Keiko: "Okay girls let's go kill an alien." pours out two shots. Momoka: "We're underage!" Keiko: "Ah right." pours out two more shots. "You're both growing girls." Momoka: "SISTER NO!"
Thank you for playing my game!! I hoped everyone enjoyed it, this game was made for a contest and I plan on expanding this into a full game in the future. Thanks again everyone, I'm so happy!!! *EDIT* Heya everyone! Just a little update and to clear a couple things up: *The contest results are out! How'd MOMOKA do?* MOMOKA ranked #84 (out of 330 entries) in the People Choice category!! As for the judges, they announced their top 10 picks and MOMOKA wasn't included in it, so there is no other chance of MOMOKA winning an award. Thank you everyone for the kind words and criticism! *Soo what's next?* Like I said in my original comment, what's next is to make this into a full-fledged RPG Maker game in the future. *What will be featured in the full version?* Well, I can say that I'm remaking the game from the ground up with the same basic story. Better (hopefully) everything: better graphics, LONGER playtime, music, everything you can think of. Yes, even CGs and less words (at least when scaled). I essentially want to make the full version to be one half adventure-horror and one half mystery, where the story will be split into an A and B story once Momoka loses her legs. Dunno which side will be A or B, but one path will follow Momoka after her legs are removed (which will be similar to this demo up until she meets her clone except - wait for it - there will be more wheelchair gameplay), and the other path will follow Chizuru, Kumi, Arisa, and Momoclone as they start to notice that something is wrong with the school and must figure out what's going on (and you'll finally know what the 'waist' thing was). These two plots will then tie into each other and everyone will meet in the basement, just like in the prototype after Momoclone kills Momoka. This should hopefully fix the rubberbanding plot, the excessive gore, and overall rushed feeling that this prototype had. *No offense but... [proceeds to give perfectly reasonable and respectful critque of the game]* Believe me, I was never once upset or offended by any of the comments left on this video or the last. I was smiling ear to ear to every critique that I read because I was happy that someone wanted me to improve! This isn't to say that I just disregarded any negative feedback with a smile, but that I'm also taking note of every comment with suggestions and being open to them. I'm just a guy who makes games for fun! To be offended by some comments because they didn't like my game instead of using that critique to improve myself to make a BETTER game is just plain childish, and I'd hope that any aspiring devs will think the same way. So whether you were laughing at the game because of how plain ridiculous it was, or was simply grossed out by the gore, or even you genuinely enjoyed at what was presented, I just want to say thank you again for watching/playing! I can't thank everyone enough and if you want to see any updates from me, you could follow me on Twitter @moca_dev_ Thanks again, everyone!
To be fair, using alchohol- a depressant- (the medical kind, not the sad kind) that inhibits and slows your central nervous system/brain functions WOULD, in theory, be a very good way to counter some kind of mind-control. Think about it- when you're drunk, you have a hard time controlling YOURSELF sometimes. Surely it would be JUST as hard for something to control a body/mind under the same effect.
Well... Until you're so drunk that you're stumbling around and passing around, alcohol mostly just removes things like clear judgement and predictive self-control. So ... could go either way. Might make it easier to control you because there is no self-control to override. We wouldn't know ig demons/aliens even get drunk, either.
Okay, this plot definitely has potential. Alien brainwashing in the context of a religious school, definitely original. I personally haven't seen that done in a game before, to be frank. All it really needs is some fleshing out on the worldbuilding area. Maybe make it this kind of last chance kind of school, where the worst of the worst go? That makes it more believable that parents would voluntarily send their kids there. It also gives the writer a chance for some serious characterization of the girls. I would've loved to learn more about their personalities, their reasons for being at the school, etc. And the alien's sex addiction needs to be made a little more believable in the context of the story if the devs wants to keep it in. As it is included now, you could just as easily replace the alien's motivations with uncontrolled cannibalistic urgencies instead of uncontrolled sexual urges. Like, it could just as easily make meals out of the students with its current brainwashing setup. You could even still make its main goal mating in that context, under the excuse of 'it's eating to gain strength for its upcoming mating season'. The sex addiction looks to me like a bit of an afterthought somehow. It's absolutely a perfect power balance to have the alien control the brain of its host, though. It makes it an extremely believable threat, full final boss potential. Frankly, I couldn't have thought of a better writing option. For the love of all that is holy, please don't let that end up on the cutting room floor. Also, certain scenes could highly benefit from drawn scenes in this JRPG type of style. The torture scene, for example. It doesn't even have to be explicit gore. The devs could show it from the waist up with Momoka's face in pain. The final scene definitely needed some art, that was just lackluster. Kumi repeatedly bringing down that axe with the priest's head off-screen, anyone? I don't know, the descriptions alone just don't pack enough 'oomph' to really drive the horror home. And I imagine an image in my head every time someone says something or I read something. Can we get more gameplay of Momoka in the wheelchair, though? That was both a really nice pacebreaker in the story, and really fun-looking gameplay. I think that section needs to be a bit longer. All in all, the devs have some serious potential on their hands here. I'd say that this deserves a full-on remake on concept and premise alone. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for the originality that stories of RPG Maker games tend to have.
For sure, on all of that. Especially the sex craving part. Seems like they just wanted to be able to add 'tentacle rape' in the description of their game or something, even though it doesn't actually happen. I also think it's kind of lame that they'd build up Sister Keiko, have her be the one who figured everything out and give her a hint of a dynamic personality, yet not bother giving her a character portrait for dialogue. I don't know if you could say anything is important in this mess of a published unfinished product, but she still seems pretty important. I think the other Sister should have a portrait, too, and a drawn scene of the priest lying on the ground. Only having portraits of the four little girls, one of which seeming to be less relevant than either sisters or the priest, seems weird. Everyone should have multiple portraits, actually, to give the characters some emotions. If it were an artistic choice to refrain from doing so, I'd respect it, but it seems lazy, especially given the ending. It's so easy to do, too, one of the easiest and more fun parts of making an RPG Maker game even for unartistic people like me. Honestly speaking, I like what I see here, but it's definitely not a finished product. It's like the creator had a deadline to finish this, spent ages on the concept, then fizzled out when it was time to get busy. On the other hand, for it's originality, it also seems like one could come up with such a plot if they got VERY drunk one night, and the lack of more customized content makes me think they might be new at this. There also wasn't much in the way of gameplay, but that often comes second to story in games like this, so though I'd love more puzzles and fights, I suppose that's just my preference. I feel like this could be a very unpolished gem. Hopefully, the creator will accept constructive criticism and consider updating it in the future.
Personally I was wincing the entire torture scene because my brain was doing a fantastic job on filling in the details... I was even tempted to fast forward that particular area because that's how uncomfortable I was. Not adding CG to that part actually worked out imo. But skipping on the ending bit... The ending deserves something more for sure. All that crazy rollercoaster ride and everything just went flat lined at the very end, such a shame.
@@ichigoeater I made the game for a contest, so I had less than 3 weeks to make it. The contest also required for the game to be 1 hour long. The limited graphics and rushed story line wasn't an artistic choice, I would've loved to have more custom graphics all together. Nonetheless, this was supposed to be a prototype to be expanded into a full fleshed out game. I hope you look forward to that!
@@moca-dev hey moca this was a bizarre game and interesting in its own odd ways ! Tbh with some of the descriptions I thought it was gonna be a ryona game demonophobia style lmao Even though it was short because of the circumstances of why you made it I kind of got attached to the lil' crew lol Scribbles ideas aren't bad and tbh would be cool if you implemented them in the game ! Hoping to see the full game come to fruition !
"I'm protecting YOU, Miiisster Policeman! You should be thanking me! My alcho-alcki-alohsm-al... MY DRUNK ASS IS KEEPING THE WORLD SAFE!! So give me back my vodka, you little shit!"
I'm so confused. This was just a fever dream of a horror game. I don't even know what to think of this game. My knee jerk reaction is that it's a bad game, but I can appreciate the absurdity it went for.
"Previously, I had no idea what was going on." I've played this before and I STILL don't know what's going on. But, apparently the game isn't finished yet, from what I've heard. It needs a little fleshing out.
If you've played before do you know if it makes a difference if you don't go into that one room and keep the wheelchair vs. Going in and losing the stitches and wheelchair?
All I could think was TECHNICALLY Kumi this is YOUR fault for making them break into the sister's room to get the church key, having them make all that noise and get into the church for a prank. But sure let's shift the blame. Honestly though this whole story is a roller coaster ride and I understand nothing.
Not really since she didn't make them do it it's like telling someone to slap someone or then are a "wuss" and then you get blamed for the stupid descion to do so
So, in a span of two episodes, this game changes plot from: - An urban legend horror story, to - A Cloning Blues story, to - A low key cosmic horror story, to - An alien invasion story, at an absolute breakneck speed. Never really got to watch a B-movie in my whole life, but I'd expect it to go about something like this. It's *glorious.* And remember kids, when an alien invasion happens remember to drink vodka, because "vodka saves the world!"
It's too dangerous to go alone. Take this. (Gives vodka) This game was very confusing and the descriptions were uh...gross but intriguing. Very unique honestly. Not the best but certainly not the worst.
It kinda feels like the plot gave up on itself. There were a number of things done well, but overall it felt rushed and incomplete as if they suddenly lost motivation between doing the beginning and the rest. The overall sense of mystery and discovery is skewed by everything being shoved into your lap instead of you having to find it for yourself. Perhaps if they transitioned from legless Momoka back to the new clone and let you think it had been a dream for a while before exposing the twisted reality. I just see so much wasted potential. Then there is the plot hole of Sister Etsuka chasing the girls and cornering them in that one room, but then randomly getting ADD and wandering away to feckall-land for ..reasons. Yeah. There is a lot of untapped potential though. Bonus points for saving the world by vodka and shotguns though.
From a cutsey high school funtime, to guro horror, to Spider-man: The clone saga to a cosmic horror to some sort of B horror I can't help but feel the creator had an idea for some huge horror mystery game but either gave up or lost the plot and decided to just throw whatever ideas they had all at once.
It wasn't finished. If you can find the comment by Moca in the comment section here, they'll explain the entire thing as to why the game is just all out and not spacing itself properly.
For anyone curious who may come across these comments: the creator, moca, explained this game was created for a game contest in which they only had 3 weeks to complete a game, that it was an unfinished prototype, and that they hoped to finish it one day; in reply to a comment years later, moca said while they would like to finish the game one day, there are no current concrete plans to do so.
I mean I like the weird plot of this game but I would have preferred if it came out gradually rather than all at once. I'd also like if maybe you saw some of the scenes (like not litterally but some of the implied scenes like in waranohara) rather than it being said in a note.
Gonna try to unwrap this plot: Years ago, an alien comes to Earth... Over time, Sister Keiko comes to find strange things happening at the Girls School she works at. Things... don't add up: people acting strange, girls seemingly drugged, and secret rooms which she's not allowed to enter. But Keiko is an outsider. She notes that, being an alcoholic must be why the alien can't control her. She finds the dead girls with no legs. She finds out what the legs are used for. She finds out what the dead girls had been used for. What they had been through. She is disgusted, seeing this as clear evidence that the Sisters had been mutilating their students and replacing them with clones, to hide their crimes. But... that doesn't make sense with anything we hear from Sister Etsuko. She has a few, very telling, lines. They boil down to this: 1. The Girls killed the Newborn. - According to Keiko, the nuns have been birthing teen girls overnight by cutting the legs off the human. The intent is to replace the humans with the clone, so the clone must be in perfect condition. But... Etsuko points out that the dead, legless girl is the clone, and never refers to Momoka's remarkable recovery from double leg amputation. The "newborn" could only really refer to the clone, based on the context. 2. IT ESCAPED ITS ROOM! - "It" in this context was clearly the alien. The alien supposedly mind-controlling the sisters. It was apparently imprisoned here, until someone let it out. If the sisters were being controlled, like Keiko claims... why would the alien break out of the room? In fact, if they were being controlled, why would the alien even be contained at all? 3. We're trying to protect you. - Look at what Etsuko did: when she learned she had to kill, she said a prayer (a prayer which would mean nothing to an alien creature, who cares not about human life, or [presumably] human faith) and, after she had done what she believed she needed to be done, she begged Arisa to kill her, just as Arisa would go on to beg the party to end her life. Why? For both of them, its because they can't reconcile their faith with causing the deaths of others. Now that we have that info, let's look at it from a less... "drunken rambling" perspective: You are a nun at an all-girls school which holds a terrible secret. A self-described alcoholic nun comes to your convent. She cannot be trusted with much. Definitely not with keeping the horrifying entity at bay. You tell her nothing of the sort. She can't be trusted with something this important. You continue to do what needs to be done. The creature can spawn new beings: clones with all the memories and thoughts attached... But you are a woman of God. You know that these copies have no soul. Technically, you assure yourself, they are not one of God's creature, but a twisted perversion, made to deceive you. You feel nothing for their suffering: they don't exist in the eyes of the Lord. But you realize you can use them against the creature, to keep it at bay... The creature proliferates quickly. Impossibly so. No beings with a womb can enter his chamber, or else there is no telling how many offspring it could produce.... but its sexual desires is literally the only thing which keeps it docile: if it has sex, it will sleep. You realize you have to sterilize the clones, in order for it to be safe to leave them with the creature. But, one day, you realize that something is not right. Someone is toying with your carefully-plotted ploy to keep the monster at bay. And now? It's free. You realize you have to do the unthinkable to keep it from spreading its influence: kill every fertile girl who he could possibly have sex with, to keep him from proliferating. It's the fallout plan: kill everyone. Seal the school. No one in. No one out. It's the only way to be sure. We don't get to see what happens to the alien creature, after it gets out of the Priest's brain... but we do get to see what happens if it doesn't: Momoka becomes the new host. But... why? Why now? Why not any of the others girls which came before her? Because unlike the other girls, Momoka isn't a clone. She's not a part of the creature. She is a vessel, to be controlled. And for all we know, Keiko's plan didn't work. We don't see the alien be destroyed. We just see his VESSEL destroyed, and the alien being described as looking like chewed gum... and a cliff-hanger ending.
I feel like the plot barely makes any sense and is just a jumbled mess of rushed ideas. I read your comment from top to bottom, and I'm still f×cking confused.
It has a good concept, but it just loses it twice. First at the loss of the wheelchair, which could've brought a lot of potential to puzzle solving, and then at the sudden end where we don't even have a clue as to what happened after the alien left the priest
"Good, Bad, I'm the nun with a gun." XD In all seriousness though I'd love to see this game fleshed out more. The plot is a bit confusing, but I understood it for the most part. As it kind of had like a B-horror movie aspect. Maybe have a few more puzzles within the wheelchair for a while longer until she meets her clone. Or have the mother of the clone explain what happened instead of notes. I think that would be more effective on a personal level. If the developer has plans on making this a full version I'd love to play it. ^^
not... really digging this one, to be honest. never been a fan of the school girl getting violated horror theme. person who made it must've worked hard on it, though. the little character portraits were cute
I liked this. It was nonsensical, but it was an entertaining, fucked up ride. Like, seriously, no part of it made sense, but every part of it past the intro was just a fucking rollercoaster, and that's amazing in itself.
"Tie them to chairs so that it's easier to-OH..." I feel u Manly, I feel you. This whole time I'm oh... (;;°͈▵°͈), oH... 〣( ºΔº )〣, OH!!!! (⊙△⊙;;) This game is really messed up because of the use of the young girls to make more of a "horror" factor... The story was a bit all over the place, if they were to maybe put more time into it it could've been better. I wish they would've explained the whole "Waist" thing when clone Momoka got back to the group of real Momoka's friends. It was pretty grotesque but I give it props for explaining the goreish parts well
It was made for a contest. Tho the person does have (Maybe?) plans to continue or expand... maaaaaybe change some stuff. Though fingers-crossed, something might actually come out of it. You dont see often in a horror game a sister having a shotgun while drinking vodka in order to kill this monster lol.
@@puffy3322 It's so cool what people can make in such a limited amount of time tbh! I do hope that they continue and possibly expand mire on the story :^D The whole Sister drinking Vodka to not let the creature gain control is neat to see too. It expands on tropes that real people may do if they were brought into a cultish situation
this game definitely has potential, one thing that i think would make it seem less outworldly and make more sense is if the alien was some kind of demon instead, but the sisters could think the demon is like.. an angel or god itself? they would be way more likely to follow its command if that was the case, and then the reproduction thing or whatever would make a bit more sense, with the whole virgin mary story in the bible, the demon/angel could tell the sisters the clones are for the preparation of the second coming of jesus and the being trying to find the perfect vessel? its incredibly dark and twisted but makes a bit more sense than the alien situation, without having to change the entire dynamic of the game.
I had the same thought, once the story mentioned a "sex addicted alien", it lost all credibility for me. Would be much better if there was more buildup to a reveal like that, the way it's written makes it feel like all subtlety was thrown out of the window to get to use the sprites and the story that the author wanted to. I would write "A shapeshifting demon showing interest in the female flesh" and then reveal the more gory details later.
This needs to be way longer and have like way more stuff happening. It started super strong and kept you asking what was up.. and then? Like i noticed that sins have a huge part in this? So i thought that was something..
I'm going to guess that the "waist" thing Chizuru brought up about the one room is because Yokouchi tattled on these versions of the girls as well, but Chizuru was the one who took the fall this time. She was sedated and strapped onto the table as a result, but Momoka and Kumi saw (part) of this and went into the basement to find out what was going on. If I had to further guess, the dead Momoka isn't the original Momoka, but just another clone. It would explain why Keiko was so surprised about them escaping "already" - this has happened plenty of times before, but never this soon after the newest clones comes out. Maybe there were a lot of girls who went out this time, too, and the sisters were stretched thin dealing with all the sacrifices. So much potential lore, not enough time building it.
Like everyone in the comments has already mentioned, the story has serious potential but I think it would make a little more sense if the "alien" was actually a demon or something, kind of fitting in with the religion theme.
Makes me think of that movie Grabbers where the aliens can't perceive humans if they're drunk. So the whole movie (it's in Ireland) they get blasted. Great movie.
Except purgatory actually made sense and fell within the rules of your typical rpg maker horror. People investigate hunted area, area turns out to be haunted, killer runs around and kills all of them except for the mc. Then the mc picks up a demon axe and slaughters the killer, that's about the only twist there is.
geez I hate the way they treat clones in media. Unless there's a specific built-in reason why, there's no reason to think that the clone is inferior or any less of a person than the original, or that the clone would be mentally distraught over not being the original. Who you are wouldn't change at all just because you're not who you thought you were... there'd be some processing, but I doubt it would even be as bad as finding out your adopted or something, let alone a full mental breakdown. So frustrating
That game certainly went places you wouldn’t expect. Also, I hope the Momoka clone will accept being a clone and live her life in memory of the real Momoka and the pink-haired girl (I’m not exactly sure what her name is).
This was really good, the ridiculousness of it and absurdly quick escalation of the plot was funny, really enjoyed that. And that contrasted with the descriptive sensory writing and simple but effective character writing made it really interesting. Was hoping this would be part 2 out of a 10 part series. That was the only bad part, the ending was unsatisfying. But a short, fun ride 👍👍
As Momoka feel the Vodka kicking in...she no longer could feel fear from the alien, she no longer could feel despair, all she could feel....was the music. This hellish monster was surely not the only one of its kind, but it would be the first one to feel the wrath of the girl who was betrayed. She had no place to return, no parents to love, no memories to told...but inside her, wrath was boiling, and the music was getting stronger. She could hear it inside her head..."the only thing they fear....is YOU" The monster stopped, confusion took over its body, moments ago it was confident that a mere clone wouldn't be a problem, but before him was a being that surpassed him. Pure Rage burned in Momoka's eyes as she picked the shotgun and she loaded the shotgun with malicious intent. : : And so begun the legend of the Doomgal
Noticed the dev in the comments, I do like the potential here, I'm also a sucker for RPG Maker games, and I imagine feedback would be helpful, but I also don't want to be the person running up to someone going "HERES what you need to do" if they're not looking for tips, yknow? So... I'm just gonna leave my hot take here and let jesus take the wheel, lol. I was thinking that since the reveal of the clone aspect was very strong, it could serve it some good to have that take place at the near end. That way the desire for more time to explore the potential of interesting wheelchair-bound gameplay and the pace/tension of the plot would both be satisfied. I won't judge this game in it's current state since it was for a contest and probably rushed for the deadline, but looking at what it has right now, nothing was more dramatic for me than that initial standoff between the two Momokas. So it might benefit the game's narrative to build to that rather than learn it first and then have the other, less jarring reveals (imo) follow. Though alternatively, I will admit that that sudden and abrupt encounter really turned everything I expected to face on its head, and pulling the rug out from under the player/viewer can be a very powerful tool; so I could totally understand wanting to keep it not too far into gameplay if it were full length, either because the dev has another focus they want to prioritize or even for the sake of an attention grab, since not everyone is all that patient for a story to really pick up speed. On the subject of wheelchair gameplay, I do find the limitations and different angle it provided very interesting, and would urge the dev to consider exploring that further. Hell, if you wanted to shift the order of events around a tad, Momoka could reunite with Kumi and Chizuru while still wheelchair bound, and that could serve as a means of combatting any potential stalemates you'd hit by having her like that longer. (Ex: Faced with stairs, Kumi carries Momoka, Chizuru carries the wheelchair, boom.) And vice versa, if that assistance felt like the game was made too easy, split them up somehow. These are all just suggestions and thoughts I had while watching this game, I throw them out there with good intentions since I like to see these kinds of projects take form, but ultimately it's up to the dev (moca) to pursue whatever direction they want to take with it; and I urge them not to compromise what they have envisioned to please people, but also to remain open to considering input and suggestions from fresh eyes. (I've seen some really interesting ideas in the comments here, and I didn't even scroll all that far.)
_Moral of the story: Don't be a snitch_ Also, vodka is a really, really good thing. :D I really enjoyed this for the pure schlock value MBH mentioned. It's like a double popcorn Q horror movie with everything. Sex, tentacles, nuns, a priest/alien, school, clones, murder, ending with a sister using a boomstick. I think that ending was like the final 'cast' taking a bow. I give this 4/5 stars for sheer bizarro.
8:06 - it's killing me, but I saw a bodysnatcher movie where the only people who can tell a normal person from an infested person is basically "crackhead got infested but keeps 'using' because that way alien bug can't control them oh and also they can see it in person's eyes". It was actually a good movie. Saw it... in May of 2013? It was out on DVD then.
Momoka in the beginning with yellow name = previous clone Momoka in 2nd vid with pink name = new clone Etsuko called Yellow Name a "newborn" because it wasn't that long ago since she was made, which is why Sister Kazuko said "no way... already?" right before the confessional sequence. Pink Name Momoka is an even newer clone with implanted memories, made during the time Yellow Name was knocked out. It doesn't line up with why Etsuko called the older clone the newborn, but it does line up with everything else. The nuns were under the Alien's mind control or something, helping it live out its twisted version of a harem paradise. The Alien had no intention to actually impregnate anyone or destroy the world, it just wanted to fuck helpless little amputees for as long as it could without being bothered -- that's why the girls were sterilized. Real, potentially hybrid, babies would be too much trouble for a sex addict, after all. The whole "replace the human race" thing was just something Keiko assumed. The alien probably isn't even capable of that, which is why it tried so hard to hide its activities. The Nuns' "fallout plan" wasn't actually something they had setup in case the Alien got out -- no, it's the _Alien's plan_ in case something went wrong, and it had to burn everything down to try and start over somewhere else. Just like before, it used the nuns to enact its bidding. As for what "wrong" exactly happened, it's probably the new clones discovering the basement.
Now that was a ride. Although I really think it needed an explanation as to why it didnt just mate with its own clones or even the sisters instead of little girls.
That was.....I have no words. I'm not one to give blind praise. That was.....It was all over the place. I mean "Vodka saves the world"? I feel it would been better if it stuck to the horror aspect instead of diverging into sci-fi,. Plus the limited vocabulary puts a damper on it as well. Making a game within a month is nothing to sneeze at sure. It just gives me the "written by a 5 year old repeating what they hear from others and don't have an actual idea what they're talking about" feel. I want to like it. But I can't bring myself to.
If it helps your enjoyment, I believe Keiko was wrong. She's a drunk nun playing detective, and while she may have found physical evidence, a lot of dialogue in the game makes it sound like the Sisters are trying to contain the alien. Things like freaking out when they realize "it escaped its room"... or referring to the mutilated girl as "the newborn" made me realize that... something wasn't quite right. This doesn't match with Keiko's narrative of mind-controlled nuns who are mutilating humans and giving them to an alien. I think, in the end, the Sisters were the tragic anti-heroes of the story: forced to mutilate clones and feed them to an evil space-entity to keep it from taking over the world... and then, having to enact their worst-case scenario thanks to the pro-tags.
This game is something special. It's like unpacking a 20kb compressed file and getting a 1TB culmination of unapologetic horror schlock. I'd give this game a *neato*
That turned into some grindhouse schlockfest real hard. Glorious. Kumi going nutso on the Priest's body was kinda uncalled for though; the man himself didn't really do anything other than get possessed by an alien...
@@moca-dev one tiny thing in case you ever read this and decide to make more games/visual novels. Consider putting a picture/cg image summing up the situation, instead of cutting to black and describing what happened. I know it's good to let the imagination work in dark screens sometimes and we all understand if some of the scenes would be too gory or graphic in this happenstance, so like I said just consider if you work on another project.
Why did they have to cut legs off and “sterilize” while the girl was conscious? Couldn’t they just knock her out and not bother with cutting off legs? That seemed a bit needlessly cruel and done for shock value. I dunno. I like the psychological horror of seeing your own clone before you die. That was a plus. I did t care for the weird torture nonsense though.
I understand that this game was for IGMC, but heck, it'd be a miracle if this game were to win... The only good thing it had was that the gore was well written (and the drunken nun lol), 'cause the rest is full of flaws: Too much telling over showing, too little sprite animation/CGs, the story is just too rushed and cliché, poinless gore instead of relying on real horror techniques... kind of a bad game jam game.
The contest was specifically looking for prototype games to expand into a full commercial release so as long as there is potential, I maaaaaybe have a chance lol.
"too much telling over showing" the alien can basically destroy the world, and everyone is brainwashed, i don't know how you expect this to be shown while still keep the plot that the school is already controlled by the alien you can't show him making a new body, because that ruins the plot twist, you can't show him destroying the world, for obvious reasons, and you can't show him taking someone's mind over because that wouldn't make sense since he already controlled everyone, unless you want the nun to die also pointless gore is famous, so it is not a flaw, it is not your taste so basically all your points are wrong
@@-hello6177 What about character actions? What about things and feelings that the characters could've said and shown instead of being explained like "this character felt this way"? "Show, don't tell" isn't a rule that says that you must never explain anything, it's advice that says that there are things that are better off shown via graphics and dialog, BUT it still allows for some things to be told. In the end, there must be a BALANCE between both shown things and told things. And in a videogame it's even EASIER to show instead of telling, so using infodumps and walls of text in games that are not special like Visual Novels or text-based games is often seen as wrong. So yeah, I don't know why you overfocused on the alien thing, there were other parts in the game that needed more showing. PS: Just because you think I was wrong in one point doesn't mean all my argument was wrong. That's a logical fallacy.
@@moca-dev Didn't know that, I judged it from a "complete game" perspective. Most of my opinion doesn't change, but now I understand its incomplete state.
instead of being explained like "this character felt this way" can you give examples please, it's not that i overfocused on the alien thing, your point is vague, i expected it would be about the story, like it usually is, and not about the characters P.S you talked about 3 things since one of them is just taste, so, your whole argument it's QUITE small, one point is a huge chunk of your *vague* argument

Thank you for playing my game!! I hoped everyone enjoyed it, this game was made for a contest and I plan on expanding this into a full game in the future. Thanks again everyone, I'm so happy!!!
*EDIT*
Heya everyone! Just a little update and to clear a couple things up:
*The contest results are out! How'd MOMOKA do?*
MOMOKA ranked #84 (out of 330 entries) in the People Choice category!! As for the judges, they announced their top 10 picks and MOMOKA wasn't included in it, so there is no other chance of MOMOKA winning an award. Thank you everyone for the kind words and criticism!
*Soo what's next?*
Like I said in my original comment, what's next is to make this into a full-fledged RPG Maker game in the future.
*What will be featured in the full version?*
Well, I can say that I'm remaking the game from the ground up with the same basic story.
[proceeds to give perfectly reasonable and respectful critque of the game]*
Believe me, I was never once upset or offended by any of the comments left on this video or the last.
I can't thank everyone enough and if you want to see any updates from me, you could follow me on Twitter @moca_dev_

Oh hey, super neat! Also super bizarre! It was... something, to be honest! Pretty crazy stuff. Can't wait for the full game!
Yea..
Yeah however its a doubled edged sword as you said that while you can't control yourself, you'll probably won't be mind controlled also.
@@spacetofu5306 true but remember that sometimes being drunk makes you stronker like in drunken fighter (the movie series)
@@sidekic1109 you have a point, afterall all every action and decision has a consequence.
I couldn't have said it any better, these are my thoughts exactly.
Yeah MOTHER RRRUUSSSIA
All I could think was TECHNICALLY Kumi this is YOUR fault for making them break into the sister's room to get the church key, having them make all that noise and get into the church for a prank. But sure let's shift the blame.
Honestly though this whole story is a roller coaster ride and I understand nothing.
It's Kumi and Kokona's fault.
Both of them did.
Not really since she didn't make them do it it's like telling someone to slap someone or then are a "wuss" and then you get blamed for the stupid descion to do so
So, in a span of two episodes, this game changes plot from:
- An urban legend horror story, to
- A Cloning Blues story, to
- A low key cosmic horror story, to
- An alien invasion story,
at an absolute breakneck speed.
Never really got to watch a B-movie in my whole life, but I'd expect it to go about something like this. It's *glorious.*
And remember kids, when an alien invasion happens remember to drink vodka, because "vodka saves the world!"
No wonder Russia love vodka so much. It get rid of the aliens inside of everything!
It's too dangerous to go alone. Take this. (Gives vodka)
This game was very confusing and the descriptions were uh...gross but intriguing. Very unique honestly. Not the best but certainly not the worst.
Haha, hey manly remember the "waist" incident?!
Cause i don't.
Yeah, because making everything a dream wouldn't kill the pacing at all, right?
Technically the Clone's parents would be:
Momoka, The Alien Monster, And the Sister.
Making the original Momoka's parents as the clone's grandparents.
so in the end... the alien was a hentai monster?

I can't help but feel the creator had an idea for some huge horror mystery game but either gave up or lost the plot and decided to just throw whatever ideas they had all at once.
It wasn't finished. If you can find the comment by Moca in the comment section here, they'll explain the entire thing as to why the game is just all out and not spacing itself properly.
@@aarondevack1912
Oh. Well, that explains a lot.
@@aarondevack1912It spaced itself out perfectly.
Why? The plot fits together well.
I mean I like the weird plot of this game but I would have preferred if it came out gradually rather than all at once. I'd also like if maybe you saw some of the scenes (like not litterally but some of the implied scenes like in waranohara) rather than it being said in a note.
Gonna try to unwrap this plot:
Years ago, an alien comes to Earth...
They boil down to this:
"drunken rambling" perspective:
You are a nun at an all-girls school which holds a terrible secret.
Fun ideas! I agree you're onto something.
Wow, I didn’t know Sherlock Homes watched TH-cam!
Jokes aside, why not just burn it down?
Fire typically works on aliens
I feel like the plot barely makes any sense and is just a jumbled mess of rushed ideas.
I read your comment from top to bottom, and I'm still f×cking confused.
@@kiayatwixxer4736Then you must be stupid.
The creature isn't controlling the nuns, it's controlling the priest. Where did you get that idea?

Though fingers-crossed, something might actually come out of it. You dont see often in a horror game a sister having a shotgun while drinking vodka in order to kill this monster lol.
@@puffy3322 It's so cool what people can make in such a limited amount of time tbh! I do hope that they continue and possibly expand mire on the story :^D
The whole Sister drinking Vodka to not let the creature gain control is neat to see too. It expands on tropes that real people may do if they were brought into a cultish situation
This feels more like a hentai game that's being heavily scensored rather than a fully fleshed horror game
Anyone thinks that Chizuru got switched in the confession booth when she screamed?
Omg i just realized. U might be right!
this game definitely has potential, one thing that i think would make it seem less outworldly and make more sense is if the alien was some kind of demon instead, but the sisters could think the demon is like.. an angel or god itself? they would be way more likely to follow its command if that was the case, and then the reproduction thing or whatever would make a bit more sense, with the whole virgin mary story in the bible, the demon/angel could tell the sisters the clones are for the preparation of the second coming of jesus and the being trying to find the perfect vessel? its incredibly dark and twisted but makes a bit more sense than the alien situation, without having to change the entire dynamic of the game.
6:30 I swear if this thing breaks after one use...
This game is like if the girls in a horror/monster hentai could fight back and way less NSFW but has the implications of NSFW.
Like everyone in the comments has already mentioned, the story has serious potential but I think it would make a little more sense if the "alien" was actually a demon or something, kind of fitting in with the religion theme.
That hauntingly beautiful music at the end leaves me in awe.
that pause after "mega-fertilizer"

Me, eating while at work: yes go on 2009 horror film?
geez I hate the way they treat clones in media.

She had no place to return, no parents to love, no memories to told...but inside her, wrath was boiling, and the music was getting stronger. She could hear it inside her head..."the only thing they fear....is YOU"
The monster stopped, confusion took over its body, moments ago it was confident that a mere clone wouldn't be a problem, but before him was a being that surpassed him.
Pure Rage burned in Momoka's eyes as she picked the shotgun
and she loaded the shotgun with malicious intent.

And so begun the legend of the Doomgal
Thank you for the feedback! I joined the contest to get my feet wet in game dev, so I'm definitely looking for all sorts of comments.
_Moral of the story: Don't be a snitch_
Also, vodka is a really, really good thing. :D
I really enjoyed this for the pure schlock value MBH mentioned.
CLICKED THE NOTIFICATION SO BAD YAY ILY MANLY!
It was out on DVD then.
my taste in stories is random and I like this regardless the random stuff it put
"Well, I guess that being an alcholic has been good for one thing"
The Demoman destroyed the room. It's the only answer.
Yo this was a fevered fuckin dream
All hope is lost when even Manly doesn't know the plot
@ 27:37 Before anyone retches, think back to that sandy taste when you last ate shrimp. Or that dark discoloration you saw...
Yeah...
Maybe I should take another shot of vodka just to be safe
Momoka in the beginning with yellow name = previous clone
Momoka in 2nd vid with pink name = new clone
Etsuko called Yellow Name a "newborn" because it wasn't that long ago since she was made, which is why Sister Kazuko said "no way... already?" right before the confessional sequence.

In a so important
( not impossible recommendations)
Important situation u don't just decide like that and say ok.
I was born in 2003 and this game was made and got released...
I miss plot. I never thought I would, until I saw that this game's plot was all over the place
Yes I've been waiting for this👏👏👏.
I’m super interested in this.
Thank you manly!!
You say purgatory is your personal favorite game on the channel.
I think this is my "purgatory".
Aww, thank you! I'm glad you liked it a lot!

It said addicted to sex.
So the empty not mpty.
So the empty room monstergrabbed disabled momoka to.
its been so long since there's been a batshit crazy rpgmaker game hell yeah
That... was one VERY specific fetish
i regret watching this while eating goodjob manly goodjob magnificent
Well, that was one hell of a crazy rollercoaster.
Now I want a sauce with this kind of tag (mind control, drugged, nuns, but not the chopped legs)
Eyy more content on this!
edge lord creepy pasta: the game!
Can't escape sexy alien fun time if you can't run
Pop into this game like: Oh other Rpg "horror" maker I'll stick around for the story
Going like: what the fuck! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!
Me after watched this
Alright every time I had to close my light off i have to take a *SHOT OF VODKA* to make sure the demon doesn't follow me
this was the craziest rpg horror game I had heard of
I almost vomited hearing the story. This was more disturbing than scary...
the background music when they meet Sister Keiko sounds just like the song Ho Taru Koi
This game actually needed thrice the length and meat to make this plot go
What if the original didn't go into the alien room, but just went straight up the stairs instead?
With all this talk of clones, I am suddenly reminded of a small pig plush...
Who got the wonderful idea to eat while watching this?
*I DID*
I understand that this game was for IGMC, but heck, it'd be a miracle if this game were to win...
"too much telling over showing" the alien can basically destroy the world, and everyone is brainwashed, i don't know how you expect this to be shown while still keep the plot that the school is already controlled by the alien
you can't show him making a new body, because that ruins the plot twist, you can't show him destroying the world, for obvious reasons, and you can't show him taking someone's mind over because that wouldn't make sense since he already controlled everyone, unless you want the nun to die
also pointless gore is famous, so it is not a flaw, it is not your taste
so basically all your points are wrong
Most of my opinion doesn't change, but now I understand its incomplete state.
instead of being explained like "this character felt this way"
can you give examples please, it's not that i overfocused on the alien thing, your point is vague, i expected it would be about the story, like it usually is, and not about the characters
P.S you talked about 3 things since one of them is just taste, so, your whole argument it's QUITE small, one point is a huge chunk of your *vague* argument
