Hello, thanks for this review. I just bought this ring battery doorbell, and i am having issues/frustrations because I don't receive any notifications when a person is detected or motion as well. Also, it keeps disconnecting from the wifi. Will a chime pro help with this issue? Thanks
Hi, thanks for the video! I would like to buy the ring pro model, the new one. I wanted to know that the notifications of movement and pressure on the doorbell always reach you quickly enough when they ring? And the audio when you speak is it delayed or is it possible to speak to the person who rang the doorbell? Thank you
Just don’t trust the adhesive mount. One thing I’ve learned from adhesive for just about anything, it may take minutes, hours or months but sooner or later you will find your sh*t broken on the ground. Drill where you can and if you can’t; get someone to do it for you. Adhesive eventually fails, especially outside in the elements.
Although the battery looks the same as used in previous models it appears to be different. It has less power 5800 vs 6400 and a different model number. I bought this new camera because my old Ring 4 completely died and although the battery appears to recharge correctly (light turns green after charging) I can't get it to work so not sure if it's the Ring 4 or the battery that's not working. What I do know is that the new Battery Plus battery doesn't work in the (broken?) Ring 4 and the old (broken?) Ring 4 battery doesn't work in the nw Battery Plus. It seems unlikely that both the old battery AND the Ring 4 would have broken at the same time, so I'm now concerned that I can't get a spare battery for the Battery Plus as Amazon are only listing the old battery whch doesn't state anywhere that it's compatible with the Battery Plus model. One other pain in the arse is that in the UK they released this at a £160 price point. Before mine had even been delivered they dropped the price 25% to £130 but have refunsed to refund the difference so I'm now going through the farce of returning the item to get a refund so I can rebuy at the lower price and get my £30 overcharge back. It's madness because Amazon will lose delivery costs both ways AND have a unit that will require refurbishment before it can be sold again, and I've had added hassle in having to return the item. There is a complete lack of common sense at Amazon. They've also made it almost impossible to talk to a person with automated voice robots that are almost impossible to get past and are no use to man nor beast if your reason for contacting them isn't "My item hasn't arrived", "My item is damanged" or "I want to return my item". They've really gone downhill in the last 12 months.
I agree with the comment below. Without comparing this to a competitor (aka, Nest) the review is actually fairly useless! I can easily read up on specs. What I need is help deciding which smart doorbell to purchase and for that I need a comparison and opinion. That's my constructive critisism haha :)

Did you ever get the issue resolved by ring? Any update?
does it have a mount where you can angle it to the left or right?
How long did the no drill mount stay up and did you have any problems with it?Thanks!

Thanks for the great review, do you know if any of the ring solar chargers work with this new model?
Well Explained

If you epoxy that bad boy on, you'll have to chisel the brick away to get it off.
Awesome now come hook mine up
Thanks!
Great review! What is typical battery life before you need to recharge?
