What a colorful sketchbook! I am just beginning and can hardly wait until I can draw and paint so skillfully.
Love the shoes and chairs the most, but all really good to see and to hear your descriptions. I find this very helpful. Museum sketch i love too!

I love the first version of the painting at 4:02 while both look very similar, I love the darkness and texture of the granulating paints with pen lines. This sketchbook tour was really lovely, it looks like the Hahnemuhle really worked well!

Nice work Teoh! Your art is inspiring to someone like me who's figuring out how to be good at watercoloring. You have a good eye for picking the right colours when watercoloring
Just don't use too many colours or it will get confusing fast

Tiffany's almost one year old. She's learning to stand on her own now, and she's very noisy. She gets excited easily.

Teoh, do you prefer sketching out with watercolor first and then adding ink detail later or drawing ink or pencil first and then adding color? I've tried both ways. Very different results.
I usually sketch with pen, then colour with watercolour. I only use pencils for very complicated scenes. Using different medium will let you think differently. It's fun.
I know this question is irrelevant to this video but i watched many of your active stylus pen reviews. I want too buy the galaxy tab s4 but i really don't like the s pen... It's too light and even tho i think it's supposed to support tilt you can't really tilt it... Unlike apple pencil. Can you tell me if there's a replacement pen you suggest that it's most close to apple pencil? Thanks.
The only other alternative is the Staedtler Noris Digital. The S Pen from Tab S3 is better. Much thicker.

How do you think the paper compares to the Moleskine watercolor books (new version) or to Stillman & Birne (beta/zeta)?
Stillman & Birn quality is kinda similar to Hahnemuhle. I don't particularly like Moleskine. Their paper just feels weird to me.
I resold a new version Moleskine watercolor book I bought from Bookdepository to a frd as she finished one (old version) I bought for her earlier…she found it difficult to draw and paint on (she usually uses ink and watercolour and had no problem with the earlier version) 😓
I haven't been using Moleskine watercolour sketchbooks for a long time. I won't be going back to them since there's Stillman & Birn now, and Hahnemuhle.
I prefer Moleskine to the Hahnemuhle. The Hahnemuhle often looks patchy and I don't believe the sizing is as good as other brands. Artists like Liz Steel and others have commented that the new version of Moleskine is excellent paper and great for pen and ink. I've never tried the S&B Beta or Zeta, but the Alpha is pretty good for light washes.
I almost always use a spray fixative on my watercolor sketches. It seems to enhance the color somewhat. Or I just imagine it.
Using fixative does change the colour of watercolour slightly. It's always best to test first, or find a fixative that doesn't react in any way.

What are the binder clips for ?
It's to hold down the pages when they buckle with water, or prevent pages from moving with the wind.
Do you have any tips on how to get size and perspective correct without a pencil underline?
