I'd like to imagine that Sword Of The Jedi (the cancelled trilogy of novels dedicated to Jaina) would have had Ahsoka, 100 years old or something, show up to help and guide Jaina and Ben (Skywalker), one to become the founder of Imperial Knights, along with her husband Jag (hence why they carry white lightsabers like Ahsoka) and the other to be the next lead of the New Jedi Order. Hell, even use it as an occasion to redo her story during the Empire within the EU contnuity (She went on the fragment of Malachor V containing the ruins of Trayus Academy, but it was all a trap by both Vader and Maul and she narrowly escapes, with no Kanan or Ezra), then she went on some remote system on the fringes of Wild Space, where she stood meditating and living in peace with the Force, maybe finding other Order 66 survivors like K'Khruk (explaining why he shows up in the Legacy comics, 130 years after the OT).
But I'm just tripping here.....

At 5'1" she disproved Obi-Wan Kenobi's highground theory everytime she slew another Sith. I loved every moment of it too.
Further Jaina never had anything handed to her she struggled and lost many many times. She failed many times, lost an early quisi-boyfriend to the darkside, lost a brother in a war, lost a guardian in that same war, had her twin be captured as a prisoner of war only to return falling to the darkside, nearly fell to the darkside herself and had to have friends help her back, was forced to defend her family from her fallen twin brother, was always messing up her love life and threw herself into defending others to hide her pain, lost her master to her brother murdering her, then was forced to kill her brother because he went with, then spent years trying to save her youngest brothers surviving girlfriend from being executed because her other brother manipulated her into becoming his apprentice. Jaina Solo was always struggling and learning from her relatable failures. She didn't even become a Jedi Master until her mid 30s because Masterhood was more than just skills but the wisdom to wield it properly. Jaina Solo was more cursed by her Skywalker lineage but with help overcame it, she was always respected by Jedi for her powers but she got no easy ride because of who her uncle or mother was. She earned her status unlike today's derivative character based upon her (at least in part) Rey.
I've never meet a reader of the novels she appeared in who didn't like Jaina. All Star Wars book readers loved her.

Fortunately despite Disneys poor decision not to reinstate the EU books (and failure to reflect them in a rebooted Sequel Trilogy after first failing to reflect them in TFA and TLJ) the GL Era EU and its characters are what is actually Canon not the Star Wars Garbage Disneys Created since 2012 instead. The horrid and unsalvagable Rey, Rose and Admiral Holdo dont count and the always great Jaina does. Jainas one of the finest characters in Star Wars female or otherwise (a Well Written Heroine with flaws).

Nomi and Vima are some of my favs too. The comics, books and games were so interconnected there. You can jump in nearly anywhere and find connections to other stuff. You didn't HAVE to read or play it all, but the more you got in the richer a universe you found. It proves they were all one continuous universe. I grew up reading the books, growing as the Solo Kids did. She's always felt like a sister to me because of that.
It took Decades to build that kind of character, I don't think Lucas Arts can do it again.

Can you imagine how beautiful the original stories would have played out in the cinemas? Star Wars would be awe striking and inspiring, Disney and Lucasfilm would be rich, hardcore fans would be thrilled and Star Wars would be brought back for another generation to love....

Jaina is my all time favorite Jedi, second only to Kyle Katarn. Both of whom happen to be EU characters...
Some of my absolute favorite things from Star Wars came from the EU, and I'll never forgive Disney for denouncing all of it.
Yet curiously this whole Kylo and Rey thing feels somewhat like a discount Caedus and Jaina story, except a thousand times duller and with far less depth.

If I was to play devil's advocate, the cancelled and discredited series that the cannon series replaced was a racist white power fantasy. In addition, the character rights would have cost Disney money to use, so better as Kylo said "let the past die, kill it if you have to." which is exactly what they did in the name of inclusveness, diversity, and profit. The demographic who the EU apealed to is a dying one, literally. There is no room in the future for white power fantasies, especially when China is the target demographic.

I like Jaina and her master Mara Jade I did hope to see movies of her but I do accept that the trilogy we got is what we have to deal with I do feel Rey, Poe and Finn had potential if lucasfilm built up the characterization better but hey oh what we got and I Hope Rise Of Skywalker can correct the trilogy, but Cannot really change this trilogy. But I do hope that Jaina will appear in Disney timeline and Book story's become canon.

I have to strongly agree, it's extremely disappointing that we never got an official trilogy revolving around Jaina and her life, she's such a unique and interesting character, not to mention, despite her being sadly non-canon, she's my fourth favorite character. As a hardcore star wars fan since 2012, I absolutely despised the sequel trilogy due to its presence of plot holes, pointless new characters, and making our original characters unlikeable. I also want to mention that the sequel trilogy drifted me away from star wars, it wasn't until when COVID came, that's when I became a star wars fan again, I didn't know about legends till this year, but reading the books made me like star wars a lot more, and making me hate the sequel trilogy, and pretending it never existed, even more.

Yeah Rey is just a rip off of Jaina Solo and Kyle is a rip off of Jacen Solo that's just my assessment also great video RK. It would have been all to easy for Disney to take the Expanded universe and make that the basis for the sequel trilogy. If they had done that they would be making BILLIONS very easily and the merchandise would have been literally FLYING off the shelves, but Disney lost their smarts when Walt died that's just my assessment.
