These slow speaking vids are wonderful.
When Katie makes mistakes and they laugh while correcting her even at her very advanced level, it’s so endearing to me! It really shows this is an ongoing process and that making mistakes is really not so serious.
What I like more than anything is the charm and humor of Katie and Matteo. I second what everyone has said about the helpful slowness but it’s the fun attitude that keeps me going.

As I advance my vocabulary in Italian, I can appreciate the slow Italian conversations. I was proud to understand your conversation while reading the closed caption. Katie and Matteo literally are a part of my household. My husband suggested that I start recording myself so I can hear how far along I've come. If it wasn't was this channel...I would have given up learning Italian 12 months ago. These two make it so much fun to learn the beautiful language. Grazie mille for these wonderful learning tools!
Yes ! I agree, it's like you know them personally right (la marco di questione è rotta XD... I know this is incorrect btw) I started the second week of March this year and I am able to understand everything. I still find it difficult to make sentences myself using the right tense and expressions.

I like listening to Italian even though I'm not studying it.
I am only a few weeks into learning Italian. These slow conversations are still too fast for me however. I slow the the settings down to half speed so i can follow along and really hear the pronunciation of all the words. Then I go back and listen at regular speed. This has been really helpful. Thanks for these videos!
Yeah, these videos are great for beginners too. I started using Duolingo as well, and I think that really helps too, because first, I always had to read the English caption but now, I am reading the Italian caption and only occassionally have to look at the English subtitles.

I listen to these while doing homework like math to get some extra Italain in through the day. It's my language of choice for school and stuff and i really want to get decent in it! Grazie!

Gail's bakery is wonderful for croissants and other pastries. Several in London and also in Wilmslow (30 miles from Sheffield).

Please try Caffe Tucci. There’s one on Surrey Street, and another on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield. It’s owned by two brothers from Napoli, and their pistachio brioche are insane.

Vi consiglio una giornata a Buxton, poco meno di 30 miglia da Sheffield e molto cane amichevole. Un sacco di posti per camminare Brody e pizza in La Gaby. Il Festival Internazionale di Buxton è a luglio. Ho studiato con te durante la pandemia, tornerò presto un giorno. Buona vacanza!
Love walking the Longshaw estate, just south of Sheffield. Miss eating at Ciao Baby in Meadowhall. And have you tried driving up to Wensleydale to tour their cheese factory? Or fish and chips on Cleethorpes pier? Have you been down to Matlock and Matlock Bath, or Bakewell and tried the Bakewell pudding (not the tart)? Or a day in York?

Sono apenna ritornato della sicilia un paio giorno fa! Sono stato in Catania, ho fatto una passegiata all'Aci Trezza, viaggiato sulla Etna e poi visita Noto con la sua architettura molto buona! C'era un tempo molto carino e non vedo l'ora ritornare in futurò :,)
If you like cheese and Yorkshire generally. Wensleydale is a great place to visit. Lots of “Gelato” shops popping up too, maybe try a visit to the Cotswolds. As you like coffee, there is much better coffee in the uk, specialty artisan coffee in most towns. Coffee I find in Italy generally is pretty poor, but as it’s my passion that’s probably why im so particular.
The food however in Italy, is generally nicer, especially around the Naples area. That said the North of Italy tends to be my favourite part.

Ci sono due posti uno vicino all'altro in Londra (nello specifico in Walthamstow, E17, in nord-est). Il primo: Beaten by a Whisker con ottimismo caffe, pasticcini, e torte vegane. Il secondo: Wierdough, un posto piccolo però con una grande selezione di croissants (erano finalisti del Best Croissant in the UK competition!), pizza al taglio, e, a volte...brioche al pistacchio. Vi saluto se siete lì e sto comprando una pagnotta!
Go to york for a day. It is a wonderful place. There is a wonderful italian caffè called "La Bottega" ran by an italian man and his wife. A taste of home for you guys away from home! It is not too far from Sheffield.
Skipton has a lovely market with great cheese... just saying.
Sto imparando l’italiano allora… con palabre di bambini… Non viaggiamo perché ho subito un intervento chirurgico. Stiamo a casa con il nostro cane (anche) e il nostro figlio che cerca il suo primo lavoro. Vado a molto nuotare, leggere tanti libri, andare al ristorante e lavorare a mi prossimo libro sulla cucina… italiana! (La ragione perché sto provando di imparare la lingua.) Buona vacanza!

Devo aspettare fino a l'ottobre per andare in vacanza, però varrà la pena... andrò a Toscana per il matrimonio di mio cugino. Si svolgerà in una villa, nel corso di tre giorni. Prima di tutto questo, passerò una fine settimana con mia sorella a Roma, e dopo le nozze, andrò a Firenze per alcuni giorni :)
Yes, I agree that the slow speed really helps. I'm completely fluent in Sicilian, but I'd like to be able to ditch the dialect and speak proper Italian when wanted. Better get studying. 😊 Thank you.

In questo momento mi trovo a Roma per le vacanze. È la fine di un viaggio di tre settimane principalmente in Puglia. Preferisco fare le vacanze quando c'è meno gente e meno caldo.

We just have 'gelato', which is simply the Italian word for 'ice cream'! 😀

Non l'avete parlato di questo nel video, ma se andate a visitare qualche posto turistico dove parlano della storia antica dell'Inghilterra, quello sarebbe fantastico. In confronto alla storia di Inghilterra, e per vedere le tante cose orribili che hanno fatto l'un, l'atro, il Trono dei Spadi sembra un libro per i bambini. A Matteo, non dimenticare che per pronunciare le citta' di Gloucester, Worcester, Leicester, Leominster, ecc. si pronuncia come Glostah, Woostah, Lestah e Leminstah... :) Buon viaggi!. Tom
