Just a helpful tip, when you use a circular saw to cut, you could put masking tape over your line (put your marks on top of the tape) and then cut to help keep the board from splintering/chipping out. might save you some time and dealing with putty and additional sanding
Good tip and also, use a "Trim" blade with 96 teeth versus the common 40-60 tooth blades. A bit of a pain to change it out every time but save it just for those delicate jobs - they're not cheap :)

Wow, what an update!! The only thing that I may have changed was to have the new base be the same paint color rather than wood stain, since the stain wasn't exactly the same as the drawers and it would have made the stained drawers really pop. Just a thought haha maybe for another flip.

Love watching your transformations. Just curious why you don't paint the backside of the piece, like this one that had the bad water stains so the customer doesn't see that even if it is placed against a wall.
