My last 3 cars were E46 M3, 535 bi turbo and Merc CLK. I currently run a stock 2009 Focus ST and can honestly say it's the best all rounder i've ever had. Interior's a bit basic but the Recaros are incredibly comfortable and the performance is great. Think there will be an increase in people putting an end to their badge snobbery and moving away from BMW Audi etc.. partly because they just aren't exclusive anymore and partly because of the high prices. I'd recommend a top end Ford to anyone.
Thanx for your great comment.I love the focus st and rs since they were made, but havent got any money to buy one. Today i'm 46 years old and i just buy an ST since 3 weeks and like you said, those cars are better than audi,bmw,etc...for the price! This car make me happy each day! I'm like a teen just discovered pleasure to drive! I love FORD forever!
One of my mates is one of the lucky 500. Needless to say he can't keep out of it! Ford have kept 12 apparently, and I also hear Jeremy Clarkson owns one.
@vapour80 Yeah I was surprised as we got the Euro Focus in sedan trims and ST model since MY2007. I got myself a 2009 but it wasn't a ST or RS, only a sedan with the Sport package and I heard about the Focus RS coming here but I never thought I'd be able to see one (only 100 per year were imported here from Germany) until I got my car to the dealership for routine maintenance. A great machine
@vapour80 Actually a few hundred 2010 and 2011 MY Focus RS hit North America. They were available in Mexico (which is part of North America) and they costed almost 40k.
@mattdu80 i never said the rs was awd. i said for the money of the rs500 you can buy a standard focus and CONVERT it to awd using sierra saphire cosworth running gear, tune the engine to 400-500bhp and still have money left over. all so the focus st225 is turbocharged.
@jayrsuk ok but just saying we have high octane fuel at stations here, 112 is only costing 9.99 a gallon (how much is 99 a liter over there?) America doesn't use huge engines to compensate for power, and when did a v12 become smaller than a v8?
@jayrsuk thats the thing, we have different variants of cars like that and they have their own fallowing here thats what i dont get. like for example. i live is Southwest Louisiana, and i want a Mini Cooper S D, but they wont sell the diesel here
Please bring the regular RS over to America, Ford. There is a market here for these cars, I'm willing to lay down a note instantly if they are brought over. I just don't want to go through the trouble of importing one if it isn't completely necessary.
I've seen several of the RS models here in Detroit. Shame is that they are company cars :( None for retail. But hey, we got the fiesta, so take that as a sign of good things to come :P
Just wondering if they drag race them cars to shipping yard they do in the states they are built in my town an when they hit the highway it is 0 MPH to what ever for a half mile to yard think bad way to brake in maybe love the car though.
Can some1 please tell me if they know if there is actually 512 of these cars. I know there was 500 production cars but before the car was officially released there was "press release" cars each labelled pr1-12, just wondering if these 12 are included in the 500 or is there actually 512?. I know ford kept PR 1 and i think PR 2..
@S14zenki it IS here.. i just went to a ford dealer and asked.. its a $5k deposit (non-refundable but goes towards the car when you buy it).. its a special order vehicle.. and its cheaper then the STI (im an STI fan ,used to own an 05 STI, and im thinkin of gettin the RS next) (it has nothing to do with Block moving to ford)
@vapour80 with your emission laws etc i dont think u will ever c a hardcore RS most likely a watered down version...its the same with all hot hatchs or performance cars in america...i dont beleave u get the civic type r ova there i think u guys get the type sport or again a watered down version, theve been bangin on about introducing the rs to america but the RS is a british and euopean icon just like the escot and seierra cosworths,so frankly i dont think they will ever bring it to america...
@bmob01 112 bloodyhell my shell garage does 99vpower and most perfomance garges onley go as high as 105....thought america has low octane fuels hence thats why u dont get the high powered perfomance cars which the uk and the rest of europe get 95 is the owest u get here 95,97,99 is standard in the uk
i dont get why people are upset these are sold out when they cost £35000. you could just buy a normal focus have converted to awd and a cosworth engine tune the engine to 400-500bhp and still have money left over.
Not that yanks cant drive its the fact that our traffic system isnt on the same scale as yours. Over here were about high horse power straight line racing. I hope they do bring a production model of atleast the ST to Canada at the least. I own a sport compact that puts 350whp, but id rather drive something that comes straight from factory with numbers that are impressive. Needless to say i'd drivea ST over my 06 SS LSJ cobalt Turbo'd.
@x1pyroveride i think it boils down to wud u pay £30.000 pounds for 1 dont know wat that is in dollers but i think thats wat ford america are afraid of..and any ford with an RS badge will sell in england as well as in the rest of europe cuz its such an icon over here,as were the escort, seierra cosworths especially as WRC rally is massive over here and thats wat these cars are they will always sell, america are more for there v8 etc not 2 or 2.5 turbos.....
@ckeith1987 The Focus RS 500 and the standart RS are not AWD... And even if you did get a cossie or the turbo 5 cylinder volvo engine, you'd still have to install better suspension, better brakes, that clever front diff', but it won't be a RS and it would certainly not drive like an RS anyway... If you want a reasonable fast ford buy an ST, still has 5 cylinders but no turbos, and it looks good to.
Hey. FORD company,i have a recommendation for you, next time when you make AWESOME sport cars like RS500, PLEASE make it ALL WHEEL drive, not front wheel drive...It will be devil on road.
@StaySkyHigh90 People did that with skittles hell underpowered civics. Same could even be said with extremely overpriced super cars. Just cause you can afford it doesn't mean you are qualified to drive it like a tool. As much as I wish I had my car now back when I started driving I wasn't ready for it. Responsibility nor insurance.
@tonylaguna Who cares, anyway most Japanese factories assemble boring cars. BTW: Germany has some of the most advanced factories in the world, this video shows only a bit of that factory which is far from being primitive

The Job of my dreams!!! The most beautiful car in Europe!
Entstehung einer Schönheit! Das ist so ein geiles Gerät!
One of my mates is one of the lucky 500. Needless to say he can't keep out of it!
Ford have kept 12 apparently, and I also hear Jeremy Clarkson owns one.
I've sat in 1 of 3 RS in the usa and one for the only ST registered here. One at SEMA and the other at a focus event in Carlisle PA
Makes it look like a video game with the wrap on the track!
@vapour80
Yeah I was surprised as we got the Euro Focus in sedan trims and ST model since MY2007. Ein Traum..... ♥. Warum wurde ich nicht früher geboren.
Dafür hab ich den 2.0 mit 145 PS in der Ghia-Ausstattung. Und der zieht schon richtig. 😊
Love the Matt Finish 💖💖💖
What's not to like about this video? I'm not even a Ford but this car rocks!
So can you not peel the vinyl off and have a glossy black one?
@Nayr747 its less than that, but you can remove the vinyl and expose the shinny black new paint that has been protected by the vinyl
The RS 500 is vinyled?! So if you buy one, every few years you have to take it somewhere to get re-vinyled for $6000 or so?
@vapour80
Actually a few hundred 2010 and 2011 MY Focus RS hit North America. They were available in Mexico (which is part of North America) and they costed almost 40k.
I'm even more impressed knowing its a sticker instead of a matt paint...
That must be a hell of a sticker...XD
1:22 - Tyres are "Please don't let me go on the front"
:-)
O
Aa
Yg
@Mrakssey actually it has 349 hp .....the 500 stands for 500 pieces (are made) and you cant get 500 hp from regular focus RS just by "chipping" it
I'd personally peel that crap off. It looks gorgeous with a shine!
I like the Matt Wrap look for the 500's but now I've seen them in gloss black it's giving me the horn!
They should have left it black
@mattdu80 i never said the rs was awd. i said for the money of the rs500 you can buy a standard focus and CONVERT it to awd using sierra saphire cosworth running gear, tune the engine to 400-500bhp and still have money left over. all so the focus st225 is turbocharged.
looks way better with out the wrap!
@MrCooltoni i wonder if its easier to clean then the regular matte black.
@jayrsuk ok but just saying we have high octane fuel at stations here, 112 is only costing 9.99 a gallon (how much is 99 a liter over there?) America doesn't use huge engines to compensate for power, and when did a v12 become smaller than a v8?
i thought it was paint, learn something new every day
@jayrsuk thats the thing, we have different variants of cars like that and they have their own fallowing here thats what i dont get. like for example. i live is Southwest Louisiana, and i want a Mini Cooper S D, but they wont sell the diesel here
VOLVO ENGINE YESSSS

What's that film the put over the car at the end ?
Just wondering if they drag race them cars to shipping yard they do in the states they are built in my town an when they hit the highway it is 0 MPH to what ever for a half mile to yard think bad way to brake in maybe love the car though.
Believe it or not it is the best way to really ensure the piston rings are fully seated and broken in. The first run of the motor is crucial.
Oh man that or the golf R.... 2016 will be a very good year for hot hatches....
im in love!
How much money is involved in building an assembly plant and to manufacture an automobile?
Do I smell a new Ultimate Factories episode?
Can some1 please tell me if they know if there is actually 512 of these cars. dear Santa....
@brammer80 i think you can take off the vinly
The best epic one ever ~
Gonna have to test drive one of these if it ever comes here :)
correction.... WHEN IT COMES HERE
I like that matte black and btw. that vinyl installed costs more than painting that car, so it's quite far from "cheapass" :)
@MrCooltoni It's called carwrapping... If you don't like the wrap you can take it back off ;)
I LIKE IT FORD IS STEPING NICE.
einfach nur genial
very nice color ! on very nice car !!
Personally, I preferred the matt black finish on the RS 500s.
@vapour80 with your emission laws etc i dont think u will ever c a hardcore RS most likely a watered down version...its the same with all hot hatchs or performance cars in america...i dont beleave u get the civic type r ova there i think u guys get the type sport or again a watered down version, theve been bangin on about introducing the rs to america but the RS is a british and euopean icon just like the escot and seierra cosworths,so frankly i dont think they will ever bring it to america...
so they first painted it jet black(which looks awesome btw) then they shrink wrapped it with matte black? sounds fairly stupid.
what is the name of this song please ?
@S14zenki because in US they like big engines with low power :)
@barqsoldetyme Cars are cheaper in America than they are in Europe. It would probably sell for about $30K in the US.
@malakos85 not only that but it would also save weight!
the brakes are abit small aint they?
@S14zenki Because the RS starts at $42,000 USD, and Americans just won't pay that for a Focus.
Traumhaft ^^
@kolesidisgiannis its go faster film didnt u kno?
@bmob01 112 bloodyhell my shell garage does 99vpower and most perfomance garges onley go as high as 105....thought america has low octane fuels hence thats why u dont get the high powered perfomance cars which the uk and the rest of europe get 95 is the owest u get here 95,97,99 is standard in the uk

It still is.
I drove this car in Poland. Revelation
RS 500 made in under 2 minutes?! Fair play
Not that yanks cant drive its the fact that our traffic system isnt on the same scale as yours. Over here were about high horse power straight line racing. We are happy with the Shelby GT 500.
its already been done

GREAT CAR!
i would love to work here
I think it looked better in gloss black than with the wrap on.
@waldhaus9988 the 500 stands for the 500 limited rs500's
Fuck man it looks so sick! So how come these aren't in the USA?
Ferrari360Spyder Illegal car in the US :)
@ckeith1987 The Focus RS 500 and the standart RS are not AWD... 👍🔥
stupendaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa la vojoooooo
0:46 FORD KUGA!
@vapour80
Well it sounds like you are luckier than me!
It's a nightmare to wash that matt foil...too much trouble for that +50hp. The regular RS looks like a better choice!
Newmachar is geting one
So this is how babies are made?
Sweeeeet Ride =]
Ford, you have to produce ST and Red cars in the future . You can’t move to electric only 😢😢
Hey. FORD company,i have a recommendation for you, next time when you make AWESOME sport cars like RS500, PLEASE make it ALL WHEEL drive, not front wheel drive...It will be devil on road.
That's a big engine..
Nice
@Gungrave123 and if a man doesn't like crappy German Made vehicles with electric problems?
@RYEALLEN it was a very good car............in its day
Y U NO SELL IN AMERICA
it looks awesome without the film
@waldhaus9988
takes more than a 'chip' to get that power
i thought that they painted it matt black butt now i see that it's a vinyl
*Wow, black paint (glossy) is so sexy. n_n!
pity that in Brazil a focus rs sells for more than 80,000 dollars :L
Ford Germany American Factory 🇺🇸🇩🇪
@MeLikeGoFast good twisty roads, good cars but yeah just about everything else is shite ha
HANG ON ! isnt there a NEW FOCUS RS coming with a stuipd hybrid engine,2012/2013
looks much nicer in gloss than in the wrap, whats all this matt look about!! looks shit plus its super hard to keep clean
@tonylaguna
Who cares, anyway most Japanese factories assemble boring cars.
BTW: Germany has some of the most advanced factories in the world, this video shows only a bit of that factory which is far from being primitive
@S14zenki they probably want real car enthusiasts to have this car, not posers or straight line warriors
want one
FOCUS RS 500 PRODUCTION CASTEL
lol I hate it when the factory glues the spoiler kits on with sikaflex
