Damn... I was really hoping to see a new version of the old Master Air Maker 8. Really want to see a single tower, dual fan air cooler with vapor chamber that can be installed without it impeding nor obstructing RAM modules.
The prototype they showed this time indeed had some blood relation with MAM 8, which employed a combination with integral heat pipes directly connected to the vapor chamber and supplementary heat pipes independently attached to the vapor chamber. In contrast, CM showed another prototype of 3DVC cooler at Computex whose all heat pipes were integral ones, having the potential to offer better performance because of lower heat resistance than attached heat pipes. I believe, if CM has different prototypes under the project V8/3DVC CPU Cooler, the performance of the one shown at CES should be closer to the lower end among its peers.

6:14 makes me wonder how Cooler Master can get 1300W out of a SFX PSU, but Corsair needed to create a SFX-L PSU to get just 1000w out of theirs.
Totally different beasts. The ripple on the Corsair is so much lower - go check my review on the SFX and youll see

All I want from Coolermaster is the Qube 500 like the Macaron version but base color is black and gold and orange as backup panels.
Buy the black and then send the panels off to be powder coated
