    I used your method on a really rough voice sample that I had, and admittedly it still doesn't sound great, but the speech is sooo much more intelligible, it's incredible how well this method worked! Great tutorial!!

    Can't believe I've never used saving as audio preset before. So many times I just copy/paste from another timeline/project. So helpful!

  • @SERGE_Tech
    @SERGE_Tech 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Now all these modules that you are adding to the audio is there a way to systemize this bit so I can just clone the settings I want to my next clip/recording or do I need to go in and adjust everything manually so to speak.. how this question makes sense? And I guess its ok if I have to its just that humans are lazy and want a simple preset tweak but based on what I'm seeing here it looks like its a manual process? I often have to remove planes and random people walking by, I'm also guessing removing people talking from next door would be next to impossible huh? Looks like my question is partially answered at 06:50

    • @benjohnsoncreative
      @benjohnsoncreative  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can create a preset from the effects and also you can copy and paste them clip to clip if needed

      So i'm filming multicam video podcast with the Sm7b and the zoom f8...
      1. Is there an effect on FCP X for setting the output gain to the level that the podcasting distributors prefer to like radio standards, LUFS or something? Is this needed or is it just okay to set it to -3dB like you did in your video?
      2. Is exporting as a WAV on fcp sufficient for the podcast platfroms as an audio file compared to for example editing it in adobe audition and exporting like that - only issue being it won't have the cuts/edits in it
      3. For a 2 mic podcast, so 2 zoom files synced, how would you edit them in a multicam? One person is speaking way more than the other...just wondering if you'd keep them both on with both all the effects from your video or bring them together into one track?

      Make sure to be in a quiet room with no echo and have the mic close. Sometimes recording in a closet surrounded by clothes to dampen the sound can yield a great result
