I will never forget my 13th Birthday. It was a chilly Sept as I was rolling through the killer HMV Heavy Metal section with my Grandfather in downtown Toronto at the time and I saw this record on display. This album was released that week also, so I asked the employee to throw on Divine Intervention so I could hear just what this BAD ASS album cover sounded like, Slayer? Who? What? By the time Killing Fields was over I pulled off the headphones and I looked at my Gramps who instantly purchased this album for me as I became a Slayer fan right then and there... forever...
Still sits as my fav Metal album of all time to this day honestly. Thanks to my Grandpa for purchasing it for me, that record projected and opened the entire world of Heavy Metal for me. Metallica couldnt even do that, not the way Slayer could lol.
I miss my Grandfather everyday and Slayer as well.
    GREAT video! 🤘💪

Then another year or so past I did the same thing- every......album......back to back and when this riff started it was one of those magical moments. I even tried to replicate the notes in my brain and just could not. Love.

Yeah, I got the album when it came out. The way Killing Fields starts, you just want to play it over and over. Great album! Great song choice and great video!
Cradle of Filth "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids". There's a lot of great parts, and yes it's a long song, but that main riff is just killer! Due to biologics (chemo-type) meds I'm on... the side effects are worse than the benefits. I don't even have the strength to push down on a string, let alone hold my guitar. One day I'll be starting over from scratch, but at least I'll be able to start over. 🤞 Never got to learn this song, but I've always wanted to. I CAN however, live vicariously through you.

Thanks again for another awesome and fun video! Yes! I’m sure I can speak for many of us in saying, we definitely enjoy watching these videos. Where you openly and honestly attempt to learn songs in a very human fashion. It is not only motivating, but it is also very cool to see you step into other player’s shoes.
In my personal opinion, the more challenging and different the song is, from what you’re used to, the more entertaining and motivational your video will be.
My recommendation for you is Periphery’s Scarlet.
Being born in the 80s, all the music since has become part of my natural movement and bag. But, as I attempted Mark Holcomb’s style of riffing (prevalently displayed in Scarlet) I saw that there was a new approach to the guitar that I have not explored prior.
I hope you take the time to try that track. Regardless, I’ll be here supporting you for as long as you are making content. Health and happiness to you and you family mate!

Awesome , one of my favorite albums. Bostaph's 1st with the guys. Kerry doesn't care too much for it from what I heard. I love it. I learned Sex, Art, & Murder I think it's called. It has another spider type riff as well.
    Keep up the great videos.

Deranged off of “pleasures of the flesh”. That would be a killer track to see Ola do.

Love this slayer album, I fist seen them live on this tour, in Dublin with machine head, and it absolutely smashed my mind. Bostaph was on fire that night. I used to jam drums to this album every day

Serenity in Murder is one of the most unnoticed songs in metal. I’d like to see Ola play that one off of Divine Intervention.

yes, man, this is one of my most favorite Slayer's albums! as I read in one review of the album - Divine Intervention is essentially Reign in Blood from the 90s

Such an underappreciated album. I've always had a soft spot for it, and I'd say it's actually one of their most consistent albums. Certainly it's the last Slayer album (of original material) that I really liked. After this one, there's only a few songs here and there that really stood out anymore to me.

I love these series. It’s incredible how quick you get the notes. I’d like to suggest Ghost’s Kaisarion. I don’t know if you’re really into Ghost but in terms of guitar I think it’s a great piece.

My first Slayer album was South of Heaven. It blew my mind that music could sound like that. I had to hide the cassette cover from my parents. But I still would listen to it on my Walkman on the way to Sunday school. After being told my best friend was going to hell because he wasn’t catholic I started wearing my Ride The Lightning shirt underneath my regular shirt. Just out of pissed off disobedience. Metal became my religion after that. 🤘
