thos rs500 which is coming out surposivly going to have 350bhp which is 50 mre bhp, and its does sound like it gives out more of a grunt than the normal mk2 rs, i have also seen that it is ment to cost £35000 which is £10000 more than the original mk2 rs which i think is alot jst for a extra 50bhp when u can get tht out of the normal one for no were near the same price :D
@IHateOnPeopleHella your right dude, i dont have an idea why they didnt release this on other countries. i even have to ship a B-new focus RS in my country. but its was worth it. since i never got the chance to bid on one of this monster RS500. i choose to upgrade my current RS. K&N drop in filter, 3" inch milltek exhaust&pipings. bigger FMIC, and a bluefin remap system. now my car is around 390BHP. 45 more than the rs500. and it only cost me around 1500 euros to get and additional 85BHP.
@Reptar2 but isnt the WRC focus a 4WD car? it may handle differently on the corners. and also the take off the car. but its good point also. a tuned RS vs a rally breed RS. now thats one match up that will boggle ever1's mind lol
@IHateOnPeopleHella you can actually ship an RS in the gray market in your country. ebay sells alot of pre-owned RS's. but the cost of that shipping it on the gray market is that, it wont be registered as a local car and a imported car. but if you have a few strings in the shpping agency, im sure you can get an focus RS for around 30k euros, including the tax.
Mikko seems like a really nice down to earth person. Personally i think fords latest designs for the focus are spot on. Its a beautifull lookin car. The matt finish cover over the paint is the cherry on the cake. Four wheel drive be a safer option but that drive shaft under your ass seriously effects performance and fuel consumption. If your any good of a pilot at all fwd or awd shoundn really effect you. And fuck top gear and there reviews. Let the people decide.
@flowbroerhan Exactly, cause they are cool. We don't really have good hatchbacks in the States. If you want a fast car on a budget you get a Mustang or Camaro. They are cool, but then you end up spending a lot on gas and anytime it snows you have to go about 5 mph or you spin lol
@flowbroerhan Yea I have a Corvette. Much rather have that than the RS. In it's class though, I feel that it is far superior to any production hot hatch available in the States
Looks really sweet, but why can't they simply put a 4wd on it. With the RS500 model i thought, finally they must have realised that for it to compete with they EVO's and STi's they must put a 4wd drive on it. I would imagin that everyone that are looking into buying this kind of car wants to come as close as the WRC cars, and by excluding the 4wd i think Ford is shooting themselves in the foot.. If they were to drop one of these with 4wd i might acutally consider buying one.
@simonmw3 There are many cars on the market that have huge horsepower and are not good day to day cars. But considering that Top Gear has a hard on for this car, your comment fails.
@ASirensSoliloquy ahh yes but the RS500 (when they were available) were far more affordable than the Ferrari!!! And would have been driven harder and more often (the Ferrari) would have been in a show garage most of its life.....or being polished in someones garage everyday and never driven! So the Ford Focus RS500 on balance is the better buy!!
@MovieMad007 Aghhh I hate hearing about nice cars like Ferrari's that sit there and aren't driven. If I had a 458 I would drive that thing like I stole it. Why else are they built? Seriously.
I bought this car from new as i have always been a ford enthusiast, my second car was a mk1 escort RS turbo, and since then i have owned every Ford RS badge'd car made after that. Anyone considering buying an RS 500 beware as it has massive amounts of torque steer, its not to bad on flat roads but on country roads that are cambered it pulls all over the road under acceleration. Also rattles from car interior was very annoying and large turbo lag which was hard to get rid of no matter what upgrade i done, a very nice car to look at but there are many Japanese performance cars you can buy secondhand at half the price of the RS 500 that drive a lot better.
Errr.... so this video is saying the best thing about the 350bhp RS500 is that it drives just like a car with 100hp??? Well done Ford - you've made driving boring for rich people too!
@MovieMad007 It really is. To think Veyrons sit idle, never moving is blasphemous. This, besides the pleasure and luxury of owning exotics, drives me to become wealthy and purchase these kinds of vehicles. I will drive them how they are meant to be driven! Shame on you damn collector's! You insult the very thing you collect!!!
look at his smile at 0:51 when he pushes the throttle little bit :)

I love this car in green

Great car, but i hope the next RS is a 4wd
It is!

@JRStow focus is creation of ford europe division, so basically focus in us is import :D

This guy reminds me of Elvis...from profile view. Nice car!
i thought he was older!
@TheProvobaby Try yourself with RS500 on some corners, You will see
Better driver than road tester
@JRStow you realize the only reason the focus exist is because of imports?
@DerHardstyler12 The not normal thing is,that ferrari was not burning!!!!
At least the last 10 seconds of this vid are good!
Looks really sweet, but why can't they simply put a 4wd on it.

@ASirensSoliloquy Exactly my thoughts!! You must be a psychic!! But its a sad fact of life isn't it, nice cars just beeing kept under covers?
@simonmw3

sounds nice but not as good sound as the volvo T5, the focus exhasuts look good for it but doesnt make the best of noise :/

2:10 it's the best part of the video
458 italia at 2:11
sounds nice but i dot think it sounds as good as the actual T5 volvo :/
@fordofeurope
FW.... not realy RW.... that is the powerfullste FW car in the world!
You can get the normal ford focus rs upgraded by ford to 350bhp for £1995, and its not aftermarket or it doesent invalidate the waranty. Bargain.!
cheer up Mikko, you're in an rs500! lol
@sslaziomad my mother is from italy..im born in england,im not german..bye :D
@scoot24925 2:08
lol the Focus RS is good. Until that 458 drives by.
