@@limitbreak2966 The trick with balteus is once you figure out how to dodge the missiles(boost forward and let them just pass by), next step is to keep enough distance as to not get hit by his flame swords. And once he gets staggered bump and kick or assault armor. Rinse and repeat.
Ibis is one of the more challenging bosses where you have to be on your toes in terms of remembering the patterns and mechanics but the most squishiest because of it.
This guide really helped me with it's patterns and after some practice I managed to beat it with 2 medkits remaining. It's definitely one of the harder bosses in the game but not impossible to beat.
If you're good at strafing and keeping yourself mid range/above the target you might have good luck equipping the 10 cell missile pods on each shoulder and the hand held 4 cell missile launchers. You'll be able to keep a near continuous salvo going on. I beat the target on my second try with these weapons and a standard biped AC. Ntm who doesn't want to feel like Balteus
This guide and your comment on 4 missile launchers saved me. Beat her first try with these weapons. And my AC wasn't even optimized because I was rushing.
I've been trying this boss for over an hour and I just now turned it off to take a break so I looked this up.. and the entire time I never once flew up to avoid attacks... it's like I just forgot that I could do that, which is probly my biggest thing with this game. I'm a soulslike fanatic and it's like I get tunnel vision when I'm fighting bosses in this game. I've struggled with this game more than any other fromsoft game.. but to be honest I'm pretty impressed that I was able to get ibis down to about 1/8 of her health in the 2nd phase without leaving the ground..
Thank you. After 20+ tries and reconfiguring my AC a touch, I beat it. Didn't realize I could just strafe most of the attack instead of dodging. Waiting for opportunities to attack also helped.
I can't really recall if I even once I had fun playing this game. Like what the fuck? Do the devs expect us be actual anime protagonists with impenetrable plot armors or what? Nearly got him a couple of times easily and almost like it began reading my movements because I couldn't even get to the second phase all of a sudden.
Thanks a lot for this! I was struggling with this boss until I started using the dual Stringer + melee weapon setup. I hadn't even realized the game gave me 2 Stingers. I thought it was only 1!
Ok I'm struggling on this and can't figure out why it never gets staggered. Makes sense this would be out of date by now because that looked way too easy
Useful moveset breakdown, helped a lot. Did it with Dual Linear Rifle Harris, Songbird and Needle (weight restricted for dual needle). Found out also that if you lock immediately after fight starts and unload the big guns you get a free stun off the bat. The most important thing I learned is to keep some distance in order to not be trolled around by hyper movement bs to the point you never know where the Ac is.
Thank you, i was stucked against this boss all day yesterday. Your technique worked realy well for me. I just replaced the left hand weapon by the laser lance. It's less powerfull but seems easier to use for me.
I finally did it with 2 Needles, 2 Gattling and the fast tank tranks, medium Abot-008. The secret was to use the auto-lock(mapped to an easier button) AND TO NOT FORGET TO NEVER MOVE THE CAMER STICK. That would break the lock. This way the gattling guns easily chipped away and I stayed pretty close to it and kept firing off needles. They hit surprisingly often after Ibis does a dash if you're close to it.
Your vid gave me necessary hints on how to dodge and beat this boss. Highly mobile AC was an amazing gamechanger. I didn't have two stun needles, but after a few tries I managed to do it with one. So thanks. Thanks a lot. Now, after two nights of unsuccessful attempts I can see the ending of the game.
Tried this but someone said the needles are nerfed for stunning so I went back to my original setup and beat it just using the mechanics to know when to shoot or dodge. I didn't even change my OS tuning back either which would have made it even easier

This is without a doubt the worst "boss" fight style I've ever encountered in gaming history but then again this is only second (and definitely last) from soft game I'll ever own. At first these games seem like masterpieces but after a little while they becomes a repetitive mess of "SpongeBobss" after "SpongeBoss" in a never-ending repetitious cycle were the same fight is thrown at you over and over yet is only harder because each iteration of the boss comes with a bigger health bar and extra lives regenerating itself after it's been blown to bits or stabbed through the aorta! 💥Game breaking spongeboss🔥fromsofts ridiculous "scripted contextual damage" terrible hitboxes and blatant cheating just destroy this title like a car wreck when you run into this "spongeboss" who can easily take both the most powerful Bazookas and double songbirds straight to the grill without taking down its health more than a fifth while it reciprocates by killing you with three hits as if your Hi-Tech mech is made of paper mache like a filthy pinata stuffed with Mexican bubble gum. This is the second and last fromsoft game I'll ever own with SUCKIRO being the first and it suspiciously suffers from the exact same problems like terrible hitboxes, immersion busting animations and the worst scripted contextual damage I've ever seen... I paid 40 bucks for the hunk of trash and now I'm ashamed how many hours I've wasted because every enemy feels the same and the bosses are just recycled garbage Every enemy in the game can track your every move even when you're out of their visual range drawing a perfect bead when you're on the other side of a building half a mile away, who comes up with this garbage? One has to assume it's made by the mentally🐵tarded because it could literally be fixed with a save anywhere feature so you didn't have to repeat the same broken experience over and over when you run into a janky "spongeboss" The scripted contextual damage makes it feel like you're rummaging around in a old box for a set of keys because once you learn the way to beat the boss you're no longer challenged by it because it's not about speed, timing and the smart application of logic, it's about knowing what move and weapon combination to use when and REPEATING segments enough times to remember the rhythm it's demands feeling much more like a mating dance between two tarded chickens rather than a real fight and this is coming from a guy who has decades of mat time in MMA and grew up fighting in Kendo. SUCKIRO and armored Crap 6 have the same set of identical problems that could be heavily mitigated by something as simple as a save anywhere feature because I can't imagine the herculean effort it would take to go into these games and fix their terrible awful broken hit boxes, ridiculous immersion busting animations and god-awful scripted contextual damage. These titles are hard for all the wrong reasons and feel like they're designed to force players to clamber for answers instead of experiment with intelligent strategy because intelligent strategy just doesn't work in these games because they're based on scripted contextual damage not the laws of thermodynamics.

Every enemy in the game can track your every move even when you're out of their visual range drawing a perfect bead when you're on the other side of a building half a mile away, who comes up with this garbage?
One has to assume it's made by the mentally🐵tarded because it could literally be fixed with a save anywhere feature so you didn't have to repeat the same broken experience over and over when you run into a janky "spongeboss"
The scripted contextual damage makes it feel like you're rummaging around in a old box for a set of keys because once you learn the way to beat the boss you're no longer challenged by it because it's not about speed, timing and the smart application of logic, it's about knowing what move and weapon combination to use when and REPEATING segments enough times to remember the rhythm it's demands feeling much more like a mating dance between two tarded chickens rather than a real fight and this is coming from a guy who has decades of mat time in MMA and grew up fighting in Kendo.
That game is just not fun...way too hard
This game and boss is absolute garbage. The hardest boss is the damn camera
Ibis feels like this games Melania only without heals and Waterfell.
