It is good to see our teacher Mary talking to Matteo. I enjoy all her conversation lessons (Joy of Languages). She is always kind and smiling even though we make lots of mistakes.
I couldn't help but laugh at the beginning! That moment when you start speaking Italian and then someone asks you a question, and it's like "uh-oh!" 😅 It happens to the best of beginners! The learning process can be so exciting at times.
I avoid the video calls from Lily (Duolingo) because I always panic and say something like "I have a black cat" or I like dogs regardless of what she says to me. 😆

Thank you so much! I have been looking for "conversations" in Italian and it's all usually transactional stuff like reserving a hotel, etc, which is important, but it's not the same as actually talking to people!
