Thank you Father for explaining the faith without ceasing. All priests should do likewise for many Catholics are ignorant or didn't have the opportunity to learn in public schools.

If we obey the rules of God .there are more possibilities that we save.
patrice hadsell-evans - the word for Hope in the Bible has the emphasis on complete assurance of salvation, not that I must wait and see in hope. Christ gives Eternal Life and the believing sinner shall never perish.
I hope that I get saved, may Jesus have mercy on us all. May he save us all. We try to follow his word and be at least like him, get closer to him and his Mother, who shares her motherly love towards us. Thank you and take my Brother Ed story heaven..

@@alisonnelson3863 nothing too crazy. I’ve been Catholic my whole life and he isn’t any religion. I never took my faith seriously until last summer, when I realized I was on the wrong path. To make a long story short, I’ve always wanted to ask him but never did until I watched this talk.

I had a really good non-Catholic (baptized) Christian friend who I asked if they had baptized their kids? She said she is going to let them decide wether they want to be baptized when they are older.
I ask, why?
She said she wants to give them the choice of what religion they want to be.
I couldn't believe it.. I asked her, do you believe in your heart that your religion is the correct one?
She replied, of course!
So I said, Then why wouldn't you want your children to be in the correct religion? Why are you giving them the chance to be led astray?
I could tell something in her head clicked. Kind of like oh yeah that makes sense! But then she jumped back to what her church had taught "children are innocent, they don't have sin. So they don't need to be baptized" 💔
I wish I had the knowledge back then that I do now from watching Fr. Alar's videos.

I am in the formation for the ministry of the diaconate. I have studied for 2 1/2 years, my wife got I’ll with cancer and I had to step out of the program. We are now awaiting for the next formation to continue , although it has been postponed due to Covid. I want to thank you Father Chris Alar, for my continued education. As a convert in 2013 I was privileged to have an excellent RCIA experience. We were taught primarily by a priest from the order of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, by Father Craig MacMahon. It was very orthodox and true teaching of the church so much of what Fr Chris teaches is familiar to me, and straight from the Catechism, as I have read for myself. You can trust anything that Father Chris teaches. I run into so many people who are Catholic that really don't know what the church teaches. It is more than 'empty rituals' everything has meaning and is straight out of scripture when it comes to the tenets of our faith.

There has been so much talk about the illumination of conscience possibly coming soon and I remember talking with my family about how important it is that we receive the sacraments. I have recently come back to my faith and realize now how important they are that I try to go to confession at least monthly and receive communion as often as I can. However, when I talk with my family who have all been brought up Catholic and their response is that if you are a good person and treat people with kindness that is all you need. I feel like even practicing Catholics do not realize the power of the Sacraments but I didn't either until I was given the grace to see it. I also have been on the other end of it when encouraging other members to baptize their children as soon as possible that it is their child not mine. Thanks for affirming my belief that pushing for others to get baptized regardless of response

I have a friend that did not baptize her children, she told me that she wanted it to be their choice. I asked her how would they be able to choose, if they did not have a foundation of faith. As humans we are always seeking something to believe in, belong to. Perhaps lack of foundation is the reason that Cults exist.
