- My wife and I carry every single day and sometimes there just isn't a great place to put your pistol in the cramped interior of the JKU. This holster mount from Molle Platform Solutions has checked every box for us so far and not to mention it looks cool as hell in the jeep.

I'm a state law enforcement officer and I installed this about two years ago and I love it. I have a Glock 40 and use a Leve 3 holster just in case something was ever to go wrong like an accident or something elles.

That is a very well thought out piece. I used MPS overhead Molle in my JK and JTO they do a great job. Will definitely use them again for the JTR I just bought.

Alan is awesome! I love his products and his stuff is QUALITY! I went with the bachelor edition which fits on the passenger side, LOL! Just remember if you get that one to buy a left handed holster.
We are now running the passenger side version in both of our jeeps as well!

This is a great mount , would like to see if you could put a holster on with the belt mount ? That way one could pull holster off the carry concealed , then return to the mount when in Jeep .
Currently, I keep my carry holster in the center console, but I’m sure you could fashion something as easy as a zip tie on the Molle panel.

Yeah I’m a little skeptical, I have a JK with a six speed manual transmission. Looks like this might interfere with shifting gears… I would definitely need the holster on the drivers side.
I don’t think this would get in the way at all even with a manual but you could probably ask him.
Nice mount, I am waiting to hear back from the company to see if this will work on my 04 Rubicon. But I may be let down again as they don't seem to offer anything on their website for the older Wranglers.
It may take him a few days to reply because he’s a pretty busy fella but hopefully they have something that fits your needs because I love this mount. I’m getting ready to get their overhead Molle panel!
i have been looking an install like this without drilking your panels!!! the only question i have is would this for my 2021 JT since it is specifically built for JK

After having this installed for the last few months, what's your opinion on this setup? Any problems hitting your knee or the transfer case shifter? Thinking of possibly doing this in my JKU with my Glock 17. I did change my shifter knobs out for round Q ball size knobs. Getting tired of wedging the Glock in the E brake spot.
I love it and we run them in both jeeps. We haven’t had any issues with the shifter either.
I would 100% buy it again!
Does the MPS mount impede the seat from moving forward?
Hey Jonathan, The mount wont let the seat go all the way up but my wife is 5'3" and it goes up far enough for her to drive comfortably. You can also let him know that you'd like to have a passenger seat version as well.

Yes is a right handed outside of the waistband holster
if you know the owners tell the the tj community wants one

Looks like there's potential of slicing your hand open trying to reach for the gun. Plus it's too close to the 4WD shifter. Sorry, not trying to be a complainer, but this setup isn't for me. I think there's a better holster for that area of the jeep.
Hey Ace that's totally okay for you to feel that way. All I can say is that we have both the driver AND passenger side versions of this holster and so far see ZERO places for improvement and we are in 4WD every weekend so the spacing is definitely not an issue.
So far I haven't seen a better set up out there because It's durable, out of the way, and easily accessible in seconds, and holds pouches for extra gear.
Since this review published at least 6 of our friends are running the same with set up with nothing but praise but we'd love to see your recommendations so that we could potentially test them as well in our rigs
@@DownSouth_Adventures I've seen another setup for that spot on the jeep, but I'm not sure my pistol will fit the holster it provides. I have a Streamlight TLR8 on my pistol that i want to keep but sadly they aren't making these holsters flashlight friendly lol.
Glad that your setup is working for you though. Hopefully we'll never have to use our weapon, but with the crazy days we're living in you never know. Better safe than sorry.
@@AceGoodheart absolutely . The cool thing with this is that you can use your current holster or any holster you have. I had a friend make a kydex holster for my HK with the streamlight and it can be added to the mount easily.
