This was satisfying to watch. I had to use a heavy-duty fly swatter build because i couldnt beat it with what I WANTED to use. I felt dirty....you played how i wanted to. I think your speed was definitely key.
I know that feeling. I spent 4 hours trying to kill that thing when I had had work the next day. Changing my build feels like cheating. I figured out a trick though and then I was mopping the floor with him and my middle weight ac.
@@Ian501st I was using pile bunker build and even then I struggled a little bit. I managed to kill it by luck when I was low HP because it went right in front of me at the perfect time for no reason and i just hit him with my pile bunker again to finish off lol
I love the laser dagger now on lightweight, mobile builds. Especially on the shoulder with dual kinetic guns. Feels so cool. And the dps and stagger could be endless lol. Shotguns, pistols, machine guns or submachine guns, rifles. They all work. I like dual plasma or laser weapons too, but i feel like the overheat is often too long and messes up the flow and dps, even if mixing rapid fire and charging. And i can't explain it, but I feel like the laser weapons have this weird unpredictable spread. I dont think it's the bullet travel time.
Just tried this build out and damn, IBIS completely crumbled. Even failing to dodge his attacks I did it first try VS 30 minutes of attempts with my normal story build
I had this build through NG+ and NG++ and had no trouble at all barring Ice Worm and certain missions with multiple tough enemies. It can't be overstated how much a properly built mech with consideration for all the parts makes a difference in the game's difficulty.
Awesome movement and dodging! The Sweet Sixteen and Zimm should swap reload times. The former is such an interesting all out weapon, the Zimm is just stupidly overtuned.
I think the sweet sixteen is fine as is just because you need to be at point blank range to get most of the pellets to hit and it's very powerful even solo, but Zimmerman definitely needs to match the sixteens reload time if not be slightly longer. It's too good at range and defeats the purpose of the other two kinetic shotties imo
glad that they are biped, the little airial lift that real reverse joints get while ground quickboosting is a mixed bag that hurts more than it helps. for example if you quick boost and then hold ascend nachreir will actually reach higher than kasuar before running out of energy because instead of doing a quickboost that pops you into the air and then flying, you instead do a quickboost followed by a jump then flying, also if you want to ground quick boost frequently or have a generator with a really short recharge delay that little bit of air time will rob you of the jump distance bonus and slow down your energy recovery.
I hate the reverse joint legs but it might be because I don't understand how to use them properly. I think only the coral generators can take advantage of how often you'll be airborne using them. I'm considering trying a sniper build with them though
@@XAfroWarriorX they are really really good at jump dodging and tend to be slightly faster with the QB because of the jump distance, with the disadvantage of what gameguy said, at the same time because of the jump height/distance they are also really good at getting above/behind good piloting, at least in my experience
I'm pretty sure most people got walled by this boss specifically because they were using the dual mini gun songbird/needle launcher tank setup so don't feel too bad about it lol
@@XAfroWarriorX Oh, I fought it with double Gou-chens, and double Earshots too. My dumb thought was "more damage GOOD". The silver lining of that is, well, beating it with this incredibly slow method DEFINITELY taught me it's attack patterns. The hard way.
Very fast firing rate and quick reload as well as good initial and lasting impact damage to the stagger gauge. I switched from the other handguns and never went back
Is there really no way to increase the number of repair kits you can have? Having only three, and not being able to refill them throughout a mission, is exhausting.
there shouldn't even be any repair kits, thats never been an armored core thing, and in all other gens you had more AP, since the repair kits are a flat number not a %, they should have just had that all built into your AP, i hate having to stop and use them, its all just AP that should be on the parts
You can't increase repair kits unfortunately. Most of the missions can be completed within minutes. You do eventually unlock the option to increase how much they restore however.
Just don't take damage 4'head. Just kidding, but yeah that is kinda part of the game. You have a very limited supply of hitpoints. You can increase it via the OS Upgrades, as well as reduce the damage you take.. but you just increase your total pool of hitpoints by a bit. So either dodge like hell, or make sure the enemy doesn't get to open fire before their ass is grass. And if you cannot do either of those... Get good. And i don't mean this like derogatorily, i was stuck on balteus for 3 days my man. I am garbage. I enter a multiplayer 1v1 match and regardless of builds I am destined to the scrapheap. And i wouldn't have it any other way. The whole point of the game is for you to *improve*. You get better at using every single facet the game offers you because its that hard. You will get pummeled until you can beat the opponent in front of you. Until every single thing you learned just clicks and you finally beat this piece of shit that's been haunting your dreams for the past 3 days by smashing a gigantic metallic rod down its stupid fukken face. And if that doesn't appeal to you... Well, sorry to tell you, it might just not be the game for you. And that is fine. It is okay to not enjoy a game and set it down. To quote My Man Reggie The game is fun. The game is a battle. If it's not fun, why bother? If it's not a battle, where's the fun?
He’s using the 5 shot needle guns, the dagger sword on his back left unit, and the angled handle shotgun on his back right shoulder. The lightest reverse joint legs, plus high firearm specialization arms. Couldn’t tell you about the internals
Loving all the AC6 vids I am getting from the reco feed. I hope one addition that FS gives later on in either an update for AC6 or for AC7 is the option or a set of weapons or parts that focus on electronic warfare to hack an enemy mech to disable them non lethally. Also opens up the option to harvest parts or weapons from enemy mechs so we can use them on our own mech or sell them for funds. Would be extra awesome if this was doable for boss fights too maybe just make it more tricky to perfectly pull off but still doable and lets us get special parts or weapons from harvesting from boss units! Up to FS if they decide to make that available from the start of new game or just give that option after NG+++++. Something that might let us go for what can amount to a pacifist run specially when we consider how FS played with the story for this game. Having to fight characters that we grow to like can suck so bad. Having the option to disable their mechs without blowing them up or having the capacity to pull off Kira Yamato style non lethal mech destruction BS moves would be a nice thing specially if they design it where it'd be extra tricky to do somehow. Dismembering a parts off the enemy mechs would be cool too. Pulling out the enemy FCS unit out of their mech or whatever lets them pull off the moves they abuse during their respective boss fights and letting players use a copied version of the Boss unit's moves wpuld be nice too. Albeit adjusted for balance purposes of course. Also I hope Bamco lets FS make their next Gundam game or maybe the next Another Century's episode or maybe a FS tactics edition ripping off or straight up improving the style used in the Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 3. SEGA shat the bed so bad with that game series so badly that it made me wish that style gets ripped off wholesale for the next Super Robot Taisen or whatever action game gets a tactical rpg spin off. OK I think I like this idea gonna go copy paste this to other videos and make a compressed version of this to FS/ Miyazaki's twitter or something hahahhah would be awesome if folks who like this idea would spread it around. Who knows FS might just do it!
Its looks like duel needle guns + sweet sixteen shotgun and laser dagger with alula booster and all the nacht ac parts and the generator looks like its one of the BAWS/dafeng generators, its impossible to tell what fcs he has tho
