Okay, it seems that it won't be available for the US market in that incarnation but can the car beat the Subaru Impreza STi as well as the Mitsubishi Evolution X?
@fordofeurope you say not in this "incarnation" does that mean we might see a US Focus RS in the United States, but not the RS500? Man I want the RS here in the new generation Focus coming this winter!!!
Am I the only one who has the feeling that the indoor sound of the motor doesn’t fit the video? To me it seems like always being the same sequence repeated and it doesn’t really fit the corners you see from the outside. Kinda strange...
@viasevenvai I think you would find it hard to find faults in a Focus RS if you got the chanse to drive, let alone on the Nurburgring. I have been lucky enough to test the Focus RS once, and in my opinion its a hothatch without fault. Some people complain about the interior, but i like it, its sporty, without being too flashy.
@Fludy676 I said the new one looks like a facelifted Fiesta, it obviously does, and it looks terrible. The Mk 2 Focus looks excellent, one of the best designs from Ford in recent history, maybe you need to go to specsavers.
it is so funny that people are asking is it available to us market and everybody saying they want one. First there is only 500 of this car and they sold out them in 6 hours.
@fordofeurope all i heard was good things, an opinion should be good AND bad, this is more of an advertisement. though i agree i wouldn't complain about much with this car.
I still don't see why Ford is replacing the current gen (imo the best generation) Focus with that international version. The design of it is terrible, none of the lines flow together, it looks as if they just face lifted a Fiesta, the Fiesta itself being a great car but definitely no Focus! I do hope Ford realizes their mistake in replacing such a brilliant Focus with such an ugly car. When I can afford it I'll definitely be buying one of this gen Focus's, long live the Ford RS!
@RogueAutomotive Ha ha a facelifted Fiesta.. Now that is a bullshit statement. If your mistaken a Focus for a Fiesta you need to go to specsavers. They have to keep there designs similar alright for obvious reasons but the Focus is definitly the Daddy. Its a thing of beauty. Why buy one if you think there terrible looking? If you buy a car you buy it because every part on that car turns you on. And you certainly dont bad mouth the car either. Buy yourself a micra and keep your mouth shut.
@mynamesmiked, point I was making is it isnt an american car whatsoever. as it isnt designed or made in america who cares who pays who. . suppose when ford use to own volvo that makes all the volvos american cars then.
@scoot24925 Mikko wasn't there to clock times: but to "meet" the RS500 and give his opinion of the drive and handling on this classic track.
@northieee This was not a "race" event just an opportunity for Mikko Hirvonen to "meet" the RS 500.

@scoot24925 The laps were not timed as far as I know.

the smile on his face at the end says everything
@RogueAutomotive i love all the Fords new and old. There is certainly nothing terrible about them. In any way.
Hey would you look at that! A good old US company FORD made a good sports car! I wonder how much this will cost in California.
@path1972 Not in this incarnation.

@fordofeurope thank u for replying ford....but where gonna be published the rs500 laptime in nordchiefe??
@scoot24925 Im agreed with you .. would be wonderful to know the time os the RS500 in Nordschliefe.
Would it be available in the US market? I'm curious though if this car can beat the Subaru Impreza STi as well as the Mitsubishi Evolution X...
what was the best laptimpe of that RS500??
Okay, it seems that it won't be available for the US market in that incarnation but can the car beat the Subaru Impreza STi as well as the Mitsubishi Evolution X?
I agree with northieee. He may not be racing but hes carrying significant speed around the track. I know Mikko has mad skills but better off safe.
@fordofeurope you say not in this "incarnation" does that mean we might see a US Focus RS in the United States, but not the RS500? Man I want the RS here in the new generation Focus coming this winter!!!
Is this car available in the U.S does anyone know?
Am I the only one who has the feeling that the indoor sound of the motor doesn’t fit the video? To me it seems like always being the same sequence repeated and it doesn’t really fit the corners you see from the outside. Kinda strange...

Beautiful. Good job Ford!

Oh sweet jesus the induction sound is fucking deadly
Uh, Mikko refers to how well it handles and reacts for a FWD car. I thought it was AWD! What's going on here? FWD or AWD???
@path1972
Strictly speed: 350bhp with FWD >>> 350bhp with AWD, let alone 300.
it is so funny that people are asking is it available to us market and everybody saying they want one. First there is only 500 of this car and they sold out them in 6 hours.
@larlar752000 Wouldnt say it had anything to do with america really. built in germany developed by brits.
very nice car, but eventually the ford should seriously consider putting the 500hp and four-wheel drive?
@fordofeurope all i heard was good things, an opinion should be good AND bad, this is more of an advertisement.
though i agree i wouldn't complain about much with this car.
nice volvo engine
On 500 made in Europe and all sold out
i looooooooove ford and i love mikko, but that music is bad :(

Hirvonen (1:39) "The sound is just amazing." --- Yet Ford go back to the shitty, soulless sound of a crappy 4-pot motor.

@wheeliehome Who were hired and payed by Ford of America
Look very boring vehicle indeed! drives like on the railroad. Fast i think but not fun.
TERRIBLE IS: FIAT; LANCIA; ALFA ROMEU
@path1972 Not in this incarnation.
