Quelques Fleurs Royale is my signature. I only wear the extract form and have 6 back up bottles which my husband insisted I get. I’m glad because the extract form has recently been discontinued.
It’s amazing how smells are so subjective. To this day, I cannot stand the original Quelques Fleurs. I tried. Many times. It’s very loud and untamed. I own the Iris and it’s a stunner during cold seasons but the projection is so weak, even in the extract form. If I didn’t know, I would classify it as toilette or cologne. To my nose, Jardin, is clean and soapy. I get absolutely no florals. Once the bottle was gone, I was done. Rare was a disappointment because there’s an anise/ Licorice scent that I’m picking up. I’ve never tried the Orangers, Roses. I will forever remain loyal to the Royale….. it’s part of me. My family know me by this scent and my girls want each a bottle. For some reason, I want something just as captivating as Royale, something similar yet different. Any suggestions?
So subjective - one of the things I love! Royale to me has this warm little promise of honey that swoons me. Have you tried L'Eau d'Hiver by Frederic Malle? It is understated and a skin scent but does the same magical honey thing… 🥰

Quelques is pronounced like “kelk,” not “kaykay” or “kel-kay” or however you were trying to say it
