
Just received this gun from gamousa, it's great! Great review!! I went with this gun due to it's simplicity and power. No extra plastic mechanisms or BS to break in the field and spring piston simplicity. More reliability and power when in the woods is what I was looking for. I mostly plink for fun while hiking but this would be great for hunting or food gathering as well. Love the gun so far and I'm looking forward to installing the trigger screw I picked up from your website. The trigger is solid from the factory but dialing her back a lb or so should be amazing. You were dead on with the zero twang thing, doesn't twang at all like my other springers do. Shoots crisp and sharp and has enormous power!! Thanks for your efforts!!
@@Karim-wb7iq I have plenty of rounds through it, probably nearing 1000 at this point. I have had zero issues with it. It still runs like it did when new. It's definitely a keeper and I would absolutely buy it again. Dialing back the trigger made it much nicer, nice short crisp break. It's so powerful that I don't like to shoot it anywhere I'm not comfortable shooting an actual 22LR. Definitely not a toy, it's a very serious gun.
Good afternoon everyone... I hope all of you are having a good day. I am 57 years old and I have been using spring piston air rifles all of my life and that's where my aim and my proficiency is and how it has developed over the years. I can't get used to a gas piston or a PCP because they are different and because my stance and aim is used to a spring piston air rifle. This Gamo Magnum GR is perfect for what I'm looking for... it has the power for hunting and it will be a great awesome tool for hunting and reliability ! Definitely going to use the H & N Hornet pellets, .22, 16 grain for hunting.
Thanx for a great review! I have read about many people having the same problem as you had with a gasram airgun that lost the power, and i think 90% of them used them very litle, and thats the problem, they get stored away for a long time without any use and the litle oil in the gasram sink and they dry out inside and start to leak, so if you only going to use your airgun once a year for hunting then get a springer, if you going to use it every week or several times a month, then you can get a gasram, and i have read that you should not store your gasrams on the buttstock only, you should vary that and store them verticaly, upside down, horizontaly and so on to keep the lubricant inside float around. I have many airguns (close to 40 now) and i have a "safetybox" @ home that i can shoot into to keep them "lubricated" even if it´s bad weather outside for a long time
Good video Mr Detective. Bought the gun for $130 on Black Friday special from Gamo USA The scope it comes with is ok for 20 to 30 yard shots at 2x2 inch targets - but it will not give .38 groups especially with the OEM trigger. My gun out of the box pushed the 14.3 at about 920 FPS which is not bad at all. There is one important detail about the Jingle that was not mentioned in the video : you have to grip the rifle really firmly to get accuracy from it - don’t try the artillery hold , this gun is a beast. Regarding the open sights the position of one’s cheek to align the sights is a sure way to injure a molar , the gun kicks like a mule - the only way to go is with a scope! Another detail about the Jungle is that the breech block that hold the barrel is made of plastic/ polymer- that doesn’t mean it’s bad - I find that mine is very strong and rugged and has no vibration or movement whatsoever. This gun is definitely not for plinking, it’s for hunting, but keep a firm grip on the gun special the pistol grip. The stock is solid polymer except for a section of the butt that is hollow- I filled that small hollow cavity with compressed oiled rags and the vibration of that section was totally eliminated. The barrel on this gun is excellent , no droopy whatsoever. Gamo makes excellent barrels. The cocking effort at 41 pound I believe is too conservative, you can see how this is put into doubt whit the huff and puff of the first five shots by Mr. Detective- by the way it’s obvious that Mr Detective is a heavy weight lifter. The 4 and 3/4 star rating is very well deserved and honest. My honest opinion is that it’s a good gun specially for a Mag at that price . I’m a die hard springer fan , they are more practical , reliable and cheaper to fix.
Wanna bet on the grip? 1st, you need a better pellet, like the 18.13gr. JSB for great long shots. Then you get the scope working,---and hold the gun, touch the gun as little as possible, (where the finer trigger mod is handy). Let me tell you why. You may know that the gun is moving before the pellet leaves the barrel, and any force into the stock will effect how the gun moves. If you repeat the forces exactly, the muzzle will always be in the same place when the pellet leaves it, and it will be accurate. Now any grip, if consistent, will work. But it is just easier to repeat "zero force" into the stock, than it is to repeat any grip, cheek, shoulder force that you would normally put into a stock. Try this----at 70 yards. Just let the gun rest in your hands, The only grip you have to have is the force needed to squeeze the trigger. (I use my middle finger on the trigger, and my index finger up on the stock for some stock stability). Now with the gun lightly in your hands, and your hairs on the target, push the butt stock away from your shoulder and cheek to just barely touch, (that is the end of a lever, the butt stock). If you can squeeze the trigger with out moving the gun with such a light hold, your muzzle will be in the same place every time, and you will be able to do head shots on small game with this gun at 80 yards. let the gun shake it's groove thing, and the muzzle will be in the same spot every time. Give it a few hundred shots to get used to it. I bet you shoot much better, (if everything else on the gun is working right).
Excellent review 👍 very impresive , 967 cphp 14.3 ,. and the penetration of the propane tank using the h &n 16.20 . that Gamo Magnum its as powerful as my Hatsan 125 .22 spring piston , and maybe even 15 foot faster using the cphp 14.3, trully impresive,. I've seen most of your reviews, and like them all , again, excellent job 👍💯
Happy New Year John, That was an exemplary review of a very practical and affordable rifle. I did notice the lack of spring twang. In addition, I was very impressed with the low standard deviation of velocity of the pellet. Now, with that said, you obviously have a much better climate where you are located. Where I'm located, it is seldom above freezing. I use my break barrels hunting small game during this time of year, and the reason I prefer the gas piston over the spring, is related to having the rifle cocked and loaded for extended periods of time. I get much more consistent performance from the gas piston then a spring piston. And I guarantee that in the field the spring will twang and the pellet velocity will drop, especially when the rifle and spring temperatures have dropped to match the ambient air temperatures. Overall, I have to say that I do like the rifle and it is a very practical late spring, summer, and early fall choice. Still better then a co2, summer or indoor range rifle. Once again, I have to admit that your channel is one of the best. Your tips, mods, and adjustments are an awesome plus. Your consistent presentation and approach to each review is one of the reasons I'm hooked. It's kinda weird, in a way, but I find your reviews honest a trustworthy. Thanks for sharing, stay healthy, and God Bless, Greg
John, Man, you have a great knack for explaining a semi complicated task. I'd love to see a video on tuning a rifle, start to finish. I believe that would benefit your channel immensely.
The breech block in this rifle even though it’s plastic has one of the best seating for pellets that I have ever seen. Gun has to be held firmly because it’s a lightweight. Bought this gun 2 or more years ago , very good gun.
Good morning from Greece! I am amazed of how good this presentation was sir! Keep it up ! Also, i would love to see more penetration tests with different pellets in your videos!
Hi JC, great job, it's a full review, I agree with everything I said, I don't understand how Gamo used open sights on this model, it shows some carelessness, I also continue to like springs better, when well adjusted, it's a good option for those who like a magnum breakbarrel with quality and good looks, good price, first video of 2021 in big, as always, cheers.

JC -- 4:35 -- Can you please follow up with this. I've had someone in my airgun community have this same issue with a Hatsan 95 gas piston. It hadn't been used in over a year and the same thing happened. I have two questions: - Is it safe to say these gas piston springers will last a long time so long as they are regularly used? (Like once a month??) -And could you perhaps maybe do a video on Gas to Spring conversion on the Hatsan? (I know they sell these springs on e-bay) I'd love to see how your whole customer experience goes with Hatsan since I've heard they do take care of their customers. Anyways great video about the Gamo Jungle Magnum. Good to see you back!

Now, as of yesterday, it looks like Gamo has discontinued this model. But you never can tell if they'll bring it back with minor changes. 🤔 Thanks for tuning in 😉

we talked about the gamo magnum gen ll in .177 you said stay away fro that so i bought the jungle in 22 today im hopful for this one! and as always like your vids and i subed today!
When you store a gas spring(rifle) you should store it with the thick end up, then the seal will be lubricated and stay flexible for a longer time, if you store it the other way around, the oil will drain away from the seal, and that will reduce it's lifespan.
I always read the comments to see what other info I can pick up from other viewers. I watched Dr. Russ this passed week. He asked a repairman what was the number one issue why people send in their guns. Answer was people store their guns butt down and that allows the lead fibers off the pellets to get down to the piston and mess it up. That's why washing pellets makes sense. I did that for the first time this week and I was surprised how many fibers I found
@@AirgunDetectives Hello from Canada. I’m looking between the Gamo magnum jungle .22, Ruger air magnum .22, or the Walther Parrus.22 for hunting small game. Any one you recommend as a better option ? good durability under harsh weather and precision are my main criteria.
Great review, absolutly spot on. Thanks I just got back from shooting this gun tonight, everything you talked about is correct. I was shooting JSB 15,89gr which did pretty good but iĺl give the H&N Hornets a go too.
Agree. I like metal springs better overall also. Got about 10 of both gas springs and metal springs in several brands. I have had three, yes THREE Hatsan Vortex leak down to empty on me. I know a guy that takes them, reseals them and improves them with upgraded hardware. I will never buy another Hatsan with a Vortex piston. Only reason I have so many Vortex Hatsans is that my wife bought me a .25 cal 155 Vortex about 6 years ago for my birthday, I got a .25 cal 125 Sniper Vortex on sale at Field Supply for $139.00 shipped !! And, I have two .30 cal 135s which only come in Vortex. Hit me up if you want this guys contact info. He returned my 155 shooting 34 FPE. A little more than I want, so the next ones I send him I will insist they not be over 31 FPE. He swears they will not leak. So far, my 155 hasn't, but it has only been one year.
I have replaced every Vortex Gas Ram with the exception of the 135 .30 cal. The Vortex rams last12 months to just under 5 years max. They are around $40 to replace them through Hatsan. Hatsan has removed the bleeder valve claiming that was the weakness in their gas pistons. Not sure on the longevity of the replacement models. I have replaced 9 thus far. I end up doing a full-tune on these at the same time. I noticed metal shavings in every piston seal. Evidently Hatsan does not thoroughly clean their chambers prior to installing the seals. When I am done with these they are great shooters. I also polish the trigger assembly and lighten the spring. What does he charge for the rebuild of the gas ram?
Hey Buddy, so yesterday Gamo listed this rifle as "Discontinued." They may bring it back at some point and put a better stock on it for open sights. 👍😉
Oh no Mr Bill I read yesterday about piston seal problems!!!!!!! and now you have a 7lb springer shooting great velocities. Hatsan has always been good to me on warranty. So far! I think these magnum airguns are what stallone and schwartnegger used to pump up!!! I wonder what the warranty is on Hatsan. I bought mine from Field supply. I was typing I just saw your scope Holey moley
Hey JC, Happy New Year!!! May God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks for all your great videos. I binge watched a ton of them during the lockdown here in Malaysia waiting for it to be safe to move back to the States. Anyway, I have a question for you. I just got an email video from Pyramid Air featuring Tyler Patner discussing the pros and cons of slugs vs. pellets. When you do your next comparison of magnum hunting rifles, can you please include some slugs? According to the video, they are capable of taking larger game and are effective at farther distances too. Anyway, stay safe, be well, and God bless.
It might be a long shot ,but in the UK there is a shop called WGC try their Welsh Willy tuning kits as a gas ram /spring replacement kit. I put one in my Benjamin trail and wow it's a lot better now. They cost about £64
I have this rifle in .177 and it's great. I was surprised how quiet they are too! Shoot like a gas piston. The only way you'd know is the cocking effort is less smooth. But shoots great!
@@Victor_Victory Only con would be what was mentioned in the video - it's almost impossible to use the open sights due to the high cheek piece. That's really the only con. Well, it's also loud in .177 if you don't use heavy pellets because light ones are supersonic. But I expected that. Pros for me are looks, power, and smooth firing. I have no other spring piston rifles that are this smooth. No spring twang at all. Accuracy is very good too, even with light lead free pellets that start off at 1400 fps.
@@Victor_Victory I can't remember which lead were best and didn't properly bench rest them, but for lead free it really like H&N Barracuda Green (6.64 grains). I think in lead it liked JSB Exact Heavy 10.34 grains.
Happy new year John! And thanks for this awesome review! Wow. You could actually see it had made a hole while the propane can tipped over.😁👍 Pretty impressive. Nice to inform about that cheek piece and open sights issue. I at least like to shoot ooen sights. Scoped my break barrel just a few years back - and before that I shot it open sighted for many many years..
- I think you should try installing this metal spring on the swarm magnum for improved performance. - The raised cheek piece can be removed and replaced with a lower one from gamo magnum..?

Great review of this Gamo. It is amazing they have made a "spring pistol" rifle as powerful and quiet as the current gas ram rifles! JC you're right on target about the stock, not good. Gamo should offer the almost perfect stock they sold on their Whisper Fusion Elites and CFR Fusion rifles just to name 2. Great thorough content as always!!
absolutely sizzling & electrifying, your intro ! Stock looks good but thin for a Magnum Springer ? What is spring life on Gamo magnum guns generally ? Any ideas on how the scopes you used on magnum Gamo's hold up over time ? And 30/40 energy is a great ratio ! 75 % vs average 30 - 40 % is amazing ! But how long will it last.... Big THX !

Hi John another informative review! I know you liquidate some of your rifles and I would like to purchase this rifle if you're so inclined. Keep up the great work and I'm always waiting for the next review!
You can shoot anything, but I am extremely picky when it comes to accuracy. So I just show you the best pellet. I shoot the Crosman PHP 14.3 gr in my Bone Collector Gen-2 all the time when I am just plinking.
@@AirgunDetectives Sounds good 👍🙂. Have a great weekend 🙂👍. Ps I did buy the Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 22 for $208 at ebay, after watching your review. It's a purchase I am definitely not sorry for getting. It has 23 FPE and is very accurate with Crosman Premier Hollow Point and other pellets shoot extremely well also like the Air Arms 16 grain and H&N 14.66 Hammer pellets.
JC, Great video as always. I didn't know that it's possible to replace springs! Is it possible to get heavier springs too? Where would you get a heavier spring? Gamo? Years ago Gamo used to produce a Hunter Extreme SE and a Tactical version also that supposedly could propel the pellets to 1650 fps and needed 60 lbs. of cocking effort. I never bought that because it was only in .177 and supposedly it was not very accurate. I would imagine that a .22 pellet or slug would be more accurate because the heavier weight would probably stabilize the flight a little more despite a lower velocity. Conversely, would you be able to swap out a 60lbs spring for a 40 lbs. spring or even swap out the spring piston for a gas piston? Would it be possible to swap out a gas piston for a heavier gas piston? Does changing a spring piston to a gas piston eliminate the problem of scope destruction by eliminating the double recoil? Thanks for the great video. Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.
Hi. Im starting in the world of air rifles. Should I go for a Gamo Swarm Magnum 10x Gen 2 .22 cal, or this Jungle? I will do varmint control and hare hunting. Thanks
This barrel must be about 6" longer than the magnum gen2 swarm. Gamo says the swarm barrel is 21" long, but they are counting the suppressor. I measure the mag swarm at about 15". I think this barrel length is the original mag length, with no suppressor. Don't force the gun into your shoulder and cheek with springers. Just barely touch before you squeeze the trigger, and those 70 yard shots will get good. Need that light trigger, since your basically not touching the gun. :)

I.have a question. Its about Hatsan airguns. Do you know why their vortex pistons fails so much? What is the problem? Maybe is because that option of those vortex that they can be re filled...some orings problem?
What would you say is the best airgun caliber overall, for all purposes. I'm torn between two airguns, the Hatson 135 .30 and the Gamo Swarm Magnum .22.
I am not a huge fan of the magazines. The G-Magnum Jungle is discontinued now unless Gamo changed their mind. I really like this for scope shooting. The open sights just don't work with the raised check piece. The open sights do however work on the Swarm Magnum. If you can find a G-Magnum Jungle and you like shooting with a scope I would grab one. I really like the spring piston over the gas ram.👍
Nice work love your videos, just ordered myself the Gamo Magnum X10 Gen2. I like your scope mount and scope, do you mind sharing the model? I have noticed you are not wearing a mask thank goodness.
Ahhh, a spring gun review,..good stuff! I can buy these here in Canada,..and I have a choice,...a .177 cal or a .22 cal,...I wonder, at that amount of power, would the .177 be too 'skitish' down range at about 20 yards? I am thinking more strongly towards the model/ caliber you tested here, the .22 But I'll wait to see what you might suggest. Thanks again for you honest reviews.
I agree...way to much power for a .177. You would have to use a 13 plus grain pellet in that caliber. Not worth it. The .22 caliber would be the way to go👍😉
Always a pleasure JC ! I have a health question. I have an indoor range. I was wondering how would the air be affected by all the co2 released by my guns everyday? Is it enough to poison myself? Does it dissipate? I googled it and found nothing. I certainly would appreciate anyone's input on this. To the springers meanwhile =:)
Springer guns, (either a gas charged cylinder or a metal coil spring), do not use co2 cartridges for the power supply. The piston draw in ambient air when you cock it, and forces that air into the pellet skirt when you fire it. There are no emissions, and all you need is the gun and pellets to shoot as much as you want. co2 is not poison either. It is what you breath out, and what plants breath in.

Sight alignment is definitely a big issue. I have the swarm Magnum g2 and its impossible to line the sights properly because of the raised cheek support . Unfortunately there's no easy fix there either.
I never had a problem before iI put a scope on mine. But I don't touch the butt stock to my cheek or shoulder either,---ok, just barely. If I had to cock my head a bit to get a straight sight, I did not notice it.

John i have a doubt with my hatsan 125 vortex, i hope its not a problem. The barrel! Most of the pellets i put in it, they enter the barrel very veryy tight, some pellets for ex slugs of 25 grains they even not go in at all, the pellets that did go in but very tight, is that a problem? It can affect the real power performance in a negative way of the gun, i assume because if there is too much friction of the pellet in the barrel....or is the opossite? I aks this because i dont have a chrony to test the speed, the accuracy with the pellets that works is very good (jsb jumbo heavy, hyn barracuda, hyn hornets) but jsb knoc out of 25 grains for ex those pellets dont fit in the barrel.
The Hatsan's are known to have a much tighter breach. As long as you get the pellet flush it should not be an issue. I have a Mod 95 in .25 that I am currently working on and it has an extremely tight breach. The key is make sure the skirt is flush when you push the pellet in. Also, slugs are really not designed to be shot in the break-barrels. They are more for higher velocity PCP rifles. You need to test a variety of pellets and you'll find the right combo. Again, just keep in mind all the Hatsan rifles are designed with the tighter breach openings so what you are describing is normal.
@@AirgunDetectives with the hyn hornets and barracuda those enter the breach very tight but the squirt go all in, i have another pellet of 21 grains from other brand that the squirt is a little out of the breach, but when i fire still works, it leaves the barrel, but i dont want to use that one because like a said is extremely tight

My Jungle is over 2 years old and I shoot it frequently, the gun has turned out A-OK , great gun in 22 for the price.
Solid rifle!👍🏻😉
Happy New Year John,
That was an exemplary review of a very practical and affordable rifle.
Greg...Happy New Year! I appreciate your comments as always 👍😉
John,
Man, you have a great knack for explaining a semi complicated task.
I'd love to see a video on tuning a rifle, start to finish.
I believe that would benefit your channel immensely.
Hey good review in your professional opinion which is better that g magnum
Or the swarm magnum gen 2?
The breech block in this rifle even though it’s plastic has one of the best seating for pellets that I have ever seen. Gun has to be held firmly because it’s a lightweight. Bought this gun 2 or more years ago , very good gun.
Good morning from Greece!
I am amazed of how good this presentation was sir! Keep it up !
Also, i would love to see more penetration tests with different pellets in your videos!
You guys are way underrated, I’m trying to get a Hatsan 135 and it’s all because of you guys, keep up the great work👍
Thanks buddy! I appreciate you tuning in 😉👍
Hi JC, great job, it's a full review, I agree with everything I said, I don't understand how Gamo used open sights on this model, it shows some carelessness, I also continue to like springs better, when well adjusted, it's a good option for those who like a magnum breakbarrel with quality and good looks, good price, first video of 2021 in big, as always, cheers.
Hey Buddy...It is surprising they didn't use a stock that was more accommodating to open sights. Hope all is good, Nitro and Mika says "Hi" 😉👍
@@AirgunDetectivesthank you my friend, yes everything is fine, I hope that with you too, Portugal today has broken negative records, more than ten thousand cases of covid, JC congratulations great video, a great hello to my babies, Nitro and Mika and the others..
I watching this now, because I'm considering buying one. By the way the green band means it's a .22
JC -- 4:35 -- Can you please follow up with this. I've had someone in my airgun community have this same issue with a Hatsan 95 gas piston. It hadn't been used in over a year and the same thing happened. I have two questions:
- Is it safe to say these gas piston springers will last a long time so long as they are regularly used?
(Like once a month??)
-And could you perhaps maybe do a video on Gas to Spring conversion on the Hatsan?
(I know they sell these springs on e-bay)
I'd love to see how your whole customer experience goes with Hatsan since I've heard they do take care of their customers. Anyways great video about the Gamo Jungle Magnum. Good to see you back!
great vid!
Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you for a great review, very profesional and very COMPLETE. After seing one of these reviews I can really know what to spect from the rifle.
Hi John, I'm just checking in. It has been a month since hearing from your part of the country. I hope all is well with you and your family. I do realize that the issues caused by the pandemic have been paramount in southern California. Take care of yourselves, wishing you all good health, and God Bless, Greg
It’s good to see Gamo going back to a spring. That is a very nice gun, and looks well made. That was a very good review.
A trick is to buy two sets of mounts with pins and use two pins on sprinters and save the two without pins on a non Springer!
Amazing review on a relatively unknown GAMO Masterpiece !
Now, as of yesterday, it looks like Gamo has discontinued this model. But you never can tell if they'll bring it back with minor changes. 🤔 Thanks for tuning in 😉
Airgun Detectives-Airgun Reviews : I am a Huge GAMO Fan ; but I do find it unnerving how they always discontinue their Best products: THE TACTICAL PISTOLS . The Hunter extreme . The Co2 pump rifle . And other truly cool and cutting edge pieces of pneumatic weaponry
we talked about the gamo magnum gen ll in .177 you said stay away fro that so i bought the jungle in 22 today im hopful for this one! and as always like your vids and i subed today!
Always love the channel, let me know this or magnum gen 2
When you store a gas spring(rifle) you should store it with the thick end up, then the seal will be lubricated and stay flexible for a longer time, if you store it the other way around, the oil will drain away from the seal, and that will reduce it's lifespan.
I always read the comments to see what other info I can pick up from other viewers. I watched Dr. Russ this passed week. He asked a repairman what was the number one issue why people send in their guns. Answer was people store their guns butt down and that allows the lead fibers off the pellets to get down to the piston and mess it up. That's why washing pellets makes sense. I did that for the first time this week and I was surprised how many fibers I found
How about for non gas regular springs?
My hatsan airtact 22 pierced a green propane tank with a crosman hollow point shot backwards with a bb glued in. I was surprised
You are by my opinion the best airgun reviewer on You tube.Just keep it up!
Are you planning to do a review on Stoeger X50?
Greetenigs from Serbia,
Thank you for watching! The x50 has been discontinued in the states. The Ruger Air Magnum is similar and has a much better trigger. 😉
@@AirgunDetectives ok,thank you.
They still make them for Europe 👍
But i will check that Ruger.
Thanks
I just got back from shooting this gun tonight, everything you talked about is correct. I was shooting JSB 15,89gr which did pretty good but iĺl give the H&N Hornets a go too.
i have removed that rail off of all 3 of my gamo mags. i use hammers 3-x40 ao scope with a utg offset mount without issue.
Great review buddy. Loads of power
Hey Buddy, so yesterday Gamo listed this rifle as "Discontinued." They may bring it back at some point and put a better stock on it for open sights. 👍😉
Another great vid, please advise when the gen 2 bipod is in production. Shouldn’t be too far off now!
The "33mm diameter cylinder", is the OD of the compression tube, that the scope rail is mounted to, not the piston/cylinder diameter.
Did it go through the back side of the propane tank? I saw light through the bottle.
Some decent recoil! Wow.
They have this but GR version i do not know why but gamo is bringing back the classics in there exclusive line up at gamousa love the wood looks
Love your reviews!
Does this model has a metal or plastic barrel block?
Have a nice day!
Nice review men 🤘 like what you do. Do you even think to do a review on the umarex beretta apx?
It might be a long shot ,but in the UK there is a shop called WGC try their Welsh Willy tuning kits as a gas ram /spring replacement kit. I put one in my Benjamin trail and wow it's a lot better now. They cost about £64
I have this rifle in .177 and it's great. I was surprised how quiet they are too! Shoot like a gas piston. The only way you'd know is the cocking effort is less smooth. But shoots great!
What are your pros and cons?
@@Victor_Victory Only con would be what was mentioned in the video - it's almost impossible to use the open sights due to the high cheek piece. That's really the only con. Well, it's also loud in .177 if you don't use heavy pellets because light ones are supersonic. But I expected that. Pros for me are looks, power, and smooth firing. I have no other spring piston rifles that are this smooth. No spring twang at all. Accuracy is very good too, even with light lead free pellets that start off at 1400 fps.
@@stanpotter7764 Nice, thanks!
Ordered one in .177 a couple days ago.. how was your scope? Also, what kind of pellets do you recommend?
Hey Buddy...Happy New Year!!👍😉
Thank you, very good full review video. After Big Pig almost hit a salamender (min 16:05). keep up with the good videos ;-)
Thanks for watching 👍
- I think you should try installing this metal spring on the swarm magnum for improved performance.
- The raised cheek piece can be removed and replaced with a lower one from gamo magnum..?
Like the green.
Great review!
Thank you! 😊
question JC if you could only have one break barrel air rifle which one would you pick?
HW98...if I could only have one...thank God I don't have to settle for one. That reminds me...I need to do the Top 5 Breakbarrels video.😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives yes you do! i allways go with your advice i have installed 2 of your trigger screw's on my gammo's just bought a hw95 from AOA had to return it because the gun pratically viberated out of my hands when shooting loud buzz.lol
I just want to ask if it is possible to make a review of the Beeman Qb chief in 22 cal?
Great review of this Gamo. It is amazing they have made a "spring pistol" rifle as powerful and quiet as the current gas ram rifles! JC you're right on target about the stock, not good. Gamo should offer the almost perfect stock they sold on their Whisper Fusion Elites and CFR Fusion rifles just to name 2. Great thorough content as always!!
You are so right! Some of their stocks are really nice. I couldn't agree more 👍😉
spring air guns are very undervalued and the gamo brand knows how to do them very well at a very good price
I couldn't agree more😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives that is especially implanted in the U.S.A in Europe we still like spring guns, now we are beginning to know the PCPs

Hi John another informative review! I know you liquidate some of your rifles and I would like to purchase this rifle if you're so inclined. Keep up the great work and I'm always waiting for the next review!
I like spring piston for about the same reason of yours. Did you ever experiencing some issues with Gamo gas piston?
I was wondering how other pellets shot out of this rifle, like the Crosman Premiere Hollow Point and is this a pellet picky rifle?
You can shoot anything, but I am extremely picky when it comes to accuracy. So I just show you the best pellet. I shoot the Crosman PHP 14.3 gr in my Bone Collector Gen-2 all the time when I am just plinking.
...Also, I just got in a Gen-3 Magnum and I will have a review on that in several weeks. 👍🏻
JC,
Great video as always.
Thanks
Would you say its louder than the gamo fusion mach 1 ?
Nice👍 did you test the hn sniper magnum pellets?
make a video with gamo magnum .177
The best pellet for my g magnum is the H&N baracuda
I think it is a very good air rifle for beginners , for this little money
This barrel must be about 6" longer than the magnum gen2 swarm. Gamo says the swarm barrel is 21" long, but they are counting the suppressor. I measure the mag swarm at about 15". I think this barrel length is the original mag length, with no suppressor. Don't force the gun into your shoulder and cheek with springers. Just barely touch before you squeeze the trigger, and those 70 yard shots will get good. Need that light trigger, since your basically not touching the gun. :)
Nice good advice

If the fpe is really high at the muzzle is it going to have less at the target? And vice versa.
I.have a question. Its about Hatsan airguns.
Do you know why their vortex pistons fails so much? What is the problem? Maybe is because that option of those vortex that they can be re filled...some orings problem?
Wich scope would last long on this rifle?
What scope should I use with this rifle?
What would you say is the best airgun caliber overall, for all purposes. I'm torn between two airguns, the Hatson 135 .30 and the Gamo Swarm Magnum .22.
Go for the hatsan 135 but 25 caliber!! 😉
I’m stuck between this gun and the Swarm Magnum Gen 2 .22, any recommendations?
I am not a huge fan of the magazines. The G-Magnum Jungle is discontinued now unless Gamo changed their mind. I really like this for scope shooting. The open sights just don't work with the raised check piece. The open sights do however work on the Swarm Magnum. If you can find a G-Magnum Jungle and you like shooting with a scope I would grab one. I really like the spring piston over the gas ram.👍
Guess what...Gamo is re-releasing the Jungle as the "Magnum GR." It's on their sight for $249 but they always have sales.
how do you get stronger springs?
Nice work love your videos, just ordered myself the Gamo Magnum X10 Gen2. I like your scope mount and scope, do you mind sharing the model? I have noticed you are not wearing a mask thank goodness.

Ahhh, a spring gun review,..good stuff!
I can buy these here in Canada,..and I have a choice,...a .177 cal or a .22 cal,...I wonder, at that amount of power, would the .177 be too 'skitish' down range at about 20 yards?
I am thinking more strongly towards the model/ caliber you tested here, the .22
But I'll wait to see what you might suggest.

Did you ever do the .25 caliber on this exact model came out about a year ago maybe
Negative, when I tried to get a .25 caliber from my Rep they were sold out. If they manufacture them again, hopefully I can get one to review.
