  • I installed an overhead molle panel by Molle Platform Solutions on my Jeep JK and it's awesome!
    SIDE NOTE: The company is called Molle Platform Solutions and I kept saying Molle Panel Systems and then corrected it to Molle Panel Solutions which is still wrong. I apologize MPS!
    Parts I used:
    Molle panel: www.molle-plat...
    Molle pouch: www.amazon.com...
    Quick-release fire extinguisher mount: www.amazon.com...
    (This video is not sponsored by Molle Panel Solutions.)

    I have this same panel sitting in my garage for over a year now because I didn't think it was compatible with my switch pod. I guess I need to install it now after seeing how easy it is.

    I have both front and rear panels for my JK and I love them. I love MPS products, especially since it is a small business and American made. #SupportLocalBusiness

      @Blue Savage I both over panels. I’m just under 6 foot and have plenty of room. I have Molle pouches for storage that’s mostly where my son stores his gear.

    Nice. What a coincidence, I did this exact same install a month ago and love that my dash is so freakin clean and uncluttered now.
    Another game changer, since I saw you install that fire extinguisher (how on earth do you not bump your head into it 😃, I'd here to see that huge thing hover over me anyways), look into Element Fire extinguisher. You'll love it.
    I have, not one but, two of them tucked away in the panel (One on my side and one on passenger side for my GF) It's small enough and the gap on the top (between the molle panel and freedom panel) is just right for this. I used a bungee ball cord to wrap and secure them. This way you can still use the actual molle (facing bottom) to hook up whatever. Figured I'd share the tip 😉
    Oh also I'd suggest buy his (his name's Alan) Rear overhead molle panel as well. I have yet to install it since I'd have to take my RTT and hard top off and been lazy about it. It's sturdy AF and who doesn't love more storage 😃

      HAHAHAHAHA. I'm laughing cuz, okay, wait for it...my wife bumped her head and now it must be moved lolol. My next video will actually be for a DIY under seat molly.

    I bought and installed this because of your video, Thank You, I love it. I got it just a hair to the right but it works fine with my switch pod. I should have swung the visors in to center the pod better but it worked!

    Duuuuuude that is on my build list. I am waiting to do all electronics at once in my build.
    I have the door stop extenders for opening the doors. Definitely get those! I also have their molle panel for holster mounts on the driver side. Even if you aren’t a gun guy; explore a molle panel down there to store your flashlight, leatherman, pocket knife or whatever. Great gear.
    I plan to Mount radio equipment on the overhead panel such as HAM radio and speaker as well as some seatbelt cutters and small pouches.

    So after 2 years..... What happens when it rains and you're topless and doorless? does the radio and equipment get soaked?

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't go topless or doorless with this vehicle anymore. Specially since I have an RTT on top and the roof rack is low profile that it's a pain to slide the freedom panels off.

    Hey AS, I love the fact that you are doing things I'm looking at doing for my Jeep next. I think MPS modified his overhead platform to fit the S-Pod head units because I think that was the only reason I didn't go with it before. I know you mentioned going with the Vector Bar, do it, I love mine with the 67 Design and Ram mount options... You'll find that you might put some of that stuff from the MPS on the Vector Bar... Keep up the great work !! Peace from Canada

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really want that vector bar but 67 is always sold out of their phone holders. I alrdy have theirs from before but I want another for my wife’s side. We will see

    I have a similar Apollointech switch panel and have the same concerns you had about trying an overhead molle panel fitting. I wonder if the other guy you referred to was the one I saw that used the nutserts. I'm glad I won't have to. I hate those things. My only hesitation left is the price of the MPS panel ($150) that uses self-tapping screws vs the price of the Tribe panel ($65) that uses nutserts.
    P.S. the Vector Bar really is even better than I expected too. You'll love that thing! I went with RAM mounts instead of 67D and couldn't be happier.

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tough choice lol. I didn’t even know about that tribe panel. I hate nutserts too lol. But hey, half the price. Just don’t mess up the holes lolol
