If you remove too much of the iconic landscape from the Magic Kingdom, then it will no longer feel like the Magic Kingdom. That is a major problem because the primary appeal of that park is nostalgia.
Every attraction in Disneyland is a legacy attraction that a bunch are going to complain if they change it. But they have to be able to update the attractions in order to compete. And I'm saying this as someone who was thoroughly upset when they got rid of the country bear jamboree, way before woke crap took over. Fact is, I grew up in SoCal - and I don't know anyone who ever rushed to ride the boat around the island, even 40 years ago. It was always a 'cheap land filler' for the park - and it makes sense to actually put something exciting there, instead. The problem isn't Disney upgrading - the problem is the current uncreative people in charge of the company. Any other time in history, and there wouldn't be even a 1/10 of the people complaining. The culture war is blinding to both sides. NONE of their competition has to worry about tearing something down to put something else in. It doesn't exist in other amusement parks - that they're competing with. And they have attractions that are 60 years old. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. lol
That’s true. If the replacements end up being well implemented, then people will forgive the changes, but modern Disney’s track record is questionable at best.
I like Samsung phones more cuz they are more fun and have better screens but there is no debate that iPhone gets priority development thus most apps run better on iPhone as well as the general OS is a smoother experience. They last longer as well
