It is truly the best detailed demonstration of how to perform the procedure I've seen on TH-cam yet keep up the great work looking forward to more of your videos. THANKS
Thanks, will do . Glad to have helped out in some way
Bro, thank you so much for this video. Just finished the job! Have a 2011 Max with 320,000 miles!
Your welcome I'm glad to help out
Original CVT ????
Whaaaaaat??!👀👀😳I'm over here sweating 171K!!!
@Mark Stetson
How did it make to 300k??? My maxima is raggedy at 130k!!!
This video is the schittt
Where does the vacuum hose that goes in the back attaches to?
Had the same issue with the same cylinder, I opted to change all 3 coil packs and gaskets while I was back there.
Thanks for making this video, definitely was very helpful!
Your welcome glad I could help out!
“Just because it looks different it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with it” ✊🏿
That’s what she said
Man I really appreciate you taking the time to show this process I have a 11 with 95,000 miles I'm still in good shape as far as tune up but it will nees it eventually again thank you for your time and experience
No problem glad I could help out in any way .
Too late for me. I changed all my spark without seeing this video. First bottom spark plugs took me 15 minutes to change out. The top spark plugs took me like 2 hours and another putting it back. This video would have helped me a lot this is a great video, whish I would have seen this video earlier.
Good thing I found this video . I just bought a 2010 maxima with 98k and it needs new spark plugs . Got everything on order from Rock auto . Gasket , spark plugs and a PCV . Wish me luck .
Awesome man glad to have helped , goodluck on the job
Just did my daughters 2008 Maxima. Easier than what this looks. Now I chuckle at when they leave the hard parts out. LOL I used those same type plugs, anything with those needle tips, I don't gap.
Thank you very much for making this video I was able to change my coils and sparkplugs
Your very welcome glad I could help out!
Swivel 10 or baby ratchet for that back bolt…Muthafudge cake lol
Also, that bottom of the intake box, in my car, is connected to a pipe that’s not connected to anything. I know what it is now but boyyyy that shyt had me bout to cry lol
Hey brother thanx for the extra knowledge on auto always gd to kw. ! Ok I hve the same car. 2009 Maxima. My passenger hydrolic motor mount is being replaced I need the specs torque so I won’t over tighten it Ty
I use forms or google to find the specs for everything I do . There should be something on there for that
Great video, I was wondering is there a bolt tightening pattern and a torque spec. for this job ?
If I did not mention it in the video I'm not exactly sure.
You might be able to find something offline for it just for the intake torque bolt pattern but I would just like everything down tight in a crisscross pattern
How Much You Charge For That Job, Spark Plugs And Coil Pack Job On That Same Model Car That Is ? And What Parts Of NC You Around ?
Great Work By The Way !
I'm like 30 min to a hour from Charlotte . This job here my labor just itself was around $150 .
This woman right here is about to change plugs and possibly coil in my POS maximizer (well engine itself isn’t really a POS but the car looks like one cause the clear coat has faded, dash has essentially melted, etc.)
Awesome I'm glad to hear that , glad I could help out
Yeah very common for the paint failure and dash to be sticky or kinda change for ones I've seen
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I wish they would recall paint and dash. I know they recalled the dash in FL but I’m in GA 🙄 theres not any seals around the front and back windshield and the ones around sunroof and doors suck so it leaks in a hard rain.
@@emilyb5106 wow yeah they honestly should and yeah I'm down here in NC
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I know you want to take a 2-3 hour road trip and come on down to help me … right?? 😩 lol. I’ve got a little taken a part but I had to quit cause I had to research more videos and came across yours so I’m about to go back at it.
gonna do this on a 2011 maxima in about a week, thanks for posting did u torque the intake bolts or just "snug" the bolts tight? I got 135000 mi on the original plugs-runs great with no problems. Your video is gonna help, thanks for posting...
Awesome glad could help out. Yeah I actually Googled the torque specs for the bolts
I got my plugs and coils changed out a few days ago, its running like a champ-your video was helpful
@@jcravatt1 that's good glad i could help out .
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 how many ft lbs was it ? Theres all kinds of info out there its misleading
Hey man I have a 09 maxima that had a cylinder 4 misfire upon disassembly I saw that cylinder 4 ignition coil was burnt and I replaced it along with new spark plugs on all cylinders the rest of the ignition coils appeared to be fine so I didn’t replace them all. But after a day of running of perfect with no misfires the service light came back on with a random cylinder misfire along with cylinder 3 so I took it all back apart and now the ignition coils for cylinder 1 and 3 are burnt. Any idea what could be causing it before I throw new coils at it?
Probably getting too hot or maybe they had cracks or something to them when you took them out I'm not sure . Was their any oil on them or anything and I also would put some Dielectric grease in each one of the boots before you install them that's what I do on all cars that I've done tune ups
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 no oil
Awesome video man thanks a lot!
I do have a question tho. If you go to time (15.16) that black hard plastic hose with the 90 on one end that’s by your windshield top right of screen. I know that the 90 end connects to intake at the bottom with hose clamp. But the other end i have no idea where it goes . When I was taking it apart that part was very loose as if it wasn’t connected to anything on the other side
The problem that autozone suspects it is is the ignition coil on cylinder 3. The car was sputtering, made the front wheels shake a lot. Sounds and feels like crap when you accelerate. The vehicle does turn on and run it just sounds really bad.
Then it's misfireing ? If that's the case
Yeah it’s a misfire. I just replaced all coils and spark plugs and replaced some of fuel injection hoses cause they were brittle ... still having same issue
@@martinvega968 could be a fuel injector screwing up on that one cylinder an casuing that misfire
This helped alot
Sweet , I'm Glad I was able to help in some way
My 2009 maxima hesitates after I replaced my plugs for some reason. I gapped my plugs like a rookie and I touched the inside of it. Could the be the issue?
Thank you for make the video is help a lot
Your welcome glad I could help!
What socket was used to take out the plugs?
Honestly I believe I told in the video what I used on it .
Anyone know of trusted ignition coils brands for this car specifically the oem ones are so expensive
The ones in the video are still doing great on it . Car has alot more miles now and been many long car trips sence then
Why when I charged one of the coils mine still has a higher idle
Really helpful man thanks 🤙
Np glad I could help out!!
Hi I replaced all of my coils and plugs this way now my Maxima wont start at all. When I go to start it, it wants to go but it wont fully start up. Almost feels like it wants more gas but when I give it more it really wants to start up but it doesn't. What do you think?
Something isn't right you could left something unplugged or off . Try unhooking the battery for few and then back up and see if it will run
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 not running. It's sputtering. Is it possible I torqued down the plugs too hard?
That shouldn't cause it not to run tho . There's something else wrong
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 weirdest thing. Now I got it running think a vacuum lime wasn't all the way on, but it's throwing a p0300 now as opposed to a p0303 which it threw originally. Any insight?
I'm assuming that's multiple cylinder misfire I don't remember on this vehicle and if so then could have a bad new plug or bad coil or maybe wasn't plugged in good not sure hard to say
My spark plug wired went bad, do you know how to change those?
Yeah those aren't hard to do at all .
Thanks for posting!
Your welcome glad could help
Hi is there way for me to contact you? I need this done and how far are you from Greensboro?
I'm at least almost 2 hours away!
Dude I don't even keep my cover on, is that a bad idea? I figured it's just more heat trapping I don't need living in the Mohave desert... The dust still gets all up underneath it, so I don't get the reason for that top cover unless for aesthetics only... What am I missing
Lol
Honesty if your talking about the top covers you don't have to keep them I call them the dummy Beauty covers they really are for show an make everything look nice.
I can hear the CVT whining when you started the car , which means it's on its way out , too bad nissan doesn't fix its CVT problem and extend the warranty on it
Yeah a few month's later the onwer brings it back for saod noise an was way worse especially when you get on it . Told him to sell it now before it goes completely causs he already has the timing chain noise on start up an that needs fixing too
I can hear that whining noise on my 2011 when I take turns and get on it. 70k and haven’t done a cvt flush and fill yet. Planning on trying it or just moving on totally. I bought it for 11.5k four years ago. The market is so high I can STILL get 10.5k trade in! Thinking of a Lexus GS350 AWD
You sound like Christian Slater. Lol. Thanks for posting this
Lol thanks buddy , an no problem glad to help out thanks for watching!
Did you have to do a throttle relearn?
After everything that was done in this video ? No shouldn't need that at all .
When I push the gas I can hear a loud hissing sound coming from my engine it's like something in the back I have the same exact car or do this car his a vacuum sound to it I was listening to the car when u start it up sound like vacuum
could be a vacoum leak somewhere then hard to say
What if my plugs were already replaced?
If you're having a misfire and you already had a tune up meaning just spark plugs replaced . Than it's probably a bad ignition coil
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 thought so thanks
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
👏👏👏
Thank you!
I did everything right I thing know I have a brake problem. No brakes pressure
Has to be a leak in the hose that goes to the intake then to the brake booster
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I had the brake booster line and another line on the intake booster mix up lmao what a dummy am I.
Hey it happens but it's fixed so that's good
Get to the point
