From other Maidiacs I've read there is at least 3 versions of the intro. The song originally was an instrumental until Saiki asked Miku to write some lyrics for it. I've read two different versions as to why. One, she saw the others having fun playing the song and wanted in herself, the other she heard lyrics but didn't know them and wanted them written, if that makes sense. As for requests, well I really REALLY like Moratorium, Blooming, Rinne, Don't You Tell ME, Don't let me down, Daydreaming, About Us, Alone. Just about any song by Band Maid and I enjoy it. If you have access to Spotify though, could I ask you to do a listen to some of their much older songs that don't have video's? Such as Be Ok, Brand New Road, Summer Drive. Just listen to them through your music app and record it. I'd be very interested in your thoughts on the music. Especially from how those older songs were not written by them, they did choose them and had input in their production. How much I don't know. But both Miku and Kanami have stated that they had choices in what songs they were to record and on their production.
Precisely. We genuinely want to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions. They might have new ways of looking at a song, they might hear something we didn't pick out ourselves. We don't know until we watch their videos.

So ONSET-LIVE (monster instrumental) and REAL EXISTENCE-LIVE are still to go. I'll just name a fraction of the great MV's: Warning, Manners, Dice, Blooming, Rinne, Yolo and do NOT forget the power ballad DAYDREAMING. "PLAY" is in my top 100 Band-Maid songs. Check out "Manners" official music video, that is a work of video art and a Rock masterpiece.....talk about good vibe. Note: there is a non-LIVE audience version labeled LIVE but it's not really, two-fer with Manners/No-God but you can watch that one later, the official music video will put this song in perspective.....never tie your shoes before you put them on. The only thing LIVE was they streamed it LIVE, but with no LIVE audience there is no real energy one can feel like in this PLAY LIVE.....IMHO Good Stuff Keep 'em comin'!

The interesting thing about this song is that it started out as an instrumental piece BUT, Saiki (lead singer) loved it so much she asked Miku to write lyrics to the music so that she could be a part of it - thus Play. There are a great number of songs recommended below but it depends if you're wanting to examine their music chronologically or just examine the most recommended. If I was to recommend a song it would be either Blooming or the twofer release of Manners and Black Hole. This gives you a sample of the range. Either way - Enjoy the Journey with the rest of us.
