    I carry this daily. Originally had a p238 SAS, then moved to a 365 SAS, and finally settled on this. As its the best of all 3.

    Bought my wife a P238. Sweet shooting pistol. Easy for her to rack and handle especially with the 7 round mag. The P938 is the big brother.

    I've never owned a S&W 39 asp but have always loved the concept. This is like a modern rendition of that and commercially available.

    A p938 with the p365 high capacity treatment would be pretty cool to compete against the new S&W CSX.

    I have a SIG P365, love the gun, I want to like the sight, but it is hard to see in some conditions (for me and for others), but that is ok since it "barrel" sights pretty good at close range. On the other hand, the laser optic solves that issue. Sweet little gun and easy to "pocket" even with the optics. I like the striker fired double action.

      If you can't take someone down with 2-3 shots max, you're not using the it correctly.

    What I Don't understand is why mess with a nearly perfect platform? I own the original P938 SAS model, a beautiful functionally perfect pistol. All the reviews I have seen on this new version with It's funky sight has been negative, and all say It's practically unshootable because It's so inaccurate. And in all the years I have owned that P938 SAS it has never snagged on anything. When you buy a quality pistol, you should have enough sense to buy a quality holster, not a dime store foam or nylon $15 "Uncle Mike" to carry it in. A holster that befits the gun.

    Wouldn't this be a better time to crank out more of your top sellers, instead of putting out new models? Nobody has seen a stocked wall like the one in the video, since March. Not sold on the sight yet, even less so on this model. With the hammer closed, you have no sights? That makes about as much sense as dropping the P239 from the lineup, and leaving owners in the wind as far as support and parts.

    • @jasonk3038
      @jasonk3038 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dan Snyder Sure it matters, because not everyone will carry it cocked and locked. Who would want to have to rack slide or cock hammer, just to see sights. Ironically, the P365 SAS is the only Sig sitting on the shelf of my local gun shop, and has been for months. Why is that? Because it is a neat idea that in execution, is not very useful.

      You can do that if you want to forget the extra rounds you carry in your P365. I have both pistols and normally carry the P365 for the 10+1 rounds I carry in it. You can actually carry 12+1 with the optional 12-round magazine, as I'm sure you know. The P938 is great for deep concealment, but I bought the Sig SAS slide option for the the P365 and it now conceals as well as the P938. I'll probably sell or trade the P938.

      @@jameyevans29 I make a number of changes to include: Reducing sear positive engagement angle by about half; thin the ejector side of the sear spring to about .022" and mostly straighten that side of the spring; change trigger return spring for weaker and add a follower to that spring (smooths pre-travel); and polish stuff. I have never worked on a P938 that had a decent sear to hammer engagement. The MIM parts are not precise and SIG does no post molding machining to true them. I use Power Custom jigs and fixtures to true and adjust sear angles.
