I find it funny how Jay, despite being the black templar guy, grabbed a white scars for knee size reference
You're brave. I swear Golden Demon staff dropkick entries into the cabinets, attach the cabinets to paint shakers, load the paint shakers onto the back of a professional wrestler, send the professional wrestler through a flaming table, and only then will the judges be summoned.
I highly, highly, highly recommend covering up that massive screw. My eye goes to that instantly, and for Golden Demon they are not going to overlook that. Maybe covering it in a dark ruddy resin mixture to further sell the water effect, or putting a piece of terrain in there and blending it into the water?
You really need to do something with that big ol screw in the foot, as least paint it black so it doesn't stand out as much! Other than that he's looking absolutely magnificent!
I spent 6 months painting an Albion Truthsayer with a brush that had pretty much 5 hairs. That was a long, long time ago and even though I was really happy with it at the time it did bugger all to help my painting speed. Nice looking Titan mate, I appreciate the fact you paint armies really cleanly. I'm still trying to get my confidence up with just finishing the damned models in the first place.
I don't even care for Warhammer 40K specifically, but your passion for your craft always makes these videos a joy to watch. <3
You've got to fix the bolt that's attaching the foot to the base, Jay. Golden Daemon won't like it. That right there could very well be what causes you to NOT get a finalist pin.
He's definitely gonna be on the bottom shelf of the glass cabinets 😂
Friendly tip for those "quick" epoxies: The time listed is an estimated WORKING time, not a CURING time. It generally means that, for example, a 5 minute epoxy, is that you have roughly 5 minutes to work with it as a smooth glue-like consistency before the curing process kicks in and it starts getting goopy and spider-webbing. It still takes hours for it to fully cure to full strength.
You need to fix the bolt under the foot somehow
Dude, this type of art is PHENOMENAL. You literally went all out on this one and the details are amazing. Like, I would expect this to be amongst the top contenders at Golden Demon just for how much effort you put into it and it has paid off STUNNINGLY.
That sounds ridiculously general, like a 'Hey, I certainly had problems with the mail already. Let's send a seven-pound table-top war machine across the county' - Jay idea.
Ooh boy more titan stuff! If I may, I think it'd be cool to have a Legions Imperialis/Adeptus Titanicus Reaver titan done identically to the large lad
It is actually amazing to watch you evolve and become better artist.
I'm pretty sure they'll ding you for that massive bolt under Stompy's left foot. Maybe adding some of that epoxy resin over it to make a pillar of water and hitting it with that same transparent amber would help.
Man, you are such a talented painter. It makes me want to improve my own skills, which as of right now are just the bare minimum getting models combat ready. You get your models
It looks awesome! Good luck with the competition - you should be very proud of your excellent work.
I just love the waves of nerdish joy he brings to his projects. He makes his show awesome!!
i like your skill i just started airbrushing my army is a 1500 pt tau slowly adding to it but been painting these models for years adding more detail every time its a good time killer
