This story is incredible! The undercover boss showed so much humility and heart, and the twist with the customers was truly eye-opening. Loved it!
Just wow I wonder how many dealerships do this?
Truly admirable how Elijah Daniels wasn’t afraid to step in and listen to his employees to address issues at their core. This story is a powerful lesson in empathy and leadership responsibility. Congratulations to the channel for sharing such an inspiring story, and best wishes to all readers to find motivation from these meaningful lessons! 👏✨
Wow, this story hit me hard. The way Daniel stepped in to help and honor the couple's son’s memory is truly inspiring. The world needs more people with this kind of heart!

Thank you Daniel for being a honest and caring business man!!
Caring to take care of your business and not only your customers
Great appreciation for your generosity
This is how you lead by example! Daniel's commitment to doing right by his customers is a game-changer. More businesses need this mindset.
Daniel Reev buying the car to honor the late son of the elderly couple was the highlight for me. Such a powerful and emotional gesture. This is how businesses should treat people.
This video was incredible! Such a powerful reminder of the importance of integrity and how true character shines through in unexpected moments. Loved every second of it!
Nice story, to bad it doesn't work that way
Exactly
Why can’t it?
I was just going to say the same thing pasta maker
What an inspiring video! It's amazing to see a CEO take such a hands-on approach to ensure fairness and compassion in his business. Truly heartwarming!
A LOAD OF CRAP....
WOW! Truly AWESOME man who has a Conscience and cares about people!
I don't care if it's a true story or not, I love THIS!!!! Heartfelt 😊
Loved how Daniel stood up for honesty against greed. The moment he fired Rick was so satisfying! Finally, customers are being treated with the respect they deserve. 🙌
A great reminder to always treat others with kindness and respect, you never know who they really are.
Stories like this restore my faith in humanity. Daniel is a true example of kindness. 🙌
I would not ever put my faith in humanity. The only person that me or anyone else in this world is the Lord Jesus Christ. Anything else is just vanity.
My first job working as a mechanic for a dealership, they got busted by the government for wire tapping customers in the conference room. The salesmen took customers in and gave people the list price then left them in the room and went into the managers office and listened to them discussing how much they can actually afford then went back into the room and gave them a max price they could afford instead of the best deal they could offer. So it really happens.
This is why it’s so hard to trust some dealerships. Stories like this remind me to always be cautious and never let them pressure you into anything.
@MrMaxStories I agree, I used to get reprimanded at work for 30 yrs because I would talk to my own customers and tell them everything I found wrong with their cars and recommend only fixing safety hazards and work everything else into their budgets as needed. I used to get yelled at all the time but my customers always came back and requested that I always worked on their cars. Some even followed me when I changed jobs.
@ That shows true integrity. It’s not always about making the most money; it’s about building trust and genuinely helping people. Respect for staying true to your values!
It's shocking how unethical some businesses can be, taking advantage of customers like that. Your experience really highlights the importance of transparency and honesty in sales.
@@StoriesXUSA yrs ago when I was working for Manny, Moe and Jerk, they would shove it down your throat that the factory maintenance schedule was like the fake beliefs that the dates on groceries was real, it's merely what their insurance companies lobbied the FDA to put there to keep them from being sued. They would take a factory maintenance schedule saying to "check these items" and train employees that these items self destruct at that schedule, they don't. I used to be a state inspector for cars and after a few years I refused to renew my licence because laws got ridiculous. When those new headlights and tail lights with all the leds in them came out, some having 30-40 leds and only 1 was burned out they required people to replace a $1000 light when it only had 1 element out. Ridiculous.
It's a great reminder that doing the right thing can lead to lasting success, even in the face of challenges.
WOW, that was very interesting!
Wow awesome
Nice story
Unfortunately that’s how most dealerships do business
Nice fictional story about a car dealer. 🙂
The sad thing is it is not fictional.
Yeah we know its bs ,but it's nice to listen to something positive for change you know 😢just cos
@@546cowboy6 The fictional part is that the owner wouldn't like it.
Good luck finding an honest dealer anywhere!
In the UK we call that a "Ripping Yarn"
This was a really good story about the fair treatment of everyone
Many need to listen to this
I wish all car dealers would do this we had a horrible experience of being cheated for a trade in and outright disrespected by Nashua Toyota 6 years ago and it still stings to know that. Good job for this owner. 👏
This is the way all businesses should be run.
Does anyone know of any honest dealerships, and if so WHERE are they located?
I recall going to buy my first car.. oil embargo at the time. Went to 4 dealerships that evening. First no inventory on parts and only a stick shift available. Second a Cigar smoking salesman only interested in helping a woman , no time for me .I had to ask for a brochure. The third dealership, the young men only wanted to look good in their Suits. Didn't even come over to talk with me. The last Dealership i went to i told my experience and Said sell me a car . He not only knew the car but found out this salesman out sold the entire other dealership which sold the same brand that Month.. kept it 14 years.
Now this should be good….a new story watching from IL. I’d love to be shopping myself.
That is true only run any business with truth & honesty
I admire your guts daniel, the truth will set you free
Who has the time to listen to these?
You do obviously 😂
What a rare dealership. The 'Langford' tactics are still prominent in many dealers today. Finance managers get rich by up-selling every customer they can. Watching TH-cam videos that inform us of excess fees and scams are one way to combat such dealerships. If all car buyers were armed with such information or taking along someone who really knows the ins and outs of dealerships would likely have an impact on how dealers take advantage of so many buyers.
This is a really good story

As the disclaimer states, the story is fictional. I don’t think there are any honest car dealers that treat people fairly and do not try to take advantage of them.
This video might of been a fictional tale - but a lot of time fiction is based on fact. Just take this video as a wake-up and let it sink in ; there are honest and good people.
AI has a problem recognizing when the letters should be read as letters (CEO) not as words.😢
AI is a PITA. 🤣
Is this a composition written for an English class?
People, this story is PURE FICTION. Learn how to spot fiction when you hear it; and try using a search engine to confirm, once in a while.
I’m sure it’s fiction but just because it’s fiction doesn’t mean it can’t be real. It only takes people that believe a business can be honest and treat customers fairly and be profitable for it to become a reality. Let’s hope.
@@cbmore28 Sadly though, those kinds of businesses aren't the ones that become big. I'm with ya though- that is the way I do business....but I've been a "one-man show" all of my life, and resisted "growth" because there is just too much outside of your control when you have to delegate to others- as one must do to get big. Also, it works the opposite way around too (Probably actually more common) in that customers will take advantage of you if you are not very diligent and don't have mechanisms in place to protect yourself. Hang out at any customer service desk for a while and see!
@@bobbylibertini You are right. Customers are often dishonest too. Perhaps they feel since the big businesses are out to take advantage of them and that it’s fair play. I’d like to think there are still honest people and those with integrity that still exist but you often only hear stories about the other side that one starts to doubt it.
They tell you it is fiction just above the comments.
@@BJordan129 Ha! I didn't even notice. Apparently, most others don't either. (Just like they don't seem to notice that they are being snowed in every election....)
Never met a car dealership with a heart.
Cars should only cost $500. over invoice and trade ins should be more the 50% of what the dealership is going to sell the car for. It's been proven again and again that customers will pay a slightly higher price to an seller that they trust but will stop buying anything, even at a lower cost, from a seller that they feel ripped them off even once.
I would like to REALLY believe that this was a TRUE story!
It's not. See their disclaimer
My husband would have loved this....
Oh good gracious another waxing poetic story! Who writes this garbage.
If this was real, then why not let it play itself rather than narrating some bs
How would any employee not know who owns the business?
I no wright
The character owned several dealerships.
I wouldn't recognize my CEO as he changes too often. Either involved in some sort of (business) scandal or lured away by a better offer.
A lot of employees would not know.
@ That would be impossible. My employer publishes its own magazine and the CEO doesn't miss a chance to appear in it. That's how we know he is still our CEO, see previous comment.
Car dealaships do all that
Idd never buy a car from a dealer and idd only pay cash the financeing is where a dealer makes good money as an add on
And iff they sayits discounted 3k you can bet its tacked on in hidden fees
You’re right. How do you think the overhead gets paid for? How do you think the lights get paid for, the employees salary get paid for? A lot of times the manufacturers Lender runs 0% interest or a very low interest rate Where they make zero dollars. It’s called buy rate, look it up. Bottom line is most employees at a car dealership are 100% commission, which means if you had it your way, those employees.(Who typically work 10 to 12 hour days) would make absolutely nothing. Before you get all high and mighty, understand all aspects before you pass full judgment.
@@davewood9656remember, when you buy a new car from a reputable dealer, the manufacturer of most Japanese brands will send you a questionnaire on your buying experience. That feedback determines any bonus they receive, so be honest. Also if dealers add extra finance fees without your knowledge, tell your State Attorney General on fraudulent practices there.🤑
Aye very good
This story is exactly what happens every time I’ve been in a car yard, this is how they all operate!
I want to buy my next car there.😊
If anyone really thinks this is "true"... please read the disclaimer. Wow
I am watching from Jamaica
This does not happen here
We are all Jamaicans
We do not look at skin color
Out Of Many We Are One
and then father Christmas flew across the snow covered red roof with a glint of sadness in his old kind eyes,
So why couldn't this be an actual episode of Undercover Boss, instead of this AI crap!!!
Thank God for people like Mr. Reeves that still exist today. It's bad enough that cars are not made of the same exact material that they use to be made of but ripping people off right and left nowadays, it's really hard to say who can they really trust and how much. God bless Mr. Reeves and all of his loved ones and company. Have a Blessed New Year in Jesus's name. Goodnight.😂😂😂😂😂
This story is pure fiction.
Are you referring to bosses that no one knows? Owners that just spend the money their employees work hard for?
Seems like an A.I. video…
I just went through a purchase and the sales staff did exactly what’s reported here. Lies about interest rates , lies about interest tied to additional warranty and brow beating to make you feel embarrassed.
Refund plus interest or he's not a upstanding person. He owes them the interest, and if it went to court the court would make him pay interest.
This is only a dream.
Worked as a service advisor at Ford and Peugeot main dealers. Directors would push in front of customers near closing time and demand instant rectification of their cars defect with the usual 'do you know who I am?' Utter prix.
Way to hard to believe any stealership cares about customers at all. Dealers are only interested in the one and done sale, not interested in long term customers. That’s a thing of the past. I’ve personally seen that in person. Great story, but clearly not real.
Try and teach these values to car dealerships across America. Car salesmen & dealerships are rarely ethical in their practice of peddling their wares. As I have been victim to over zealous salesmen and didn’t want a return customer or value your business One such dealership is in Grand Rapids, MI.
How is he not able to
be recognized
When it comes to selling on the market sentimental value is not valid
Aspirational words, and the match to the reality of the norm established for car business.
Right is right …. Wrong is wrong ‼️‼️‼️
Busted 😂.
WARNING: This is a fairytale. While the CEO may have been uncomfortable with seeing his policy in action, he made the policy, designed the system, and got rich from it. If he makes a list of every rip-off this dealership has made, he is going to then have evidence enough to have his dealership license revoked and probably lose his franchise.
Ahahaha love to see this happen in the real world. Sorry not buying it but good story.
this is likely a fake story, however that is how these dealerships have always worked.
And why at nearly 70 yrs old I've only bought 1 new car from a dealership my entire life.
This is not a real video. It's not actual people talking and moving. Just an A I created video for TH-cam ad revenue !
Wish this cinerio happened to us , we really gotten taken advantage of on a 2016 Jeep Patriot , blue booked at $8,000.00 we got suckered into paying over $ 27,000.000 and still am upside down on the loan!!! Ugh.
I REALLY wish this was true ...
I fear some of the comments. People, people, people. That story isn’t real. It naver happened and probably will never happen. Have you EVER left a dealership thinking you made a real honest deal? Think about it. If you want XX added to your new car. It isn’t available except as a $3000 option including several things you don’t care about.
I followed this right through, the mistakes in the subtitles were too many to record.
Don’t put fake situational videos online to make as $. We all know that employees would immediately recognize the owner. Thumbs down fools!
Good story not true life I just got a new car my trade-in I couldn’t stand up straight for a week. They put it to me good no discount on that price of the new car either buying a car now days is not a pleasant experience trade and value as soon as you drive it off the lot you lose $10,000 so sad>😢😢
A lot of Rick Larsen out there, not many Daniel’s.
Fairy tale, but interesting! I recently bought a used Lincoln in Houston and got hosed by add-ones just as stated here.
Is this a composition written for an English class? I don’t believe the story at all.
AI story and narrator
Is Daniel single? 😂
Wear😅
If the son died, how did they have a clear title? When person dies the title is in their name, and it can't be transferred. He would have to signed and transfered when he was alive. You cant even junk the car in most states. I don't believe this story is true.
Don't get all high and mighty. If you provide a death certificate and other paperwork, it can be transferred. A high risk job like a firefighter leaving all his possessions to his parents makes sense.
If there is no will the law determines who gets the inheritance.
Nice fiction story
You know this isn’t a real undercover boss episode… It’s just a made up story.
What a load of !!!!..... 1/2 hr of My life gone....
Never purchase those paint sealant BS, it's snake oil. Nitrogen in the tires, snake oil. I've done my share of dealership buys, some badand some I felt good with. Reeves had dealserships in Tampa, but now bought buy Morgan Auto Group.
Why would the parents be responsible for an adult child's medical bills, especially when he died in the line of duty? And why would they have a clear car title for a deceased son? And wouldn't the elderly parents have their own car?
Evidently Mary, not everybody in a perfect world is as perfect as you
@marypalmer1027: You are over analyzing your chit! Don’t know WTF you writing about!🤷♂️
I suspect this entire vid is a work of fiction & a hopeful tale that probably has occurred once in the past century.
First, they never said it was the son’s medical bills. Those would’ve been paid for by the firefighters insurance policy.
Second, if all his worldly positions went to them, all they would have to do is transfer the title to them by providing death certificate and other paperwork.
Third, they may have had another car which could be in the junkyard by now because it died or crashed or something in the past. If they live somewhere with a good public transportation system, they might actually not have needed the car very much until now.
thank you - nice idea, but, this could have been a 5 minute video, you lost me.
better if it never happened in the first place
If i my self would put the car through the work shop and fix it to show Room and give the car back to them and it yours again
😂So many fake story's who have heard about a Boss in a car company who is like Santa Claus?
Scrooge on 26 December.
"Asterisk Asterisk"
You don't have to make this like a novel, so bye
ZERO chance this story is true. ZERO! Cute story, but perhaps you should t have used car sales to make your point.
