Chase of PickUp Truck goes through Long Beach, South Gate, Commerce and Monterey Park. Suspect wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, he reportedly pointed AK-47 at an officer.
There should be a special vehicle code statute that revokes the driving privileges of these guys for life.
The commentator loves to hear his own voice. 500 words to say "the truck was going north". He will probably bite the tip of his tongue off if he slows down.

I would be straight up terrified to see a DOZEN police cruisers following behind me... they’re not chasing... but then again I’ll never put myself in a situation like that. What a crazy ass...

I recognize this commentator's voice....He's always a sensationalist! If the truck makes the slightest illegal move, his voice raises and he gets real excited and talks about the erratic driving and what an unsafe maneuver etc. Really bugs me... Some of the commentators are terrific!

The chase could have been over around 4:06 as the truck had no where to go. But people had to be idiots (particularly the SUV) and move their cars enough to let the dude thru.
That's exactly what they are supposed to do. The police do not want vehicles remaining in front of an allegedly armed (AK-47) subject. It's not their job to block or try to stop him. Sirens and blue strobes mean get the hell out of the way.
AK-47? If I were a cop, I would never attempt to spike a car with a gun or long gun. You spike in plain view of the driver, not from the rear. He will be living in a gated community for a period. No lease, not rent, water, electric, or food bills to pay.

For all of you who are wondering, that's fog not smog. LA has cleared up a lot since the 60s. The engine modifications have done a lot with catalytic converters and such. Plus, your car has to be "smogged" when you buy or sell a vehicle. There has been a lot of work over the last 30 or 40 years to clean up pollution in all forms.
