@@JoFerCha just bought my 2nd v6 stang with 140k miles. Spent about 5500 for it. Been doing the basics to make sure she’s primed and ready as my daily/summer chill car. Mine is a 05 premium auto. I prefer my previous 07 stick shift but I only sold it because I wanted something else. Regretted that decision shortly after and a few years later I about the 05. These cars are solid. Higher mileage is always a risk if they aren’t properly taken care of and if the car has over 150k miles be careful. Look for the thermostat housing, fluid, checks, and get a tune up for your own security. A transmission fluid change runs about 400 usd. The worst case scenario is replacing a timing chain. There’s 2 on these stands and they run almost 3k. They say they last a lifetime but that’s up to typically 200k miles before the chain makes a terrible noise
Bought a 2008 V6 with 56K miles on it in Dec 2020 for $6K. The engine, transmission, and diff were okay... but it did have other issues. Mostly wear and tear items that were made cheaply by Ford at the time. About $4500 later in repairs/replacements, the car runs very well and looks great. For what it is, its' fun to drive.
