Definitely the BEST stocked trout river I've ever fished. It's a perfect balance of lots of hungry fish and some water that actually requires a bit of skill- especially spillway. Sadly, it's 6hr from me. TH-cam is next best thing. Great video. Thanks for posting. Also, from my experience, the brown trout are much much thicker in the upper half of spillway creek. I've done best on them swinging and stripping very small streamers in the pools below waterfalls or by flipping rocks to match available nymps. January was small black winter stonefies best immitated by size 16-20 black copper johns. February, grey-ish hare's ears, pheasant tails and frenchies in 14-18 were the ticket as march brown nymphs were starting to emerge and hatch. There were also lots of green caddis larva in the upper half of spillway. March, same as february but no more green caddis grubs. Zebra midges in red, black, brown produce really well in the slower water found around evening hole. fancy walt's worms in tan or grey work everywhere. generally, the smaller, the better.
