OMG what a difference listening to the news casters in this was. They acted normal, didn't over do anything or say ridiculous things with a play by play others do like we can't see what's happening. These 2 were relaxed,had good chemistry and said actual interesting things. Good job guys.

just letting you guys know, the reason why chp follows pursuit vehicles, especially on the freeways, is because their strategy is to run the vehicle out if gas and there is always at least three units behind the vehicle, two officers and one supervisor who calls the shots
I can go 200 miles on a half tank of gas. So, that blows your theory. CHP follows (and often takes lead) on freeways because they know the freeway much better than local cops. Very rarely do they purposely let the pursued vehicle "run out of gas"
Someone should tell the commentators about the fuel shut off valve, that is actuated in many cars when the vehicle experiences a sharp impact. One of the benefits of a pit stop is that when the car comes to a sudden stop, that fuel shut off valve disables the vehicle.
I didn't know about that. So a criminal can disable your car by slightly rear-ending you, then get out and rob you. I'm not so sure that's a good idea.
It would also be a stupid move for the crook ! When he finds a 44 magnum stuck in his face , Then he would just have to ask himself one question , Do i feel lucky ? Well do ya punk ?

But something they should not have missed is that many modern vehicles have a safety feature that shuts the engine off if a spinning accident is detected. So on those vehicals a sufficiently fast spin on a P.I.T. maneuver shuts the dar off.
He's only doing like 55 60 have the cop passing and slam on the brakes right in front of him it will disable that car! You don't want to pit them send them into somebody's home or somebody car. So race past them or get a car in front of them and slam on the brakes! Stop Sticks work but only if you know where he's going to be he could turn at any time has been! Not to mention there's a lot of places where laying no stop sticks will not do anything except make him cut across a intersection into oncoming traffic a whole list of ways to evade stop sticks! He's not going that fast get in front of him and slam on the brakes so it deploys his airbags disorient & overwhelm! Just because he has a high powered car doesn't mean he's willing to use it I don't think he's broken 65 the whole Chase? Race pass when it is clear and slam on the brakes in front of him. That should deploy his airbags causing enough disorientation for you guys to move in before they get their wits about them! No it's very easy to put somebody even in the straight line even with full air in the tires the problem is controlling where they're sliding you don't want to kill someone else because you pitted him to try to stop him and he went into oncoming traffic or up onto a curb and hit some pedestrian or maybe even through somebody's front door! Do you see how he's avoiding traffic you don't think he's going to do the same thing with your stop sticks? They would have got him if the cop going straight on with him but have just hit him straight on with a push bar the police officer should have been safe but the airbags would have deployed in the assailants car again causing a massive amount of disorientation while you overwhelm them! I'll see you at this point when he starts going the wrong way you're wishing you got in front of him and just slammed into him head-on or slammed on the brakes those SUVs could take it! Push bar on the front with a protected the officer if you would have slammed into him when he made that turn out and they tried to pinch him now they need to get in front of him and slam on the brakes if they truly think he is armed and a threat I know every minute they let that chase continue he is putting many public lives at risk! I'm just saying if I was a police officer it makes the most sense. Now they got him freaked out and he's really starting to get stupid they could have ended this just by slamming into his front bumper rear-ending or when he made that turn instead of pinching him the officer facing him should have just slam straight into him. all newer cars have a fuel pump that shuts off when the rear is hit.. It hit the rail hard enough to shut the car down cause of no fuel!!!
