So happy for you that you got it running. What a milestone. It's because of your videos that I've been able to keep my son's 07 Xterra going. Picked it up cheap and he loves it. Thanks so much!
It is possible to replace the engine with an R35 engine, with the possibility that it would not be surprising if it is able to deal with and cross rugged places such as the desert and mountains in the most difficult terrain. There were successful experiments with this mighty R35 engine on the Nissan Patrol Y61, and the result was a shock they did not expect, even in the highest sand dunes. It's like a speedboat cutting through the desert sand
Congrats Ry! 👏🏻 Awesome to see all your hard work pay off! Did you happen to keep your notes on the jumper harnesses? I think I have two of the three plugs figured out, going through the service manuals with the spreadsheets off irate4x4, which I'm sure you spent plenty of time looking at... (man, what a pain in the butt) Just wondering if it was mainly different pin locations on the older '06? I can't wait to get my Frontier back up and running. Your videos are truly inspiring. Cheers dude! 🍻
Thank you man! And thanks for the super! Yes I do have the spreadsheet and I am making a whole video on the process. Email me and we can discuss it. Ry@rtcg.tv
Stoked to see it running! Dont forget about the auxiliary cooling fan. When i did my swap i forgot to add it. For the most part you wouldnt even notice it missing, until you have the vehicle sit for awhile, temps will eventually rise. The clutch fan isn't enough to pull air in when sitting. But as soon as you start to drive at highway speeds, its fine.
@@Rythecarguy I have it mounted in between the radiator and transcooler. The way I mounted it is very haggard. Trimmed with sawzall, and held in with zipties. I did this fix right before going offloading and it held up great so I never addressed it further. But I'll eventually create mounts for it lol.
@@Rythecarguy yessir, I didn't want to buy any additional fans, so I used the fan that came off the truck 😂 But I'm sure there's a cleaner setup, but last time I checked a v8 pathfinder aux fan was like $200... zipties and trimming was practically free
Way to go, dude! Good to know the Xterra AC line is different. I blocked off the rear air in my Armada recently and was told if that didn't work, to use Titan lines. 🤘
@@Rythecarguy There's like a T on the lower passenger side firewall and the lines for the rear run down inside the passenger wheel well. I chopped off there and used some AC line block fittings from Dorman. Cools the whole damn truck with no problem. Lol
Great job on the swap. Kinda surprised you struggled so much with the power steering and A/C lines as both of these fixes are very common knowledge on most VK swap forums and other Y-tube videos. You haven't addressed you radiator issue thus far but hopefully you discover there is a easy fix for that too rather than doing some elaborate electric fan swap.
Thanks man! Fun fact about me, I absolutely despise reading forums and I'm not a huge fan of watching TH-cam videos lol. I really like figuring things out on my own. Still working on the fan. It got cold and I don't wanna work on it now.
Hey, thank you for video and hard work. i have one question about , i have scanned my X 2012 model recently and it shows P0710 error (automatic transmision temeprature sesnor error) have you ever expereinced such a issue if yes how you fixed it? thank you

@Rythecarguy see if you can hit up your local pick and pull yards for a v8 pathy fan shroud and intake pipe/box. They're kinda rare but I've found a few in my local yards
@@Rythecarguy I still haven't charged my ac yet after my engine swap. Thinking about just paying someone as well. I haven't gone thru all the videos yet, doesn't look like you did titan swap suspension yet. What struts did you decide on since I am assuming you will do a full titan swap? I know all dogs just released a fox titan swap strut, not extended travel though. Really aren't much options with nisstec basically closing. Radflo is basically the only other option and they don't have a great rep lately with leaking and making noise. I know you can put rc frontier struts in there but they are not adjustable but are cheap. That v8 sounds awesome, looking forward to you getting it qll together!
Ry, did you use the OE Xterra AC line when you used the Titan top AC line. I'm wondering if I need to actually order the part? I'm doing the same swap, but into a frontier.
People also call it the clock spring. In the Xterras along with the clock spring comes a angle sensor. That sensor is used for VDC based on my understanding. If that goes bad, then it can cause issues with VDC.
@@Rythecarguy I found your video on it. Not sure if that's my issue because my horn works and the lights only pop up occasionally. Mostly on super hot days. I'll have to do some research. Thanks for the help!
Hard to say in different markets. It's hard to find one under 100k that isn't wrecked TBH. My guess would be around the 5K mark. If you can tolerate higher miles and maybe a little maintenance work while the engine is out then you can find tons of them around the 3k mark.

Fantastic job, its crazy how your the only person to actually film this awsome swap. Im stoked its you though keep up the hard work.
Thanks a ton! I know I tend to talk a lot and draw things out but I hope it gives people enough info/confidence to do the jobs themselves.
