I was really nervous to get into alterations but this was helpful and made me feel a bit more capable. Thanks!
I'm so happy to hear it was helpful.
I've only been sewing a few years, and don't normally alter stuff. But I need to shorten 3 pairs of my pants... The jeans patch was a good technique, as was the pants hemming. But the finished dress hem was uneven. For a neat hem all around, I would have measured the seam allowance instead of 'eye balling' it and cutting it freehand.
Very well done video. Now I feel like I can hem all of my clothes!
YAY!! that's awesome! I'm so glad this was helpful!
I thrifted this old fashioned fur coat that is too big for me, but it was too beautiful not to buy! Would love to see you altering something like that 😊✌🏻
I'll add it to my list. :) Don't own a fur coat at the moment but I'll keep an eye out on one :D
this was great! i've never really thought about how clothing gets put together and this made me understand so much more! i feel like i can learn how to do this :D thank you :)
Reduce size of slack
Good tutorial! She goes right to the point,
Regards from NYS
May add details of what kind of stitch and thread and how to ensure it's secure.. you just basically say cut and sew!
I apologize about that. I've added links to the written versions of these DIYS with more photos where the stitching is more visible as well as more explanation per each step. I used basic quilting thread. To secure my stitch I simply used the reverse lever for 2 seconds and I did a straight stitch on all the hems.
this is a great video! i’m starting costume design for my schools play so this is really helpful, thank you!!! 💕
Thank you,and i also learned the word "Tongue -Twister" which in Germany is Tongue -breaker(Zungenbrecher) 😉 Greetings

how do you go all the way around on pants? that probably sounds like a silly question
Where did you buy that chalk?
❤❤
I have a question, when shortening a dress, skirt or pants, should I leave it a little longer in the back? Because of my bum, wouldn’t it raise the fabric up a little compared to my front?
Thank you for your videos. Btw - you have the most beautiful eyes. Are they contacts or natural?? Either way, stunning. ☺️
Thank you Morgana :D So happy to hear you like my videos :D I don't wear contacts :)
Thank you!
You're welcome!🤗
I’m sorry, but I got **really** distracted with the instrumental of Faster Car in the background. I’m not complaining, though. ‘Tis a good song and good tutorial
why did my teacher make me watch this for class like huh
How hard is it to take in pants. I have lost 104 pounds so far. Have behemoths with price tags still on them
It depends on which type of pants. If it jeans it's a little harder then dress pants. It takes about 30-40 minutes to do jeans and 15 minutes to do dress pants. If you know how to do it. It would be hard to explain over a message this is something I would have to do a video on.
I needed this. Been sewing 8 years but my boss banned me from pants and seams and everything except hems🤣
How to make a gown
I'll have to do a video on that.
😍
Hi beautiful girl beautiful your tips I am tailor master from Pakistan

It is not it! You have to use special needles for that knit fabric!!!
sorry but your stiches look way worse than the original and not straight. How to fix that?
