For your information. If you are about to order from jackson art. They offer a free sample pack from stillman& birn. About 10 A6 sheet of paper from all their sketchbooks (Alpha, Beta...). Nice for testing.

i really love the transparency in your watercolour, graduated from deep to light, very water feeling, is there any tricks to achieve this? or depends on the paper or anyting else? so amazing.

I don't think there's any special trick. Just choose transparent watercolours to start with.

Hey teoh I’m a beginner in watercolors and I’m wondering if I should get the 45 cotman set or the 18 Van Gogh set.

Van Gogh 18. Too many colours is going to be overwhelming for beginner.

I would suggest a white night set. But if your option is a van gogh set i could recommend that to. I have a 15 color set and it is a good start.
